Yeh, Telford has a roumor that when they put their cups down when they were planning thetown the mugs made a mark so they planned the town round that

Actually, I heard the same thing about the Moscow Metro. They showed the map plans and ask Stalin what he thought. He put his coffee cup down, nodded and left the room. When they took away the cup, it left a brown stain which is both now the ring line and the colour on the transit maps.

I would agree. Filling in the empty spaces with some farms, and that would look absolutely superb.
