Thanks for the great comment anyway!Jacqulina- Thanks 1.gifHawkeye9- Hey thanks a lot for adding me to your signature! It's been quite a while since the last update! Among other things I have been experimenting with making ploppable suburbs using ilive reader and lot editor, with some success, kinda for the hell of it! They won't be taking over Parkopolis though. (No residents)
Anyway, this update will show the outskirts of the city to the west and some of the first rural areas to be created in this region...

Wonderful CJ, it definitely will be an inspiration for my fledgling region. Could you perhaps list some of the major mods you use? For instance, I notice how your streets are angling and you have those cul-de-sacs. What mod is that? Also, you have so many tree lined streets, is that manual plopping or is the city beautification jacked way up?

I love the road networks in your suburbs, they look great. As always, I love your extensive park designs and all the paths that go with it. I also really like how you have a couple of residential communities that are encroaching on some rural land. I like the industrial area you have built too.

And please tell me where you go those parking lot in the 5th picture!

I like the rural sectors, especially the pic with the large warehouses. I like the way you've designed the rural areas also.

Victor Valdes- Thanks very much Victor 1.gifSolidseal- Well, some of the parks don't take that long to make, as long as you have a rough idea of what you want it to look like. Thanks for your comment!Greekman- Wow, I'm really glad you find it stunning! Thanks a lot 9.gifusfwoody- Thanks! I'm pretty sure you need the NAM (Network Addon Mod) for angled streets and cul de sacs, and the mod for the trees on the streets is herekelistmac- Thanks!TmiguelT- Really? Thanks so much 48.gifN106- Thank you very much 44.gifbuildsolid- Cheers!selles- Thanks, it does take considerably more time to make modern sprawl than inner city grids! The parking lots you are inquiring about are found here!ironicepitome- Thanks very much!aiumkastarkius- Thank you 9.gifgame40k- Thanks so much! Welcome to Simtropolis as well. Although I won't upload the map because you can't upload regions with cities, plus without Parkopolis it's not a very interesting region anyway!
    Update 15- More semi-rural areas

Thought it was about time for another update so here it is! This update will show some of the areas just north of the ones shown in the last update.

Very impressive realistic suburbs.. the flow from manufacturing to residential and commercial along the main roads reminds me of the burbs round the golden horseshoe (eg. oakville and burlington). Only suggestion would be to find a way to randomize some of the ploppable trees.. it can be a chore Im sure but it would pay off.. some of the wooded areas repeat just a little too much.

Another impressive update there. I'm loving your industrial areas, it sure looks that you know how to pull some very realistic cities 4.gif.

i got one question though... what kind of trees are you using now on the fourth picture near the Pond? Are those Sim Fox Trees?... The look very realistic 4.gif

    Nice CJ.

The two updates  on this page are green and spatious and remind me in a positive way of Mr. Beer's building style.

I didn't see Mass Transit so I guess this CJ is situated in / influences by the USA?!?

    Take care

Great looking city. The suburbs are really well planned out and reflect real life brilliantly. Also the transition from city to rural has been accomplished seamlessly with your use of mini industrial estates and clusters of warehousing, as well as the increasing distance between houses. Maybe a few villages and small towns to come?

The down town area and the peninsular also look great, I was wondering how come there is no bridge between the two? Seems like it would make sense, especially with the port beyond, just a thought.

Keep up the good work, hope to see more soon.
