Ainvision 2009: Petrova

Hey guys! Sorry for the two weeks that I've been gone. I'm just busy with school and RL. Petrova also got the honor to host the first ever Ainvision, so I was pretty busy with that. Ainvision is like Eurovision where countries submit a song and a singer and people vote for the best. So here's the live show, Enjoy! P.S: More Avenida Vista & Predeccia in next week!

Tonight, 13 countries have set their eyes on the entertainment capital of the world: Chihiro, Petrova. 12 performers will represent their country and sing their hearts out and only one will bring home the prize of 1 million Petrovars and host the next ainvision.

The hosts for tonight's event is Mischa Trogonoff and Bobby Sandoval. Now, let's meet the 13 countries will be competing in the 2009 Ainvision Song Contest! And here now are your hosts!

Mischa & Bobby: Komosti everyone and welcome to the first ever Ainvision. We are live here at the beautiful city of Chihiro.

Mischa: Wow....look at the people here. That's right folks, we have a jam packed stadium of 78,000 along with over 5 million people world wide watching this. Let's go on over to Alicia who is at the Grande Amphitheater where hundreds are watching. Alicia, can you hear us?

Alicia: Hey guys, I am live here at the Grande Amphitheather and I can tell you that it is very crowded in here. Let's get an aerial shot of what were looking at

Alicia: People have gathered here to see the show. The cool thing is, there will actually be an after show concert here with all the performers of the Ainvision, so that's what's people are looking forward to. Ok, let's go back to the Athletistadium, Bobby and Mish...

Bobby: I must say, Mish & Alicia, I am already anxious. This is even more exciting than the Miss SimUniverse Competition held here a couple of months ago. But what I'm hoping for is the Miss AIN pageant...

Mischa: Whoah there Bobby, get your back in here (audience laughs). Anyways, these people that are about to rock your world have been preparing for ages. I really would hate to see these people not win, I wish they all would win. They have arrived in Petrova on Tueday and have been rehearsing non-stop for this event.

Bobby: Ok, so here's what going to happen. You folks back home and everyone here, you will get to see 12 countries/dependencies perform and towards the end of the show, you will vill vote. (Only for AIN members)

Mischa: And now, in random order, here now are the performers. Let's begin with: Ceara Islands. (Cheers & Applause) The representatives for Ceara Island this year is All Time Low and they will be performing Dear Maria, Count Me In.

Downtown Predeccia, Petrova

 

Welcome back to Predeccia where we continue our journey through this huge city. Predeccia, contrary to the most belief that Predeccia is situated on three islands: the main island, Downtown-Beauxmir and the residential island. Predeccia is actually situated where two of Petrova's major rivers intersect. Last time we visited the main industrial "island", now we are going to visit the commercial hub of Petrova: Downtown Predeccia. 

Predeccia is the commercial hub of the country. It is home to numerous international headquarters. This is picture is taken from the western perspective (so the top is east and the bottom is west). The western part of the downtown is more dense and as seen, there is a cruise ship port. Predeccia actually used to be a huge naval hub of Petrova until it moved to Azovo, located in the Sea of Petrova (Sea of Azov). Predeccia's coastlines used to be prisitine and perfectly round, but it was damaged heavily during World War II, so most of the coastline is ver rough. Today, only a couple of seaports and ferry stations remain as a result of Predeccia's slow coastline reconstruction. East of the downtown (top of the mosaic) is the Beauxmir Academy. Beauxmir is known as the Petrovan version of Hollywood and Bollywood.

I'll be honest, most of Downtown Predeccia looks great. The major buildings, not so much. I must critisize you in saying that if you had used other BATs besides the Maxis World landmarks, it would look much better.

Hey guys, sorry about not being active lately. I've been so busy with school (two more weeks left!!!!), but yea. I promise to make it up to you guys with a huge update after I get out at school. The Simlympics is the SimCity version of the Olympics, where countries from all around the Sim World compete in over 140 events. ParticipatingHow do I participate? That's easy. All you have to do is sign up your country or state. Each country gets a minimum of 500 points (Or more depending on if you've competed or hosted a games before), which you can 'allocate' to the sports you want to do best in. We then use an advanced simulation system to calculate the results based on everyone's point allocation. We call this system PAS (Point Allocation System), and you can read about it in more depth here.

BiddingThink you have what it takes to bid? What you need to bid is a logo, a city of fair size, all needed venues(a main stadium, rowing canal, tennis stadium, equestrian stadium, indoor arena, etc.), a good transportation system, and for all of these to be of good quality. As host you will be the center of attention in the SC4 world and it would be great publicity for your CJ. You will need to create an opening ceremony and a closing ceremony and provide pictures of all the venues. For the upcoming July Simlympics, bidding has already started and it will end on June 16th. Quick Reply @ Patricius Maximus: Thank you for commenting, but unfortunately, Petrova will not be hosting. I'm just here to spread the word. Bidding season is still open so any country can host. So far, there are seven countries bidding (But Petrova will be bidding for the October games).
