    Update Time:

I am sure you all remember Mr. Beer's wonderful recreation of Omaha, Nebraska.  I am using the same map he is using and am building the city.  I have been to the city and remember it well, I hope to improve upon his recreation of this great city.  Although my Omaha is set 20 years in the future, so modifications have been made.

     OmahaAriel1.jpg

Here is the overview of Omaha currently, nothing more than an airport.

    EppleyOverview1.jpg

This is Epply Airfield after the expansion in 2010, it formerly was 20 gates, but now has 34.  It has 2 runways.

    EppleyTerminals.jpg

An upclose shot of the three terminals

    EppleyTransit.jpg

In 2009 Mayor Fahey announced the construction of a Light rail system (this may happen for real) to connect different parts of Omaha.  This is the northern terminus of the system, it takes you into Downtown Omaha.

    KiwanisPark.jpg

Here is a real picture of Kiwanis Park, located just south of Epply Airfield.

    EppleyAirfield-Nov5521229147755.png

Here is my first attempt at recreating it, added a couple of connections.

    More to Come Soon!!!

    Replies:

Droftrah- Thank you. Please stop in again!

Suplado!- Thanks, I appreciate your comment

Fabsies55- Thanks, could you tell me what part you are referring to so that I may fix it.

    Replies-

Suplado- Thanks for visiting yet again!

    Atlanta_Skyline_from_Buckhead.jpg

The Recently formed New Mombasa Department of Transportation recently won control of all Metro Road Construction. As opposed to having local municipalities controlling construction in their cities.

    Their first Ambitious project

    Papillion Parkway Widening/Realignment

    TownofPappilion.jpg

Overview of the town of Papillion which is about two miles away from New Mombasa

    Oldinterchange.jpg

This entire area will be rebuilt and a new interchange for I-10 due to increasing congestion

    Realligning.jpg

Construction in progress, Temporary alignment is in place, and as you see it is heavily used.

    Thefinishedinterchange.jpg

The completed interchange which features a stop light.  Developers are planning a new power center, which would be the second in New Mombasa.  The other location is in North New Mombasa.

    Another Shot

    NewSuburbanIntersection.jpg

But the D.O.T. didnt stop there, They reconstructed an old section of PR-117 which was two lanes into a high capacity avenue.  The construction came due to booming suburban communities like these.

    NewSuburbanArea.jpg

    Another Suburban Area

    NewHospital.jpg

University of New Mombasa Medical Center West was completed in the same area as well

    Have a great day!

    As always comments/suggestions apreciated
