I like that region shot, the central island looks a bit like Manhattan. 4.gif I like those farms in the suburbs as well.

    REPLIES:

Blue sinjid: Yeah, it's finally here! I was a bit nervous if I should do it or not...in the end I decided it was best to just make the damn thing 3.gif

Flyinbird93: Thanks, there will be plenty of close-ups so don't worry 2.gif

qinbenjiaren: There will be plenty of details in this CJ

spore415: Thanks, a part of the region is custom terraformed by me; the west and east side and the one river that doesn't have trees along its side. The mountain to the north was done in-game so I'm kinda proud of it 4.gif The central and southeast part was also done by me (in-game.).

panthersimcity4: Thank you, yeah it does look a bit like Manhattan, doesn't it? But it wasn't intended to look like it 4.gif

aaglo: I think I'm a bit lazy to make forests from the beginning, so as you said I forest as I build!

Schulmanator: Thanks, there is a lot of great stuff planned to be shown so sit tight 18.gif

    Tomasneto: Thanks, I appreciate it.

Tepodon: Ahh, Vancouver is a great city and I would like to visit it sometime! Thanks for you reply!

Thank you all for your nice comments. I am very tyred this morning so I'll spare you with the chit-chat.

Anyway here is the first update (Hopefully many more will come). I decided to show you all a little bit of my suburban area full of little nasty R$$ sims + a teaser of my oldest city (so it doesn't have a lot of custom content.).

    S here's a little part of Giashi Fields (I'm not a good name giver)21.gif:

This is a small town that isn't in the suburban part:

...and a pic from my oldest city:

Looks nice Da Ja Vu, but may I suggest a couple things 4.gif Firstly, I think you should change the high school to a custom building. On the second picture, along the tennis courts, I think you should only have maybe one or two roads leading in to the car park as the multiple interchanges look unrealistic. Also, there's a mod on the STEX called 'yellow thingy remover' to et rid of that yellow border when the game is paused. Lastly, the u-drive it icons should be turned off. Otherwise, I think you are off to a very nice start4.gif

Quite good, realistic! As for the high school, I don't see why you have to change it. They look exactly like that where I live.

Looks really awesome man, great flora especially. You seem to be able to add the life into a city, a quality that can make or break the whole thing. Nicely done, just kill the UDI icons =P

Nice. I like the high school (and the fields that go with it). Just wondering... where did you get the underground mall from?

    REPLIES:

CraigKingOfIreland: Thanks man, I turned off the UDI icons, made less interchanges and got rid of the yellow border. As for the school - I replaced it although I think the default one is alright. I appreciate your help. It's always nice to read helpful comments!

    u of m: Thanks!

    Hawkeye9: Thank you, come again!

SirUnger: Thank you! There will be plenty of more updated so be sure to check back!

Flyinbird93: Thx! The suburban area is all "non-griddy" but the downtown and the inner city are more or less - grid based.

SimHoTToDDy: The UDI icons are dead 9.gif

    jacqulina: Thank you!

panthersimcity4: Thanks! I always try to make something pleasent for the eyes 3.gif

    pagenotfound: Thank you!

    pipishere: Thanks!

The Arrowz: Thanks a lot! The underground mall is here on the STEX. It is called "PEG Subterranean Mall V205" - a beautiful BAT made by pegasus.

Hester: Thanks for popping by! 3.gif3.gif

    Xiashi-13Jul051226850576copycopy.jpg

Xiashi was established as a part of the late-19th century effort to populate the Nagiosaki region and thereby bring in some needed economic stimulus. Over the next 28 to 30 years more and more people moved into the area. Some were drawn by the lumbering business. Others were drawn to the land and bult farms and supported themselves off the land.

While Xiashi welcomes growth, leaders also are determined to control the quality and placement of new devolopments while preserving open space and creating public areas. One of the recent focuses has been on encouraging commercial devolopment in the centre of Xiahi.
