ARTICLE: Road numbering system overview MX = Primary route, often span whole or nearly whole region. MXY = Primary route, but not as long distance. MXYY = Seccondary route, often small spurs or innercity routes. AX = Primary non Motorway route, often take same path as motorway or sometimes run in completely different place. Older dual or even single carriageway roads sometimes partially replaced by motorways. AXY = Primary, regional route AXYY = Primary, innercity route AXYYY = Seccondary, local route Theres als BXZZ and BXZZZ routes. The X is the primary route to which they are in an anti-clockwise direction away from. Imagine a cone between 2 routes. Anything there is numbered with the begining digit of the road in a clockwise direction from it. Y is a number appended to the end of a route to identfiy it Z is a number for the route. Thats it explained. Reply with it and it will be considered NEXTtime We will be visiting the un-named city up in the mountain and seeing how it is developing.

This time were going to visit the Oxygen River Valley area, also known as the Old Town. This area of the city was built before the rest* and the building style reflects it. However, as Oxygen City started outlawing poluting industry all of it has been removed from the city. Low taxes then proceeded to bring in new jobs to the area in the form of Hi-Tech. The city is relatively unpoluted, except along the major throughfairs some of which carry up to 5000 cars a day in the morning. But let us begin... The M25 doesnt run through the valley area, since it mainly encircles old town. Instead the way to get to it is via the M1, which is the regions main north-south route. The old A1 runs parelal to this for most of its length and gets absorbed into the M1s route up north because of the expensive cost of digging another trench through the mountains. Off the M1/A1 you get this, the A204. It continues down a trench for a while, as shown in the next pic. The A204 trench section at night. The loops go arround the lights for the road. You may notice that both loops go the same way. This is because the loops lead to one way roads and it is pointless having a road go in a direction traffic can not. Shortly after this area the A204 comes out of the trench and turns into the Central Y. Heres the central Y junction and the route traffic from the right takes along it. This actually acts as the heart of the Dual Carriageway network in the Oxygen River Valley area as most other roads are spurs from its radials, the A204, A209 and A210. Remember the A209? Say hello to it again. This is the junction between it and the A206. The A206 is a main corridoor over the northern city which to the west takes a turn south-westerly and merges into the A204. Most people turn left onto the A209 southbound here and very few use the long gyratory made from old city streets. More A209. This is a junction between it and the A201. The A201 continues eastwards and merges into the A205 (The riverside route) and westwards intersects the M1 and then heads off northward and then takes a turn left and follows the cliff bottoms. This junction handles 5000 people per day, 3000 people turn left and 2000 right. No traffic problems whatsoever! This puts things into prespective. The traffic direction view is the same as last time. Finaly, finishing on a different note: A Roundabout-based T intersection with space for additional city streets (See top) This is just a theory and not tried. The spurs to the bottom of the roundabouts are in the same direction as the one beneath them Hope you liked this update and there should be more soon. Welcome to the Oxygen City Centre. This is M25 Junctions 8A and 8B, depositing traffic onto the roundabout. Unfortionately, the roundabout can no longer be seen because other roads have connected at its edges, but its the 4 straight roads closest to the Motorway. Highways Agency is considering decomissioning the 2 middlemost ramps of this junction in order to reduce weaving. From this junction to Junction 11 were comming in from the right. Note that the city is built up more to the East than the centre! Your on the Oxygen River Bridge. Flowing inland from the hills, the Oxygen River is active with shipping from the high tech industries arround here. The other bridge is the Oxygen City Mainline, which connects up to the Arklay County East-West line when it exits the city. M25 Junction 9, leading to Clone Road. Aptly named, I see! M25 Junction 10, for Owen Shepherd Road. Give the man (The mayor, BTW) a wave when you pass here, his house is just to the bottom! The city wasted a lot on the subway stations, since unlike the railway nobody ever uses them. M25 Junction 11, for Resort road. Named so because of the Resort Hotel just above in this pic. Were comming in from the bottom here. Future site of Junctions 12 and 13. 12 will releave the roads in the area and 13 will allow the M25 to continue. From the right enters the M26 and left is the M25. Currently you have to navigate the surface streets to access the rest of the M25. M25 Junction 14. This is the last junction for Oxygen City Centre and from now on in its the Wild old West! We just entered from the right. M25 Junction 15A and B, leading to another roundabout. M25 Junctions 16A and 16B, for Simplaza Roundabout. M25 Junction 17. The first two updates for Arklay County use png images, so apologies for the slow loads in the first and low resolution in the seccond. However, from Update 3 onwards I will be switching to JPEGs as I can cram in a much higher resolution in a much smaller size. Also, the cities along Update 1 are Pre-RH as my new disk had not arrived in the mail. I scratched my original to a coaster Welcome to the M25, managed by Higways Agency. Were in the Oxygen City Industrial Estate, and theres a clear road ahead of us if not a clear sky - The polution round here is terrible! M25 Junction 1 for Industrial Road. (The road which forms a complete loop.) Were comming in from the top on this one. M25 Junctions 2A and 2B. Use 2A for Smog Road and 2B for Smoke Avenue. This and the next one were comming in from the right (3a) (3b) M25 Junction 3A and B. Junction 3B leads to Rubish Way, named such since it ultimately leads to the landfill and Waste to Energy plants. 3A leads to Rail way. ('Scuse the pun!) 3B is only accessable to us, and 3A is only accessable to Eastbounders. This is the last stop in the Industrial Estate and soon we will be able to have a nice breath of fresh air! M25 Junction 4, Exit here for Skylane, or Eastbound to avoid the Industrial District's polution! Were comming in from the bottom on this one. Welcome to Oxygen City East, where it the air is fresh (Mostly! The Western section of the M25 is slightly poluted) M25 Junctions 5A, B and C, leading to Scraper Way, Office Way and Commerce Avenue respectively. Note that due to a lack of space only we can use 5A. Also note the way the roads all (Eventually) go under tunnels here, providing express routes under the skyscrapers on top. Wre comming from the left from here on in until futher notice. M25 Junctions 5D and 5E - Junctions really come up quick here! 5D is for Terrace Way and 5E is for Apartment Way. Highways Agency is looking at possibly closing some of these junctions because the weaving is terrible and this is certainly one of the most accident prone sections of M25! M25 Junction 6, Exit here for Condo Road. Not much special about this junction, except its the last non Motorway-Motorway junction in Oxygen City East. M25 Junction 7, CLOVERLEAF! Not enough traffic moves here for it to be a danger yet but Highways Agency is monitoring it closely, because traffic to the A250(M) (From the north, bottom of pic) and A250 (Top of pic) is rising.
