What has a greater traffic capacity?

Roundabouts or Crossroads?

Roundabouts offer a place for traffic to flow while turning and changing roads. Cross roads mostly end up in stop lights which add greater time to commutes thus rendering your sims useless. 3.gif

Roundabouts have greater efficiency because they are circular streets, roads, and avenues, while crossroads make sims waste time and gas.

wouldnt crossroads be better cos ive seen roads with traffic that have roundabouts be replaced with crossroads cos roundabouts can be less fair while crossrads let more ppl go at once

The most efficient system depends on the traffic volume:

Low volume = priority (ie stop signs)

Medium volume = roundabout

High volume = traffic lights

Super-high volumes = grade separation (interchanges)

Installing the NAM is so simple. You don't actually "Install" it. Installing means placing permanent crypted files in your registry. The NAM only "installs" the compressed files into your plugins folder. (Moves them). So there is really no risk to your game or system. If you want to remove it, for whatever reason, just find the Network Addon Mod folder within your My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\ and delete it, or move it to your desktop.

All NAM dependencies are specified in the readme.html for the NAM, so there is no question weather or not it will work.

As for the non-NAM roundabouts, there are currently none. Maybe that is a suggestion you should make at the Main NAM Place. There you will find the help you need and any suggestions you make may or may not be answered or accomplished. 3.gif

Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the info on NAM. I still want to read up on it. I don't even know the useful things you can do with the system. Cheers!
