A brief reminder about the Trixie nomination process:

When the nominations open (and rumor has it that will be later this week) there will be a list of pre-defined awards, many of which will look familiar.  We do not limit the awards to the categories we have defined.  People are encourage to submit their own ideas.

 

One point that seems to confuse some people:   Person A may only submit one nomination for Person B.  

If I nominate abcvs for "Map Guru", I can not turn around and nominate him for "Most Valuable Modder".   I have to chose one category because I can not nominate him for more than one.

Every year, someone will nominate their BFF for something and try to nominate him again for something else and then express surprise that it won't work.

 

There is, however, no limitation on the number of nominations you can submit.  They just have all be for different people.

 

So start thinking now about who you want to nominate for what.

I've already begun my nominations, and its amazing to note that I can draw a blank when thinking who to nominate for the award I clicked.

Helpful hint: do this on paper first. Make a T-table and write down the awards you want to nominate members for on one coulomb and your nominations on the other. It makes the nomination process easier, trust me.

-Just make sure to leave plenty of space for the "I want to make a new award" section.

And then comes the hard part: "why do you think they deserve it?". I usually fill this one in on-site to make sure I'm focusing on the member, instead of focusing on copying what I wrote down on paper. 

Whatever works eh? Have fun nominating!
