Let's talk about our Genesis Region, to really get to know it better, before it
widely expands into the west and east. In this picture (Satelite view) of the
eastern half of this region, I have detailed all the regions and those
townships, who do have a yellow *X* on them, are not named yet, therefore not open to the public.

In the next week or so, we have a closer look at those townships that we haven't seen or haven't talked about alot lately. These are: Atlas, New Sholes, Lichen, Axis Harbour, Megantic, Round Lake Jct, Three Towers, Treeland, White Sands and Fallow Canyon. - We will have a closer look at all of them, one by one, and then go back to the larger Towns and Cities.

Now, let's just talk  a little bit about all the different townships, one by one
, and see if we remember everyone of them. Maybe we also talk about their
individual history a bit. We will start with the Top left and finish with the
bottom right, not counting the X's.

Ice Lake: Big cold lake with pure water, the source of the water that supplies
    Grand Dam.0 pop.

Grand Falls: another outlet of Ice Lake, but we never have talked about it yet.It
has falls of more than 200 meters (approx 550 ft).0 pop.
Lichen: just opened to the public lately with less than 100 pop.(69 I think)
Grand Dam: which supplies 70 % of the Genesis Region with electricity and 20 % of
the Drinking water. That's where Rilian is planning to get all the drinking water
from to supply 100% of the region. Also, our Plumbing expert Owen Sheppard, who
just fell down the dam, lives and works there.(Btw, he's back on the job.) The HQ
of Mr Night and Associates (Stormy Night Law Offices) is here too. If we go back
in time, we will remember the biggest construction site ever made on Genesis.
    2373 pop.

Nexis City: Actually two townships and owned by Vallen Nexis, our billionaire.
Here lives Vallen Nexis-, his son Troy and his wife Noyita ,- his daughter Lyll,-
Freddy Bison,- DrEvel and his first Starbuck Caf

Hey, thanks for the comments.Hope it didn't take 2 hours to read......5.gif

While above we were talking about the history of the Genesis east part of the region, here we will have a quick look at the futur of the western half of Genesis.

Of course , no townships have been founded here yet, and all we have is the pictures from the satelite and some pictures, drawings and maps from wanderers, such as Vallen Nexis, when he was young and exploring this part of the world.

As we already know, the Tenzel River System is the most important draining system of all the lakes in the west, and even in the east for some. Nexis Lake, in the middle of the region, is mostly supplied by the Tenzel River System and then it separates into two outlets, the Nexis River and the Tenzel River, which both empty into the sea in the east, near Tenzel Outlet and Three Towers, where the sun rises.

In the near futur, the Genesis Administration Office in Gloryville has finally decided to go ahead with the completion of highway three, which already is built up to the Nexis Islands. The demand from the western Region was so great that the Genesis region could not withold its delay of the construction. The Western region wants a connection badly to exchange their economy with ours. Plans for this already have been  done a long time ago and all they are waiting for is labourers from Uru. Construction will be done through 8 new townships, starting in Nexis City. One of the bigger projects of Genesis again.

At the same time, this highway will render access to new valleys and mountain ranges and beautiful scenery, which we will all see, once the construction starts piece by piece in the futur. Northward from there, we will travel into the north, where the Mountains rules and have many hidden beautiful and mysterious valleys, once we established the west.
Do not await this to be conquered all at once ,since it will take a lot of time to finish the access to the west only.It will take many years and not many of our personnalities will lives through this event.

So, this was just a preview of this great Region, which still has to be discovered yet.The Genesis adventure has only started yet. Here's a hint: (if Opall doesn't damage too much the solar system) The biggest City in 400 years will be *Cedar Springs*, which will have a pop of 1,8 Million. it will be in the west, but where? Do you have a clue?........Now it's only ruled by cedars, pines and a lot of springs.

    /idealbb/files/GenesisHighway3.JPG

    ...until later this week....2.gif

superchad, you may apply now, but you will not be in the story, before at least one of our personalities (which will eventually happen) has passed away, which may still take a month or so, or even longer. I can handle only a certain number of participants and right now I have more than I can handle.Believe me, it looks easy, but organizing a story that includes everyone with these many details , ain't eating like candy.14.gif

I take inscriptions though already, for the * Next Generation*. I already have two, just pm me with the name, sex, job, township where you want to live and to work and all the other details.

slayerovsims, lol....you're right, it's hard to believe that less than half of the region has only been discovered .
After having taken a look at some more forgotten townships, I will jump ahead somewhat in time, like 5 years or so and many new towns and villages will have appeared in the region.
The Highway 3 that will soon be build (see picture above) will open many doors to many different and interesting townships.

Be back late tonight with an update.......2.gif

If you have problems finding a region map in this CJ (when you need it) to see exactly where a certain township is,when I talk about one, then I recommend to download these two region pictures above and keep them somewhere, where you find it whenever you need to look up a city1.gif, once I mentioned it in the futur. I won't show a region map everytime, but only when some big changes have been made.

As mentioned before, we will have a look at different townships, where we do not go often or where we haven't been for awhile. Let's start with Atlas, south of Gloryville.

Remember this is where the government owns most of the land and also where the army and National Defense Commission is based. Some parts of this base is reserved for the Nexis Space Program and where Evermind and Tim work.
Here is a look at the base at night. On the right we have some residents, mostly researchers, scientists and Officers, who live here permanently.

    /idealbb/files/1Atlas-GenViewNight.jpg
On the top of this picture you can identify a double underground entrance, leading to the Nexis Space Research Lab. A Guardian watches all night, he is one of Sherlock Holmes men from the Holmes Security Office in Bolton, which was able to get its foot into Atlas too.
    /idealbb/files/2Atlas-CloseNight.jpg
Take off of the first satelite for the planet Verto, which should be in its orbit by next month. This satelite will have a closer look at the planet's surface and also at the crashed Space Vessel that they discovered with the Black Eye from the Space Station Nexis I, while waiting that the manned mission will follow a couple of months later, when their vessel is ready.
    /idealbb/files/3AtlasTakeOffSateleite.jpg
Now we changed the Township. This is Treeland, but where did all the trees go? Razor Blade Logging Industries took care of that. The land was cleared for agriculture, which is growing more than ever. Food is now a need more than before for the everising population of Genesis.
Tiel Oil in the middle of this also, when they discovered an important oil field, while digging for a simplyv waterwell.
    /idealbb/files/4Treeland-Gen.View1.jpg
This is the other part of Treeland. Even Dr Evel has rebuilt his Llama farm. The village is very small, we can hardly see it on the left of the TV-Tower, which belongs to Rico Tv in Gloryville.
    /idealbb/files/5Treeland-GenView2.jpg

So, we will have a short round look like this for the next few days of the different municipalities, until we mentioned them all. After we will go back to the Main towns and Cities for a moment, and then we hop time for some years (maybe 5 years or so) and see what's happening in the futur.........1.gif

Let's continue to look at the other townships.

Axis Harbour hasn't grown yet, and it still has finacial problems that Ciroyon imposed a couple of years ago and that the new Mayor is trying to balance out.So, much hasn't changed.
Here's a look at the complexity of the underground piping systems of Axis Harbour, which took some time to construct and people are still talking about this stainless steel underground construction.

    /idealbb/files/1AxisHarborWaterSystem.jpg
Someone lightend up a fire in the garbage near the harbour. No Police and no Firemen available yet, only in extreme needs, Police will come from Tenzel Oulet and Firemen from Axis South.
People often walk home, instead of using their cars, probably because they work so close to their homes.
    /idealbb/files/2AxisHarbor-GoingToWork1.jpg
Fallow Canyon is the place where Oriole was honoured with a statue after his death some tears ago, remeber? They erected a park around the statue. It is also the area, where Oriole was first discovered with his camp and where the first Contact was with the Gaburans and Urulians was held.
    /idealbb/files/3FallowCanyon-GenView.jpg
A Museum was built in this area, and not too long after, some homes and small buissnesses appeared around it and in less than a year, we found ourself with a new village,Fallow Canyon. We will have a closer look at the museum much later.
    /idealbb/files/4FallowCanyon-Night.jpg
Remember Lichen? The small community up in the mountains, where even I wouldn't spend more than a day. This place is mostly for researchers and scientists, but surprizingly some folks live here that work in Grand Dam. How can anyone want to live in a place where the temperature is always 5 to 10 C (42 to 52F) and humid? Hm.....Some have strange tastes.
    /idealbb/files/5LichenGenView.jpg
A closer look at this tiny community lost in the mountains. That will never become a Mega-City I think.
    /idealbb/files/6Lichen.jpg

Back soon with more of the smaller townships.......late tonight.2.gif

Edit: Sorry 15.gifabout the grammar errors on the pics and in the text, that is what happens when one doesn't have much time....besides, please understand, English is only my fourth language , after french, german and swedish. Thanks.

Here we go again with another township.

This time it's Three Towers, the two twintowns that are separated into the north and southpart (on both side of the Nexis River). In the Northpart, as shown just below, Henry Zeddicton was bought out by an Appartment builder and received a good enough price, that he will be able to build a bigger home and this time on the riverside. Henry is from Zeddic Computer Solution in Axis City, also known as *ZeCoSo*. He is on a big contract now with Nexis Electronics and received the exclusivity to sell and service computers in most of the governmental and public institutions around Genesis. Quite a job, but with time it will make him a rich man. Wren Trey, almost his only competition, will now concentrate more to the public to sell and maintain the computerworld. *This way the fire between them will not lighten anything*, Troy Nexis told the Press, who is supplying both with computer materials.

    /idealbb/files/1ThreeTowers-North.jpg
In the South-half of Three Towers, things have changed since a big pharmaceutical Company from Uru has invaded the town. The large building was built just behing Joao Otavio's home, which he doesn't even know yet, since he is back to Uru to finalize his Opall project, after the 5 days of rest he got in Round Lake Jct.
*This Company is a good thing that happened to our town*, the mayor told the reporter, and we hope now that it will draw new immigrants toward us.
    /idealbb/files/2ThreeTowers-South.jpg
Eastward,we have the newly founded White Sands, so named because of the large quantity of white sandy beaches all over the countryside. It has two Islands, Pig's Island, the samller one (top right) and Megantic, the one with the big Mountain ,that spreads into three townships (bottom right).
    /idealbb/files/3WhiteSandsBridge.jpg
In the middle of this Island, there is the high mountain of Megantic, which snowy peaks can be easily seen from Tenzel Outlet and Gloryville, but also which is one heck of a great thing to see, when you're on top of Evermind Mountain. Some call this mountain , Mount Sunrise, because it is in the east of every other town.
It has a lot of Coral reefs and smaller island all around it. There is something here that many scientists and researchers are working on,.....the air. Something in the air that has minor but certain healing abilities for many humanoid deseases. If one stays long enough, like living, it could even lengthen their lifes a bit. Nothing for sure, but like I said, people are researching here.
Barby bought some 100 ha (approx 220 acres) here, before the government put their hands on it. I think she knows something,we don't.
    /idealbb/files/4MountMegantic-Gen.View.jpg
Here is a close up of these little white sandy islands.Don't you wish you could own one of them? Maybe they are for sale in the futur.
    /idealbb/files/5MountMeganticTrees.jpg

Ok, that's it, I will be gone for the weekend, starting tomorrow morning (gone fishing3.gif), but I will be back with more of these smaller townships on Monday. Meanwhile have a nice weekend.2.gif

Thanks again for the comments, as always they are appreciated.
Jim, this museum I downloaded from somewhere. but can't remember where from. I will search for it next week.
The Evil Octupus Man, as I mentioned somewhere earlier, I will not get into the private lifes of our personalities, it will be too much for me to organize and remember. So, let's just presume that you are already married and have two kids that are in Hi-school....sounds good?
Ma8thew, Yes I showed this area, not his picture, before in earlier posts, probably in the beginning of this journal or in another thread.

Before I leave this morning to go fishing for the day, I saw this in the early news and thought that you might like to know about this.

Well,it was a total surprize this morning when everyone woke up and everything was snowed in. Grand Dam never saw this possible at this low altitude. Not prepared  for these situations at this point, snow removers had to be asked from Axis, which usually open the roads to the Ice Lake. It will take them all day. Weather newscast didn't see it coming either, all they announced was a slight possibility of rain last night , and not 45 cm (1.5 Ft) of snow.

    /idealbb/files/GrandDamSnowStorm.jpg
Another strange thing in the headnews this morning was this cartheft in New Sholes. Some people stole a Cement Mixer Truck early this morning, only to empty it somewhere and leave the truck 10 km stranded out of town near the rails. Strange!
Holmes Security is on the job and they promissed the Media to find the guilty. Everybody hired on part-time by Sherlock before, were called in this morning to begin a search of the whole town and surrounding townships for new cement structures.
    /idealbb/files/NewSholesCarTheft.jpg

    See ya all next week.........3.gif2.gif

    Back to the journal.

New Sholes, we haven't talked about lately, is the home of the Tiel Oil Company, the only Oil producing  company on Genesis yet. Because of this , there is a lot of work available in New Sholes, so the town grows with the deamnd for oil. And it has been growing steadily ever since. Here is an overview of the townlimits.

    /idealbb/files/1NewSholes-GenView.jpg
Workers from Tiel Oil come from almost everywhere on Genesis and this is one of the reasons why Bolton has its traffic problems. Hiring now more than a total of 4000 workers, Tiel Oil is bigger than MacVicar Mines, Smurfer Steel and Slayer's Inc. Don't be on the road going through New Sholes during the morning and evening hours, the traffic is awful.
    /idealbb/files/2NewSholes-TielOil.jpg
Lately the Truckers Union had a strike and blocked the southbound of the New Sholes bridge. Normal traffic into New Sholes was impossible for several hours, but things worked out fine and the bridge was cleared.
    /idealbb/files/3NewSholesTruckersStrike.jpg
Now let's jumb to another location, newly founded Birdsview, just south of Grand Dam and west of Round Lake Jct. Being on the edge of the plateau (the same as Grand Dam) this municipality has a breathtaking view of the Tenzel River Valley down to Tenzel Outlet, which can easily be seen from here at night. A light house as built on the bottom of the valley near the river to warn ships of the bridge and the narrow passage towards the Nexis Islands.
    /idealbb/files/4Birdsview-Gen.View.jpg
Towards Grand Dam, an overland bridge had to be built because of the rugged terrain and the constant danger of tumbling stones and rocks. This was an extra expense, not really planned, but necessary to make a connection to Grand Dam. Otherwise the road detouring the valley would've been triple as long.
    /idealbb/files/5Birdsview-Bridge.jpg

    ....be back soon.....1.gif

    Thank you smurfer.
I had some free time,so we continue with the newer townships again.

Nexis City has its Starbucks and Dr Evel wanted one in Nexis East also, so it didn't take him long to open his 4th Starbucks on Genesis.
Nexis east is just an expansion of Nexis City, and it as founded only a short while ago.
This time Dr Evel had it built near a busy intersection and this small Coffee shop is one of the busiest restos around.

    /idealbb/files/1NexisStarbucks.jpg
Last week, again in Nexis East, Nexis Electronics had a big sale of electronics. Since East Nexis does not have much of a downtown yet, most folks hang out here on Mainstreet, where the Nexis Store is. Nightlife is busier in this small community than in the larger Nexis City for the moment.
    /idealbb/files/2NexisElectronics.jpg
Near Rilian's Waterworks, Nexis east played the annual soccer finals against Bolton, but lost this time 2 to 5.
    /idealbb/files/3NexisSoccerGame.jpg
This is Round Lake Junction. which has now its espansion finished. Now a little more known for its beautiful country side and vacation destiny, more and more people are making a demand for residential zones in this still small community. The only thing though is that the population of this village is more than against enlarging Round Lake Jct. * we don't want to spoil this beautiful area as they did in Axis*, they told the press.
    /idealbb/files/4RoundLakeJunction-GenView.jpg
When a taller Office building popped up under construction, all the 500+ citizens signed a poll, that the construction should be stopped, but instead the Gloryville Administration office invited all the citizens to assist in a General meeting in the church next Saturday and have them informed about what is in the futur plans for this little town.
    /idealbb/files/5RoundLakeJunctionDowntown.jpg
This is *downtown* of Round Lake Jct at night.
    /idealbb/files/6RoundLakeJunction-NightLife.jpg
And this is the new residential expansion, behind the church. Another 20 Residential lots will be opened for construction soon.-- The mayor did not like the idea at all.
    /idealbb/files/7RoundLakeJunction-JOFlight.jpg

    ...until the next time...1.gif
