Jacqulina- Thank you for visiting once again.

Art128- Thanks, here are some up close shots!

    ConcordandHelix1.jpg

This is the Concord/ Helix Metropolitan Area.  The city picture is Concord, as Helix will be south of this shot.  The Int'l airport can be seen.  It is one of three in the whole country (Durban, New Mombasa).

    GreatPlatteArch.jpg

This is Concord's most recongnized landmark. The Great Platte Arch lies on the banks of the Missoula River.  It represented the eastward expansion of the country.

    GreatPlatteSpire.jpg

This is the Great Platte Spire, which dominates the night sky.  It lies just North of Downtown Concord.

    FNB1.jpg

This is the tallest building in Downtown Concord.  First National Bank calls it its regional Headquarters.

    DowntownCentral.jpg

Downtown Concord has preserved its past quite well.

    BuschStadiumDay.jpg

Busch Stadium in Downtown Concord.  They are known as the Twin City Cardinals.

    BuschStadiumNight1.jpg

    BuschStadiumNight2.jpg

Many Hotels are in this area, and they are always full during baseball season.  The Omni is where the opposing team stays.

    I-53.png

The city is also notorious for traffic jams.  Most occur on the I-10 crossing the Missoula River.

    TrafficI-5.jpg

    Evening Commute

    I-54.jpg

1st exit on the opposite side of Downtown Concord is always busy.

    I-52.jpg

But the I-10 connecting the suburbs is heavily travelled as well.

Well thanks for visiting Concord, Next time I will show some suburbs of Concord.

    Comments/ Suggestions greatly appreciated!

To this, About 75000 call the Twin Cities home

Although it looks as though it is unimpotant, this is how people commute between Downtown Concord and Helix.  I-29 runs from I-10 in Central Concord, past the airport and continues into Downtown Helix.

    I-102.jpg

Although it looks quiet, I-10 was built this wide for a reason 2.gif

    I-101.jpg

I-10 in a surburban interchange, I-10 runs all the way from New Mombasa to Concord as one of the Countries East-West Thouroghfare.  The other being I-80 (Helix to Durban)

Well I hope you enjoyed this update.  Comments are greatly appreciated.

Nice work with the RHW highways. Particularily appealing is all the trees you use in the median which makes me think of I-95 and I-64 in Southern Virginia.

May I suggest, however, that you post 800x600 pictures. My fear is some of this great work may be deleted by a moderator.

Nice work on those highways, especially I-10 and the I-29 cloverleaf. I'm assuming I-10 is that large for some future growth, some very large growth? Guess I'll have to wait and see...

    Quick replies:

jimbo_jj- Thanks, yes those large undeveloped areas will all be massive subdivisions, however I have laid down the thouroughfares and such, I will most likely feature more suburbs in the next update.

ComputerGuy89010- I simply created a simple 1x1 lot and put a streetlight on it, thanks for visiting again!

I really like your region. The region shot looks really good. I like your transportation networks and your use of the RHW. Your downtowns look great too. But my favourite has got to be your fifth picture in your second post in the second page - the preservation of downtown Concord. I love the old historical buildings.

    Update- Helix

TmiguelT- It is an old mod that is locked on the stex.

selles- Thanks, I take pride in my downtowns, and freeways.  I hope you come make a visit again 2.gif.

    A Brief History.......

Helix was no more than a seaside town before the colonization of the Western Part of the Platte Republic.  As soon as expansion began, it became the financial hub of the region.  Although it was smaller than Concord, Helix grew at a much faster rate due to its more favorable climate.  As the two cities sprawled, they became one, and they formed the first hub of commerce outside of New Mombasa.

    Now on to the Pictures!!!!
