This has got to be one of the dumbest things I've seen in a long time.  "Let's make a point about court access by seeking a permanent injunction against a widely recognized diety!" 21.gif

No contempt charges?

Or wasting the courts time?

Can we act like we make sense? I mean really. This is rediculous.

I guess people will do and say aything for public attention.

The guy obviously is a loser and thinks he's flip.

Good article though. Will go down as one of the world's dumbest.

Wasting tax payer money to attempt to prove a point (that I might add, he was proven wrong on), is, imo, pure stupidity.  If he wanted to accomplish something lasting out of this (other than getting labeled as an idiot), it would have been better for him to point out the flaws in the system and then use that as the basis for a bill to make some necessary reforms.  Right now, all he's managed to do is waste money and make himself look stupid.

Sueing God for Deaths? Holy books were written by man therefor its mans word that instigates these beliefs in the first place. It cannot be proven or disproven that God had any part to play in the writing of Holy Books. Man is the one who starts, fights and dies in these wars over Religion, God again plays no visible part. If he wants to sue some thing, something maybe a little more physical WITH a fixed address, maybe he should try sueing the entire Human Race for being a bunch of plebs. God however, not going to happen... he has no money for one thing.

You can throw out a lawsuit over a lack of an address?  That would make homeless people immune to lawsuits. . . a dangerous precedent eh?

Gods address is "At Large".  I'm not even a Christian and I know that.

Well, theologically speaking, God is omnipresent. Which I guess means he's homeless. Either way, God doesn't need any lawyers, after all he does control the universe.

Anyways, didn't this happen a long time ago?

Not really. Homeless people have little to no personal assets. So even if you could sue them, you couldn't win anything from them, anyway.

Well, if the stupid idiot won, then the churches would have to pay the fool, and that would spark a riot against the idiot by almost all of the religious people. Plus, that idiot deserves to pay for that lawsuit.

But, the judge threw out the case before it got worse. I thought there was a court that was suppose to check all cases to see if they are worth being put in the criminal or civil court.

EDIT: No wonder why, that idiot is a strict anti religious person (I am also a non religious person, but I don't care if another person is religious or not, and in this case, that idiot was looking for trouble).

Thrown out because of lack of address? The very least they could do was to use the Patriot Act to seize the assets of his representatives.

Why did he pay for the court fee, instead of the tax payers paying for it?

In this case, I agree with the court's decision. I don't think anyone should be immune to lawsuits, but this is a special case.

After all, if God exists, how would God represent himself in court? How could God pay damages? God isn't even an American citizen!

I'm an atheist, but I still think a lawsuit against a God is rediculous. If a man wrote a book (even if God told him to) that caused millions of deaths, then the man that wrote it should be sued.

Even so, I don't think Moses could represent himself, either.
