Very good work Hawkeye, I like that diagonal Marrast train station, been a long time since I saw one in a CJ.

Good idea to use that fountain nrear the college!

Those residential sectors are looking good and are true to life.

All in all a very good update! 44.gif

I love it. My only advice: Just don't make the skyline too huge. Keep up the good work. Can't wait until next update!

It is very sprawled, but I'm not sure if that's what you're going for. If it is then good job, but I think skyline that are small and dense look better than those that are huge and sprawled.

Man! I don't know where to start! I'm lovin this cj. You've got so much diagonal which is cool. The neighborhoods are put together well. The sunken rail looks fantastic (although you might benefit from the jagged edges mod... but then again you may prefer to go without it...), and your built up area is very realistic. Awesome update. Thanks for posting so many pics!

Very beautiful though to make it more realistic instead of the right side of the city just delibrately stoping it would look more real with suburbs or residentials off to the side or above it.

Observe in this picture the empty spaces above and right of downtown.

That's amazing! a city born and grown up before our very eyes!!! lol jk. But it is really sweet.

Questions:
How did you get that cool train station back on page 1,
How did you manage to get such nice towering buildings before major residential development,
How long did this project take you???

Hey everyone I know that it has been a while since I last updated (actually i havnt updated since the site update, yeah its been a while). So first I off i would like to apologize for that, I have been really busy so please forgive me 1.gif

I guess the main reason im posting this message is to officially end Ampton County. I have had my sig. image erased for a while now so some of you may have figured it out. The reason I am ending this CJ is not because I dont necesarily like the city, I am actually very proud of it. Its actually my influences: I live in a coastal town and draw many ideas from the marinas and beaches located all over and I just couldnt recreate this in a river region. So I started on a island region a couple of weeks back (orginally as a side project) and I believe the work I have done so far exceedes anything I have yet to create. Iam going to start this new CJ hopefully in a couple of weeks (probally around mid June) and am really looking forward to it. I hope all of the great support I have recieved in this journal will continue on into my next one. I would like to thankyou all very, very, very, very much for the spectacualr comments you have left throughout the start of this journal. Whithout your support this journal would not of made it as far as it has. I will leave you guys with a quick teaser of my new CJ:

    Haven Cove... Coming soon!!!

    Thanks again to everyone!!!!

Aww man, I really liked this CJ. But I understand, I get bored with my cities after awhile. I bet you 5 bucks that I'll like the next CJ better 2.gif! Au revoir Ampton, to go to the great harddrive recycle bin in the sky. Can't wait for Haven Cove!

It's sad to hear that you are ending Ampton County. I have really enjoyed your work with this region, but I am 100% certain that your next region will top this one. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us with your latest creation. I will be sure to follow your next CJ closely.
