Well, it is time for an update again, this time in three or four parts (or maybe even more), because together it will be too big for me to upload. Part two will follow in a day or two.
Statistics this morning in the Daily News reported that 31 % of the Urulians have now reached Genesis, but surprizingly more than 40 % don't even bother yet to reserve a place on the LBST or on one of the Space busses.Hm...are they willing to go down with Uru?
Genesis is blooming, work is available on each street corner and economy has never been better. That goes for Axis City also, now having reduced more than 90 % of its debts and back in the race to become the biggest and best City in the region. Axis City now has reduced its high taxes by 30 % and will cut another 10% next year, the mayor announced today, which of course raised the demand for immigration immediatly. Now it is the third biggest City again, where it already once was many years ago. Right after Gloryville and Nexis City, Axis has reached its 202,842 population, with only 12,000 less than Nexis City. Together with Axis Harbour it has almost 270,000. But Gloryville, the capitol, together with Bolton,White Sands and Tenzel Outlet still holds the record of Nr. 1 with 502,956, slightly more than half a million people living there.
On the picture below we see the entire City of Axis, which at this time of year empties its canals for the spring-cleaning. Many more businesses have made their reservation to move to Axis and many more immigrants are waiting for their approval also. This is where Timotheus now works, in the Headquarters of the Sirius Group, which is about to make serious competition with the Nexis Corporation. Timotheus, now more than just a clerk, is the Program Manager of the new Harbour project planned in Axis Harbour and working hard to impress his boss, the CEO himself, Mr Mitch Tatum. Sirius wants to re-open the harbour.

    1Axis%20View.jpg

Also in Axis City, giant appartment blocks have become a common view. Here is one in the eastern part of the city where timotheus is now living. His appartment is paid by the Company, so are many employees in this building, which belongs to the Sirius Group.

    2Axis%20Apparts.jpg

This is the new part of the city, only recently constructed. More of a residential sector of the city, it holds almost 50,000 residents by now. On the right upper part of the picture, one can see the Main train-Station, which is still the biggest one in all of the Genesis region. It was built by the Gaburan Governor, who ones ruled here.

    3Axis%20Day2.jpg

In downtown Axis City, a few days ago, a terrible accident has happened and killed one of our younger celebrities, Miss Noori Lecuyer, from Fallow Canyon. Miss Lecuyer was here to collect some artifacts for the Fallow museum and her way back she was violently hit by another car while she was turning lanes. She will be buried tomorrow in Fallow. May she rest in peace now.

Here is a nightshot of the Axis downtown area...

    5Axis%20Night.jpg

...and the same view in the daytime, where you can see better the Sirius Group Main Office standing tall in the middle of these Hi-risers. Also the newly arrived Waldofellows Company from Uru, which finally moved in this week. The Waldofellows Inc owns most of the Plastic-producing Companies on Uru and now is about to start its production here on Genesis. I know that they have made contact with Tiel Oil, the only oil drilling Company on Genesis for the moment, to make agreements for the crude oil that the Company needs for its mega-plastic productions.

    6Axis%20Day.jpg

After negociations and a lot of planning, Nexis City finally has completed the plans for the new airport in the Nexis Islands , southern parts. When I went there, the project had already started and deforesting and landscaping and leveling was handled very quickly. Farmland was bought to build the highway and tunneling and bridging has started also.

    7Nexis%20South-AirportConst1.jpg

Here are the plans of the Nexis airport, which is supposed to be bigger than the one in White Sands. Airtraveling is becoming quite common these days and Nexis City needs one of these to increase its size. The Highway will come directly from Nexis City, where they have started the connection to Highway 2, which comes from Red Poll and goes to Cedarville and then to the western regions. The Highway will go through farmland and then cross the lake in one big leap with a small support on an island and then back to the Mainland to enter the airport. Other plans for the Highway to continue in the future and to connect itself in Moosebone to Highway 1 are already in progress.
Since Nexis City is already digging under its City to have the first all functional subway system on Genesis, a connection to the airport is also planned. The subway coming from Nexis City will cross the lake and surface on another island only to return underground, cross the other part of the lake, only to end just under the Main Terminal of the future airport.
People say that this again will be one of the bigger projects on Genesis, just as the Grand Dam, the White Sands Airport and the Cold Valley Penitentiary. The only other City that has a subway system is the Capitol, but still only in an experimental stage. Something we will keep a close on.

    8Nexis%20South-AirportConst2.jpg

Here is a closer picture of the bridge support on the island, where construction is busy and some bases of the bridge have been already formed. The steelbeams from Smurfersteel have arrived and are ready to build the structures of the giant bridge, that Lyll Nexis's Company takes care of.

    9Nexis%20South-Pilon.jpg

Now to Coarseville, where Adley Hawklyn's son Caldwell has finally built a shopping mall, which the residents wished for some time now. The town has grown a bit since our last visit two years ago, and now with the shopping center in place, it will even grow futher. The mines have been closed after the famous earthquake that killed many Nexians , but still MacVicar is hiring more than 2000 people here in these steelfactories, which get their raw steel from Unforgiven, where all the mines are. We will visit Unforgiven in one of the next updates.

    10Coarseville-Overall.jpg

Here is a closer look of the town itself and the shopping mall that Caldwell Hawklyn owns. The brownish appartment blocks you see is where most of the mineworkers live. Some other smaller productional and manufacturing companies are coming to town almost every month. It is a nice little town, not far from the beautiful Black Lake and hilly Treeland.

    11Coarseville-CityView.jpg

Three Towers, one of the older towns of Genesis, existing ever since a few years after the beginning of Genesis. As we all know, the municipality is devided into two since its beginning, the north and the south. While the north is closer to White Sands, Gloryville and Atlas, it is growing faster than its southern half, which has closer access only to the smaller municipalities of Fallow Canyon and Brettville.

    12Three%20Towers-Overall.jpg

Here is where Nick Ranly lives now and working in Atlas, which is only a 20 minute drive. Living here is a lot cheaper than in Gloryville, where it cost approximately twice as much. Three Towers, both north and south together has a population of 37,890. Some say that one day a highway will pass through here to connect to the eastern regions.

Ok, for those who didn't download the regionmap and want to know where the counties are in the Genesis Region that we just talked about, here is the url of the whole region: http://img261.echo.cx/img261/7050/nexisofgenesis5vq.jpg
I hope you again enjoyed this update, I'll be back very soon and before the weekend with part two of this update.2.gif
Don't forget to watch out for the introduction of the Lavender CJ, soon to come somewhere in this part of the forums (maybe tomorrow).25.gif

Awesome as usual. Three Towers was always one of my favourite places in Nexis, and it's still appealing. The airport site and everything else is looking good as well.

    RHF

P.S. Lavender is looking amazing in the preliminary stages!

Looks great, as always, mrbisonm. So what's next on the agenda for Genesis, and how many more years till Nexis?

Also, will you continue this until 0N, when Opall ultimately destroys the system or something?

Nice to see some old and also some new faces here, thanks for the comments. I see that there still is a certain demand for this CJ to continue. Btw , we are in the year 21 BN and yes, I will continue this CJ until its final end, which I have reserved for it.

This is part 2 of the big update and I think now that there will be four parts in all. Part three is on the way either on the weekend or by the beginning of next week.

Thirty days after his death, the Kevin Slayer Party was held on his former property in Skinner, just as his last will mentioned it. More than a thousand of his friends attended the party and this time, no one got lost. The party was organized by his son Steven and his wife Christiane and it was our famous little musician Allan Sapporo from Tenzel Outlet that had the contract to organize the party's music. He made himself a good pay this time. Steven Slayer, now officially the new CEO and Owner of the Slayer Inc, has been on his job since a week now and already proven his ability of gouverning the Company of his father by signing a contract with the Sirius Group for 60 million

great update!, i have not been at simtropolis recently becuase my ISP was having problems and i did not have internet, i finaly got the internet back up today, and last night my dog died, and next time a young charachter dies, i recommend saying they got seriously injured, and if the person does not come back within one week then they die, and the former macvicar mines, probably still have valuable ore in them, in the future they could possibly use robots to mine out what remains, and steel to support the mines.
