Wow! I'm glad I'm in space and not being inondated. It was obvious to keep the valves at max. Good update!

The different water elevations are done using the Rain Tool. An unfinished tool that never got officially put into the game. You can download it at Teirusu's Website here  though.

As I am writing this, they are evacuating Round Lake Junction in the total darkness, and Mayor Rico Az is slightly panicking also, another 6 ft and that's it for Axis South. He doesn't want to go swimming on Main Street.
Even now, Tenzel Outlet's Mayor is putting the City on yellow alert, seeing things from Grand Dam and West Axis floating by in the river.

The army has sent every man and woman they could find to sandbag the river banks from Round lake Jct to Tenzel.

Also Very Big News from Joao Otavio, who probably found a solution to Opall (the Meteor). He will give a press interview tomorrow on Uru and will be explaining the whole idea of his,and I will keep you informed.

In Skinner, some men from Sherlock Holmes Security office , will be searching for that *1* Resident that no one has seen yet. Who is he?

    More news tomorrow........
    .....................................................

-J.O. not possible with the LBST, since it is a cold pure light stream and it's nothing to evaporate the water with.
-Evermind, thanks for explaining the watermod and where to get it (appreciate it)1.gif
-Jim, Thanks for offering your help in that disaster to some folks. Yes , this will be hard to swallow for Adley. Miss Kitty will be better off , since it is Government property.(lucky her), but not Adley (poor guy) he just got married too.Imagine......15.gif
    - laxman89, well thank you and nice to have heard from you, please come back.2.gif

This morning I got a picture from Round Lake Junctio, where the water level is slowly rising too. Late last night, the town was evacuated, just in case that it might get cut off from the rest of the region.
As we can see, the water is dangerously close to the street. Although the Round lake is very large and it can take care of a lot of water for awhile, there is a certain danger of inondation, since in Grand Dam , they haven't closed any valves yet, because the dam itself is still in danger also.

On the picture, Round Lake looks almost like an abandonned Ghost-town. No one left to give it some form of life, even the dogs and cats are gone.

    /idealbb/files/RoundLakeJunction-Quiet.jpg

This is a real catastrophy here on Genesis, something that was never expected and never seen.

Man is working with LBST and doesn't even know what it really is! 18.gif (Sorry, J.O. 43.gif I couldn't resist it...)

However, great updates! I hope Genesis will survive from that. Oh well, it's life.
Propably I'm safe... Three Towers is far away from disaster area. And, as I saw from the pictures, my house is quite high from waterlevel. Good. Thanks for viewing TTT, it was nice to see it. 1.gif I just love this place.

BTW, I just realized that you don't know anything about my family in Genesis. Yes, I have a family; did you think I live alone in that big mansion? What? So, I have there living with me: Rachel, my wife and kids Tom (11) & Julie (7). And our dog, Ted. We are happy.

Thanks for the look at Tenzel Outlet!

I had this question pop into my head while reading this thread, if The Rulers rule Genesis, who rules Uru? Subrulers?42.gif Or is it now a lawless pandemonion where everyone is herding towards the LBST? Probably not, but I still want to know the real answer.

I would like to enter the story. I haven't read much yet, but I would like to be some magnate who buys a big corporation, and makes it a subsidiary of his own firm, the Sirius Group. The Sirius Group is what you call a conglomerate; in addition to a vast media empire, it also controls major banks, rock crushing factories (for use in roads) a pie factory , the New Solaris Solar Power Plant , has a major stake in precious metals mining, and dabbles in computer design, sandal manufacturing, bottled water, CD technology, and research into ancient literature. (So, maybe you could put some of our group's buildings around the region.) The Group has worked mainly behind the scenes...until now.

The big corporation that he buys you can decide on, but it should be in the greatest commercial city. And, of course, this magnate needs a hi wealth hi rise condo. And maybe a private helicopter. 2.gif

    Zeddic, your family is noted.
Evermind, the Rulers on Genesis and Uru are completely separated Governments, as much as Canada and the US. Each have their own Rulers.
    Gladiator, thanks.
The Evil Octopus Man, here are the pics from Uru below.
timotheus4, your demand for the futur participation is noted.
We will talk about the inondation, when we finished with Uru.

I was gone for a few days, fishing, relaxing and sleeping (is that relaxing too?) In other words I had a wonderful week. I came to ST almost everyday though, with my portable, but I did'nt have the pics to continue the story. So, here we go and continue.

First let's have a look at Opall and Joao Otavio, who has been working hard on that problem lately.

Opall is a meteor that has been traveling from the Ovort system to Uru in a straight line, as most of us already know. The meteor is large, many times the size of Uru, so when it hits Uru, it will just absorb it , but.........there is other news, that Mr Otavio found out. *That thing is empty and superlightweight* he was referring to the Meteor in line with Uru ,on the press conference in Urulia.*If we handle it right, we might save Uru from total destruction, and therefore maybe save the whole solar system with it*.- Joao Otavio and more than a 100 scientists and physicians on Uru and Genesis are working on a solution to this.

    /idealbb/files/1opall1.JPG
The meteor, which is less than 80 years from Uru, could be pushed into another direction and the only direction without disturbing other systems , would be towards Solaris, the sun, which can very easily absorb this empty monster. All it would do ,is a tiny explosion on the surface hardly to be seen from Uru or Genesis. We will get informed of every advancement on this.On this program, called *Sundown on Opall*, some of our personalities will work, such as Joao Otavio and Evermind. Even Tim will have some doings with the transportations and Slayer, who was asked in by Vallen Nexis  for some discussion on some new propulsion engines .
    /idealbb/files/2opall2.JPG
Someone earlier mentioned that he wanted to see some pictures from Uru, Verto and Mahoon. I will show you some of Uru in the next two posts, smaller pics without too much explanations, since we have enough to concentrate ourselves on Genesis, but enough to get an idea of Uru and its landscape is like. Verto, we will see it much later, when they send the spaceship to this planet. And Mahoon....well I am sorry, no pics. I was told that the pictures of Mahoon is of no public use. In other words, Ciroyon the Ambassador and Mayor in Axis City, has forbidden to show any pictures of Mahoon or anythimng else concerning the Gaburans.

On Uru there's a train bridge, which holds the record for the length over the Gaburan Valley of Tingle, which separates the new and the ancient land.
    /idealbb/files/3UruliaBridge.jpg
A picture of the Grand Central Park in the middle of Urulia, the Gaburan Capitol on Mahoon.
    /idealbb/files/4UruPark.jpg
Urulia, the downtown part, at night.I couldn't show you a region picture of it yet, but in later posts, we will come back to Uru.
    /idealbb/files/5UruNightView.jpg
This is the starstone of the Urulians, believed to be the creator of this solar system for many milleniums, but now it is just a park, in the City of Urulia. This stone was discovered 11000 years ago in the middle of the Hindaran Desert on Uru.- What it is , no one knows, it is 22mx42meter flat rock, made out of a material no one knows. The colour  changes from red to black and white.-Many scientist have worked on it and many explanations have they made, but none with an useful fact. Still, it has many Believers on Uru.
    /idealbb/files/6UruliaStatue.jpg
This is a closer nightview of the downtown area, where most of the official and office buildings are situated.
    /idealbb/files/7UruliaDowntown.jpg
Saphir, the second biggest City on Uru, but the most developped one also.A newer City, less than 100 years old.
    /idealbb/files/8Uru'sSaphir1.jpg

This was Part 1 of the visit to Uru and we will be back with Part 2 soon.1.gif

Ok, to make some things more understandable here. I will take demands for Genesis Immigration as from the beginning, but since a month or so, I will not include them into the story, until I finished with at least one of our personalities. In other words,an existant one *dies*,a new one will enter.2.gif

I have exactly 42 characters to take care of in this story, and believe me, this is quite a job, which takes me hours sometime and a lot of paperwork for remembering all the details for everyone. The Story will continue, no matter what, but personalities will slowly disappear here and there at a certain moment, because of old age (they cannot live forever, ya know) and that will take still some time, maybe a month or more, I have no clue yet.
Only then, when the number of the participiants is down to 35, will I begin to include newcomers.  I have 4 sofar.

Hope you all understand that I am alone doing this CJ.....lol14.gif

So, patience is the mainkey to a successful story.
    Have a nice evening now3.gif

It is now since 2 weeks that I read the Nexis CJ, from page one to the end. It has been not just like any story, but I think Mr Bison has real story telling talent combined with great graphics. My cities are very pale compared to his, that is for sure.

So a big thank you for all this fun that you have given me during past weeks.

I have one question though: where can one download a mod which allows you to draw viaducts, as you had over the Dark Valley of Uru? Or does somebody know if this is included in some other mod maybe?

    thank you again

Thanks subedei and thanks Mickebear, I am glad you enjoy this CJ.

Now, the Watertool called Rainmodd, can be found here:
This is a unfinished tool, meaning that you can use it to fill valleys with water, then build the bridge and save it, but when you come back to this city, the water will be gone and only the bridge stays, just like the picture above. It is the same tool that I use to make the inondations.(kinda hard though sometimes to handle the tool).

This is the second and last part of the Urulian visit, so you better take a good look, because after ,there are no more Uru pictures.

In the Capitol of Uru, Urulia, near the Central Park, is the Daight Nexis Statue, that was erected when Daight left us all at a age over a century. Remember, Daight Nexis, father of Vallen, was the one who invented the LBST (Light Beam Space Traveler) that made it possible to save the futur of the population of Uru, before the meteor Opall will hit.

    /idealbb/files/1UruNexisPark.jpg
The Home of Daight Nexis on Mount Grand View, is today a museum dedicated to the Nexis family. Mount Grand View is near Urulia, overviewing the City in all its size. Starting next year, this house will be all transferred to Genesis, piece by piece, to conserve it so it will be available to see even after Opall. So is the Nexis Statue, mentioned above.
    /idealbb/files/2MountGrandView-DaightNexisHouse.jpg
Right between Saphir(the 2nd biggest City) and Urulia , is the Urulia beach. The beach has a length of almost 1 km (.7 miles)  and used to be occupied every day of the week, but now stays often empty, since the population has dropped and moved out for more than 30 % in the Capitol.
    /idealbb/files/3UruliaBeach.jpg
Still today in the Capitol, traffic jams can be observed mostly in the early morning and at nightfall. Approximately 72 years for Opall to hit Uru,means that it is more than a generation away, so life goes on normally in some corners of Uru. Not everyone wants to leave the planet yet, a lot of Urulians will die here before the meteor swallows it. Even younger folks in their twenties don't seriously think of moving yet and continue their lifes as normally as possible.
The Urulian Government told the population that for the next 50 years or so, nothing much will change on the planet. Only after, some weather changes will be seenwhen Opall will hide the sunlight for half of the day.
    /idealbb/files/4UruliaTraffic.jpg
In the Central part of the Capitol of Uru, is the newer part, that was built only about a 100 years ago. Many HQ have been constructed here, but some have moved since, leaving big Office buildings empty.
Some of them that still own offices here, are Tiel Oil, Razor Blade and soon to be on Genesis,Marton Chemicals, the wealthiest Company still remaining on Uru (the blue bldg on the right)
    /idealbb/files/5UruliaCapitol.jpg
Downtown of the second biggest City on Uru, Saphir, still alive like ever before. Some even say that it is still growing. We have to ask Joao Otavio for this, because he lives there at the moment.I don't really have any contacts there.- The Space Commission Offices aren't far from his appartment, where he and many others are figuring out a possibility to save more or less the solar system, even if Uru cannot be saved of the disaster.
    /idealbb/files/6Uru'sSaphir3.jpg
Also in Saphir is the Ruler's Administration Office, which rules the planet entirely. Not as Evermind would've thought, the Rulers on Uru are completely independant, but co-operating with Genesis. Genesis has their own government from the beginning, once the first governor was elected.
This City, which still has more than 90% of its populatyion of 3.8 millions, is a jewel to see at night.Consisting of 5 townships, it is also the biggest of Cities found on the Urulian Planet.
    /idealbb/files/7Uru'sSaphirNight.jpg

That's it for Uru, I will keep you informed though of importatnt changes in the futur. Next time we will go back to the inondated land of Genesis, the worst ever disaster on the sixth planet.
Hope you all liked the short visit to Uru.1.gif

Erm, is it necessary to get rid of Opall, if it is empty, the possibilites are great for something else, like an giant space habtat, a small-scale of a dyson-sphere....
Still, if it is needed to redirect the meteor towards solaris, a mass driver of relative power could be used to fire a projectile to the asteriod instead of manually planting a bomb inside the body, altough it's arcuaccy is lower than a man(or urulian)-placed bomb...
Yet we might want to unwrap the asterioid just to see if there is something useful inside...21.gif

Ok, I got some news from the inondations:
Rico Az, the Mayor of Axis South and the owner of the TV-Station in Gloryville,
announced this morning the situation of the inondations of some townships.
First, they have closed the valves in Grand Dam , on Owen Shepherd's orders. It
is the waterflow from Ice lake that is back to normal. Down the dam the
waterlevel is back to a max height allowed and they started repairing the
buildings below. The bridge to West Axis is still out.
Then, in West Axis, people are back in their homes, after the waterlevel dropped
12 feet (almost 3 meters). Some roads are still closed and the army is working to
build a bridge to connect Grand Dam with the rest of the world. Our lawyer Mr
night is coming to work to Gloryville by helicopter now.-Right now, everything
has to be delivered by Helicopters to Grand Dam.
Adley Hawklyn is back home too, and counting all the damage. He will be busy
doing the list of things he lost, including the crops that the people in Tenzel
    Outlet saw swimming by.
Miss Kitty Cat is busy too, nothing much happened to her personal belongings, but
the underground facility of the Experimental Farm had some problems , we heard.
In Round Lake Junction, everyone is relieved, so are the people from Tenzel Oulet
and Axis South. The Tenzel River is still high, actually 4 feet higher than
normal, but with the dams closed that should lower it quite a bit soon. Rico in
his speech mentioned that the waterlevel will be back to normal within 5 days.
*Now, let's work and get everything back up again.* were Rico's last words on his
    Tv News this morning.

While we were occupied with the inondations and the visit Uru, two new townships
have been formed. Kate Springs in the south, that we already visited once before
and then Cedar Bay in the Farwest.
We going to have a look at these two municipalities closer on another day. For
the moment we take a look at the middle of the Genesis region, which, besides
Nexis City, is not much developped yet.
As we already know , the middle is mostly a lake, the Nexis Lake, together with
the Tenzel Riversystems. Many inlets of rivers and creeks, and two outlets. The
one in the North is the Tenzel River, which flows through Round Lake Jct,Axis
South and Temzel Outlet, and then in the south is the Nexis River, which runs
through Red Poll,New Sholes and Fallow Canyon.
Nexis City is made of two townships, the main part and and the east. And Nexis
Islands are made out of 3 townships. The one in the north is strictly protected by
Vallen Nexis himself. Most of these lands are owned by the Nexis Corporation.

    /idealbb/files/1GenesisKateSprings.JPG
On this transportation map, we can see the Highway 1 that comes from the north
and heads south to connect to the southern region near the newly founded village
of Kate Springs. Near the Nexis Islands (middle right) is the Highway 3 junction
that runs through the islands and Nexis City, and now reached the new town of
Cedar Bay, which didn't take too long to be established. This highway will
continue right through the big valley of Tenzel towards the western region and
    connect there.
    /idealbb/files/2GenesisTransport.JPG

Now that we have fulfilled most of the demands for showing individual townships,
we will continue with the story the next time.Until then......a>

you know, MrBisonM, i think your cities are spectacular (not one non-BAT building in any of the shots, as far as i can tell)...but one of my favorite shots here was so simple...the Dark Valley train bridge on Uru - that looks like a photograph.
i also like your Starstone - spectacular, as well. this looks almost exactly like the famous 2001 monolith as described in the book.
keep up the great work, you continue to be an inspiration for the rest of us.

Well, The Evil Octopus Man, I have a problem there to find you the bldg, because I have no idea what it is called and where I got it from. I cannot even query it, because the City doesn't exist anymore and it is not in my regular menu, but probably somewhere in the older BATfiles, but which one?.
Does someone know what's it called?
If I have the name,I might find it then.

MrCinatit, I also love this bridge picture, and it is true , it almost looks like a photograph.

This picture I have as my wallpaper and it looks just nice. So, for those who want the real big picture of the same above, it is attached below on this post for You All to download and enjoy (jpeg format).
