Heh heh. If you have a super nintendo, You should play Mike Piazza's Strike Zone. I'm not a big graphics fiend, but even that game had Me cringing, plus the fact that You can hit 500+ft. (I think I've hit a few 700-footers before) home runs IN A DOMED STADIUM is a little unrealistic.

Anyway, that is definitely NOT the worst game ever. The worst game ever is easily SimMovieMaker Deluxe for the Classic MacOS system. That game sucks on toast, seriously. It's boring, it has no real interaction within the MAKING of the movie (as the name implies). Such a terrible game. Boo.

I give that game a 0.00001/10

Shinobi is like Final Fantasy VII compared to that old turd of a game.

I don't know if this is game you're talking about, but I love The Revenge of Shinobi for the Sega Genesis. A great classic game...

Btw... I edited the topic title... no worries now, Dolfan.2.gif

The one for Playstation 2 is no Classic. When it was realeased the hype was that it was the greatest game since mario brothers, its elagant style and flawless gameplay made it a must buy. Well I rented it with my own hard earned 6$ and the games graphics was like the TV screen had been rubbed against sandpaper. Plus the entire game was about falling into hidden traps and fighting lame boses that barely had any coolness to them. After it was released people claimed it wasnt the type of game that we were used to, that it was about killing your enemies with style. What about [rubbish] I say, bunch of PS fanboys were [going crazy about] its cover but underneath the title was a ugly game that made Rosie look a swimsuit model.

Actually the worst game ever was the original release of Battlecruiser 3000 AD (i think thats the correct title).

The story on it is simple. The publisher rushed the game out to meet a christmas deadline even though they knew the game was still an alpha product. Unplayable.. The developer though Spent a lot of time and his own money to finish the game as well as sue the publisher blah blah blah...

The Getaway has its positives, but it is basically unplayable because of the putrid gun and character controls. I might put this in the top ten worst games ever.

I would not put the same rap on Driv3r. The gun controls are a little fidgety and moving the character around can be annoying, but the game is still fun in many ways. I love the driving and crash physics and the storyline is not too horrible.

    Driv3r! Nuff said!26.gif

This game is bug ridden, it's more like beta version than retail version. Draw distance is a joke!

The map in Rise of Nations is incredibly tiny, there are stupid meaningless caps on everything, modern warfare is poorly done like in Empire Earth (like controlling aircraft for example), and you can't even build city walls (which is something I really like and most ancient cities had city walls) which you can in Age of Empires. The game is a cheap knock off of Age of Empires II, Civilization 3, and Europa Universalis II (and probably even Empire Earth.) They simply took some ideas out of these games but failed to capture the grandeur or essence of them (well Empire Earth falls into the same category with me--I don't like that game either.) I must say the idea of the cap is something I don't like in Age of Empires but at least it's only on the population. In Rise of Nations it's on EVERYTHING. These things should be controlled by economics not some arbitrary concept of a cap.

For example, attrition and city assimilation are ideas from Europa Universalis. They are implemented well in Europa Universalis but they are poorly done in Rise of Nations. In Europa Universalis you must first take control over a province and then you can negotiate to annex it. There are benefits to annexing territory in Europa Universalis like increasing trading power but there are also disadvantages as well like poorer relations with other powers. For example, in one game I'm hated throughout the world because I've annexed a lot of territory. In Rise of Nations you just wait a minute or so while the progress bar fills up and that's it--it really serves no greater purpose.

The idea of borders (culture borders) is from Civilization and it means something in Civilization but it just doesn't serve any purpose in Rise of Nations other than attrition. In Civilization 3 resources within your borders is yours to trade with other civs. Compared to Civilization 3, in Rise of Nations diplomacy and trading is non-existent.

Age of Empires I and II was the first of that kind of real time (vs turned based) strategy games I played and they are great games. I still play Age of Empires today and I like that game except for the population cap. Rise of Nations, on the other hand, pretends to be something that it isn't with the ideas of annexation, borders, attrition etc... Rise of Nations (and I would say also Empire Earth) fail to capture the game play and sense of grandness in the game with all this in addition to the TINY map size. I know even the Giant map size in Age of Empires II is tiny but I expected so much more from Rise of Nations because it pretends to be something more. The idea of having a cap on EVERYTHING is something that I expressly hate in Rise in Nations.

I'll give you the cap system, I'm not a fan of that either, however, Rise of Nations is a good game to use at LAN parties because of the quickness of it, while games like Civ III (which I enjoy as well) and Europa Universalis. The design firm which made the game said that it was their intention to use elements from games such as Civilization III et al, but to compress them into an hours worth of gaming. Believe me, if I want to play an in depth game like Universalis or AoE I'll do it, but Rise of Nations is something I like for its quickness and easy game play, and yes I'll agree with you that the aircraft controlling thing is stupid like EE and also that the CAP system is also pretty dumb. The maps vary in sizes, with the biggest one being fairly large, but again, compared to other games not as large, but other than that, I think its a good game, if you're on a time budget.

I like Drive3r and still play the game off and on it has many flaws, but it was the first game you could actually swim in and it came at a time when no GTA was around so it was good for the time...Now its not as good because its old and compared to San Andreuas its not that great. Its still very fun and better crashes. It does have motocycles and plenty of levels.Even some european levels and again Florida/maimi just like Driver 1 and Driver one ruled!44.gif

    I hope driver 4 kicks Driv3r's butt!44.gif

Damn! That game is rated so low, it makes Me want to actually go out and buy it. Intriguing. He had a big head and a face so ugly it became almost fascinating. - Ayn Rand

ET, never played it but was one of the worst ever, it was knocked out in a few weeks in time for the release of the film and atari hoped to make a quick profit, but it was so bad nobody bought it and they had to bury the unsellable cartidges in the desert 3.gif

    Uh, DarthNader-

Do we have a bunch of lazy moderators here or something?

Anyways, I couldn't say what the worst game ever was.

I don't play games that don't interest me, so I usually enjoy them no matter what.

Oh and another crappy game would be any skateboarding game that came out during the flood of Tony Hawk Pro Skater games.I mean most skateboarding games are good as long as you have ok control and fine graphfics.but during the Tony Hawk Ageall other skating games sucked...

back before I got my pc, my brother and I had to share a N64 system..(it was that long ago!) anyway, he had ever one of those horrible skater games. I grew to hate them tremendously because of the pure fact that you wouldn't be able to do that in real life, but that wasn't enough to deter him from playing them, but its not that I didn't give it a shot either 2.gif

I hate all of those games with a burning passion.
History will look back on them and sigh.
