TO GO TO NEW WEDGEN CLICK HERE ALL THE STUFF BELOW HAS BEEN DELETED AND THIS CJ HAS BEEN RESTARTED AS NEW WEDGEN ON THE SECOND PAGE
Due to the unfortunete demise of my last CJ (i loved that one, but the city literally just disapeared out of the region), i decided to launch a new one with a different region i had been working on (athos valley, avaiable on the STEX) and to coincide it with my Bid for the STLL Championship, i mean, come on WHAT A BETTER WAY TO START A CJ THEN WITH A BID FOR A SPORTING CHAMPIONSHIP!?!?!?!!? without further ado, i present to you all, Capital Valley, and the bid for the STLL

bidposteryi4.jpg
Proudly Announcing for The STLL Championship Bid, the capital of the Capitalist State of Que Val, Bal Rare, home of the Capital Crushers (aka Stadsvatten Bash)!!!!! There had been talk among sporting and city officials about a possible bid for the championship game since the beginning of the season, but now, Bal Rare would like to make an official bid.

our info;
Hosting City: Bal Rare
Arena Name: Freedom Stadium
Capacity: ~87,000

53205584xd2.jpg
above is the Sports Complex, in a fairly "close" zoom.  transportation wise, it is bisected by two major arteries and is directley below the Capital Beltway, and elevated highway that connects most of the city.

76066474ic4.jpg
An overview of part of the city. The Sports complex is within close proximity to the Central Business district. A network of roads and avenues and rail connect every nick and corner of the city. Bal Rare prides itself in being a city with little congestion, anywhere!

52054535yg0.jpg
the sports complex is directly next to the A line, a rail line that shoots out from the central terminal, and brings passengers either through and aroudn the Industrial quarter, or to the Central Station and downtown. also in the vicinity, are three hotels, which can combined hold a total of about 22,000 people. they were built in their present locations so they have easy access to the sports complex and the A line, among other reasons

65901193bf8.jpg
in addition the three hotels near the sports complex, the capital hotel, the largest hotel and second current largest buidling in the country, is an alternitive to sims looking to stay in the (capital) valley. its current total capacity is over 50,000 persons, with nearly 20,000 rooms. nextdoor are world class resteraunts along with shopphing centers.

41073529cm8.jpg
next to the hotel is the Sports complex's primary train station, the Complex Station. it is of current, the second most used station in the city. along the A line are numerous other train stops, though smaller ans less grand.

11752957zo2.jpg
some of the advantages of the Sporting Complex at Bal Rare, is the more than sufficiant amount of parking lots, along with parking garages. there are plenty of open spaces and parks, and most everything (Hotels, stadiums, parks and shops) are within walkng distance of one another (no more than half of a mile)

48685800ef2.jpg
another advantage is the location in relation to Capital Beltway. The Beltway (eventually) leads into H-2 (highway 2), which in turns leads to other parts of the city and surounding cities such as Paris, Hong Kong, London, Philedelphia, Toronto, Moscow, Cape Town and Beunos Aires (all such nice places, and only a drive away on the H-2). in addition, the Capital Beltway is a 6 lane (total) highway and can easily speed peopel around.

and what would an entry be without a roughly made road map?!?!? sorry, didn't work really hard on this one... lol, but hey, it gets the job done!!!!!

Looking Great!! I know what happened. Go into your Regions Folder and hit Bal Rare. Check if the city tile is in the rightplace in Bal Rare Folder. If you can't find it then the game got bugged.

Nice CJ, clean, uncluttered, and there are not to many skyscrapers donimating the view. Very realistic, medium-sized city.

Update 3: Into Matra, a suburb

Bored with my own laziness,i decided to build Matra, a suburb (yet still part of the city of) Bal Rare. enjoy!

    22943828rd1.jpg
    off we go into Matra!!!!
    46091617dj1.jpg
here we see the Bal Rare City Hall (african american building) next to the Matra Morning Building (Caucasion Building) in Matra's "downtown. Matra Moring is the third most popular circulating newspaper in Bal Rare
    80326006pr4.jpg
here we see Monteford Station, named after late mayor Monterford E. ILLick. alos included in the picture is Abstract Park, featuring grass and pointy things
    83747225pw3.jpg
The Openess, the name given to land with just trees on ut. is a wild parcel of land, designated as a "wildlife refuge" by whoever designates wildlife refuges in 1958. many consider it a waste of space, as only squirells and the occasional chipmunk live in it, but if the government says its important....
    71506240wo0.jpg
and of course, downtown. sparcely populated with small 100 meter or so office towers, the area was originally though (back in 1962) that it would take off as the Cities Center for Commerce and tall buildings (back when there were none in the city). well, those people were wrong, and what we have today, is 7 old office towers that were built to ignite the intrest in the area for devolopment. all the buildings have since found new occupants (save the Bal Rare City Hall), and only one new building has been constructed since that time, Pewsly House.
    45896999mp1.jpg
    Residential Developments and ILLick Park.
    69353047ms2.jpg
Another Skyscraper Shot with the St. Peter's Church in the Veiw, along with a better shot of the Abstract Park.
    76073213vz8.jpg
Another Angle, with the High and Elementary School in Veiw
    57377018wh8.jpg
The Capital Bridge, a part of the Capital Beltway that crosses the Bouh (prounounced Bouh) River. it was built in 1993 (the last part of the highway to be built) and couldn't have come at a better time! sims refused to ride ferries or any kind of boat, something about a giant seamonster... all left wing conspiracies!!!!
    10ho3.jpg
Another Skyscraper Shot, man i love those!!!
    11rc5.jpg
If you think a sims entire life revolves around commuting, working, commuting again, not sleeping, commuting, working etc... your wrong. Sims (at least in Matra) love to kick back and relax (maybe those wern't teh write words to describe this) in an intense game of paintball at the Mike's Paintball Feild, conviniently located off the H2 on Matra Avenue
    12kc7.jpg
The Statue of The Rider, the founder of the country. this statue has a much larger twin in front of the Capitol Building.
    13ng3.jpg
Thats what Matra has to offer, thats it for today, i hoped you tolerated this Update!!!!! 4.gif

OH, and i didn't forget about those who commented, thank you for you for taking the time to comment, it is always an honor for me to have people take the time to comment 4.gif
