Hi,

This is my first CJ so bear with me

Seneca County was originally inhabited by the Seneca League of the Iroquois Nation.

The beautiful glades and forests were soon discovered by the ever expanding Americans.

The regions close proximity to Syracuse provided easy access to the trade route along the Erie canal  and an escape to upper class residents of Syracuse. The resort town expanded, and the glades and forests were destroyed to make room for suburbia around 1956. The City of Arlington, New York gained city status in 1959 and soon surpassed its neighbor, Syracuse. Some of the forest was set aside as State Land in the 1960's.

The County today:my.php?image=senecaregion1mj1.jpgmy.php?image=senecaregion1mj1.jpgsenecaregion1mj1.jpg

Please excuse the blue horizontal lines. don't know whats up with them!?!?!?!??!

Please also realize that the city is still under development.

I love the picture with the trees next to the skyscrapers. It's very unique, bringing nature so close to man made. Very good! Also, this is so much better than when I started! Kudos for making such a great start!

looks really, good some people when they says its my first cj think of it as an excuse incase their city is bad, yours isn't.

your suburbs look great, your hihways and sunken highways are awesome and you have good use of maxis and non maxis buildings.

one question though... where did you get those green buildings on your third picture update 2.

Wow, impressive. I like the suburban areas. I also like how you parallel the highway with frontage roads... is that done the whole way? Looking forward to more.

    First:Replies:

    Dino007:thanks to you

dfnva:Thank you. Only the CAAE(central Arlington arterial expressway) has frontage roads, and yes

for the whole length. other expressways will not have service roads.

SimHoTToDDy: STAY AWAY FROM MY SLEEVE!!!2.gif its a secret!38.gif

Hawkeye9:I try to be as wild as possible with the layouts.

    Without Further Ado:

    POLL TIME:

would you like next to see:

Linthicum Hts.,CAAE,The Mall,The Airport or Downtown

    ALSO:

    update1transitcf6.jpg

should i expand the Interstate in the south?????????42.gifsee the sattelite map for proposal

for this update , i will focus on the Seneca League Reservation in the east.

    Overview:

    senecareservation1yh5.jpg

    The Reservation Center:

    senecareservation2fx4.jpg

The Government Building on the square is the meeting hall for the Seneca League.

    senecareservation3my4.jpg

The farmers market. Residents come here from the city to buy the freshest groceries in the county. The fertile land next to the North tip of Seneca lake is the best farming land out of any other Reservation in the State.

One more thing: I am looking for suggestions for a new name for the CAAE, something preferably that can be abbreviated to 3 letters. just metion a name in your post.

    Skipping replies for now.

    SENECA COUNTY

    UPDATE 2

    First; some housekeeping.

It seems that all of all y'all want to see downtown.

Update three will be all about downtown.

    Now to the Update.

The new mass transit system is up and running.

    greenredlineterminuscz1.jpg

<ARLINGTON-metro and suburban transit> will traverse three major cities: Arlington, Nicholls(yet to be built[to the north of Arlington]) and Linthicum Heights. Future expansion may include a long-haul busline to NYC, Williamsport, Erie and Harrisburg PA and Cleveland(yay!34.gif)

so , the above picture is of the northern border of the City of Arlington with the north terminus of line C(red) Line B(green)continues north to East Northway and eventually to Nicholls. Line C(Left, Bottom) is integrated in traffic on Nicholls Road, and cotinues to a business district.(below)

    redlinenichollsroadfp9.jpg

Below is the C line near the Seneca County mall. here is separates from Nicholls Road.

    redlinenearmallzv3.jpg

Here is an over view of the City North of the River. The line to the right is The Green Line(B) and the A line(blue) terminus. The station near the center on the GLR spur services all blue trains and only local green(Bloc) trains. on the left ,the junction of the red, blue, and greeen lines(ABC)

    northsideoverviewoq6.jpg

This is the main station, the crux of the system, Servicing all three major lines A B C

    mainstationbh8.jpg

The GLR plunges under the river and undergoes a massive subway interchange(below and above), whre the C line stays below to cross downtown and reemerges on the other side(far below4.gif

    yellowredgreenbluetunneig0.jpg

    redyellowterminusyv0.jpg

This is a pic facing south, that is positioned west of downtown, where the C and D(yellow) lines emerge from the subway and terminate. D line follows the same route as C untill the Underground interchange, then it turns south, and follows the blue and green line. D line is a minor line, because it has no independant rail, it always shares a line.

This is the Blue(A) line, yellow(D) line, and the Green(B) Terminus,(top) which services all Green trains ,and all yellow and local blue trains trains(B,D,Aloc)

    xpressandlondlocalbgyqi7.jpg

to the south, is the A-Mast yards and the yellow terminus.

the Blue Line continues south to Linthicum Heights.

The RED line is the most commonly used. Many citizens that live NE of the River use the red line to travel to the Center. The C line has 5 major stations in the downtown.(which i am still keeping a secret!!3.gif)(until next update that is!!)

A-MAST wishes you a safe and fast commute!

Looks like you've got a comprehensive transit system with GLR and subway. The suburbs look great with all the shopping centers and the housing developments.
