Let no one yield, we're on the field where deeds eclipse the sun; where the brave are told on a thread of gold, the tapestry is spun. As they speak of dreams, their armor gleams, this calm before the storm... Where all can see their destiny, the bishop takes the pawn.

I got back from my first baseball game, July 3rd. Unfortunately, we left to beat the crowds to the DC Metro somewhere in the 8th inning with the Washington Nationals down 5-2. Then the Nationals came back to beat the Mets 5-6, so I missed a pretty good ending.

I'm the third from the left, with my father and brother. Some cousins and relatives are in the background, too.

Most of the pictures I took in Pittsburgh this past weekend did not have people as the subject, but here are a few that did.

My uncle, my father, and I on the northside waterfront (side note: why is there no fence?):

dscn7549.jpg

There's no picture with all four of us in it, but here's basically the same shot with my other uncle swapped out for me:

dscn7548.jpg

This picture shows our faces, but doesn't make entirely apparent where we are:

And this one makes apparent where we are, but doesn't really show our faces:

Stadium lights make for too much contrast. 31.gif

Not gonna lie, Chatbot...you remind me of G.L.a.D.O.S. sometimes.

Went to Colorado earlier this summer.  Here are some pictures from that trip:

Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Denver

Denver-InFrontOfRedRocks2.jpg

Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs

GotG-OnTheRocks.jpg

Rocky Mountain National Park

RMNP-AGloriousView.jpg

(Note: the road seen in the last picture carving a path along the mountain is the same road I'm standing along side.  It's called Trail Ridge Road, and a little ways from that point, it becomes the highest paved road in America.)

Here's a picture that I took yesterday. Yes my hair is now like that again. If you want to know why, just ask. But I'm going back to the Hospital. Wish me luck. I lost my tan too... 37594473415153901523268.jpg

First, the unvarnished me.

20100829094453.jpg

Did you ever think that old bounder might be real?

Then a shot with the real Nonny Moose

20100829094839.jpg

I'll bet you thought he was fictional, when he is just a stuffed shirt.

Actually, he is not the origin of my moniker.  If you say it all at once, you'll get the idea.  I got lucky that no one else had taken it.  On other sites, you could be A Nonny Moose352 or something like that.  Maybe the idea spread from here, but it is so obvious that I doubt it.  However, Français to the rescue.  Very few sites, if any, have orignaux on their menus.

There is about 1  tonne difference between a nonny mouse and a nonny moose.  Anyone who would characterize himself as a mouse probably is one.  I, on the other hand, like the grasses on the bottom of the ponds.  I like the lady meese, too.  Aaaurrnngh!

I have never been on the Fiickr site, and probably will never go there.
