The layout and concession roads remind me of Detroit- and the secondary downtown reminds me of North York Centre in Toronto.

Parkopolis style is great. I will try to make my cities like Parkopolis :-D

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

"The wisest men follow their own direction." - Euripides

Wow dude! Your region will surely prosper because of that new port. By the way, aren't you bothered about your rail texture? I had that problem once, the rail color is different when its diagonal and different when its straight. I have somekind of OCD and I searched for a solution for the problem, and I found it. Unfortunately, I forget the URL...hehehehe...Good Luck!

^ that sucks, i could really use a mod for that rail texture bug, it bothers me too.

Your port is awesome dude, i like the oil tanks you have set up, and the railroads look logical... unlike mine...

Congrats on almost reaching 1 million sims in your region 4.gif

GreekMan- 100 posts! Thanks for the comment!

Muck308- Thanks!selles- Thanks, it took a long time to make the port!TmiguelT- The diagonal part was understandably quite tricky to terraform neatly, but it wasn't much more difficult than the rest of the port. I just plopped some industrial on it!jonpaulosiglos- Thanks! Yes I was a bit confuddled by the rail texture, but the rail in parkopolis is entirely confined the this seaport area, so it's not too much of a problem yet. If you find the URL again though, please tell! 1.gifSC4Poser-moser- Thanks! The rail might look logical close up but all it really does is link the crane areas up. It doesn't go beyond the seaport, lol! But I have fixed the transport bug now, thank goodness. Hi everyone,

Just a 'progress report' here. Firstly I have sorted the mass transit issue out, I actually done that a few updates back, but I am going to see if I can introduce some rails 'n' stuff gradually.

I am currently almost completely changing the outlying downtown area of Parkopolis to be more realistic. I have downloaded quite a few buildings to break up the repetetive maxis buildings that used to lurk in the outlying areas, and I am thinking about making an elevated rail system for zoomin' round on. The overviews of the downtown won't have changed much by the end of it but, close up, it will look a lot better!

    Heres a teaser-

    Newdowntowntease.jpg

    BTW.......Parkopolis has over 1,000,000 residents now! 39.gif

Wao... ! Just discover yr CJ. You really got a fantastic creativity, In terms of realisation, everything is perfect (The airport of course, everybody already told you, the seaport "impressionant", and the parks, so much diversity !!!). Thanks a lot to give me inspiration... 44.gif

Dude! At last an update! I was waiting for one...about the rail texture thing here it is https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1564 I do have another question? How do you stop the growth the maxis buildings? I tried everything like the Colossus Addon Mod but still, my custom buildings don't appear? Good luck and God bLess!

    wow , what an update!

I love your port , the cemetery , your new highway , and urbanized developments , although it looks as if nobody uses the highway.

I love the way your region looks in general , especially the suburban neighborhoods! they look awesome!

whats more , your working on making it even better (more than others do so), and that makes this cj more interesting than most.

    this is facinating!

ps: what I meant by "simcities" was , that the individual cities can't be larger than 256x256 tiles , that really stinks.

    keep up the great work.
