You think MONTE CRISTO will put in a special mode allowing you to go into first person mode and free walk in your own city?

Perhaps even adding ability to go inside buildings and use the facilities! Imagine going into a skyscraper, going all the way at the top, and looking at your whole city from that view. If done right, it would be beautiful!

being able to drive around almost like in rush hour and stuff on simcity would be even more awesome, and it doesn't take too much to hard code it in anyway, just some simple physics and away you go 9.gif

That would be amazing - but if the game were good in every other area... the game would be like 20 gigabytes! and it would require like 8 gigabytes of ram , and you would need a 64 bit OS to do that - and so you would need a very new computer to do that... it may be possible to do better though.(I really hope I miss estimated.)if yuo add too much to the game... it is no longer fun...in a lot of ways "interesting takes strategy!" but a in building view doesn't take strategy.

it does sound interesting.

They'll more likely have a street view because they did in city life but the in biulding view is a bit too much. Also from watching how they make the buildings, it doesn't look like they'll have an interior

While I'm sure you could "walk" around your city by zooming in really close, with current technology, being able to walk into the buildings and explore them is just ridiculous. It wouldn't really offer anything other than eye candy, and your graphics card would likely fry from all the extra data (I'm exaggerating a bit here). And most importantly, Cities XL is a city simulation game, not Animal Crossing. 34.gif

Cities XL is in 3D, so if you wanted a view of your city from an office tower roof, just zoom in really close (if the camera system would allow that, I'm not sure how it works yet).

We will be giving you different camera views and normally, you should be able to get on the roof of a building and enjoy the view from there without no trouble 2.gif

If you have Citylife (Deluxe or 2008) Edition then nothing new. But if you could drive for real. Then this game would be better simcity4.

I can't wait for Cities XL to go out, and it would be extremely exciting to see some thing like "Simcopter" for you to go around. Even today I play "Simcopter" on my Notebook... heheheh

Anybody remember Sim City 2000? If I remember correctly, there was a seperate program made by Maxis that allowed people to drive through their cities. I think that Cities XL should include something like that. If they could do that with Sim City in 1994, then they could do it with City Life in 2009.

Being able to build cities in the third person view (from high in the air at an angle) is one thing. Being able to take the view down on the streets is an entirely different thing which I KNOW will be a huge hit with City builders everywhere. I think thats what everyone wants, is to go and take a look at your city like you would if you walked down a street in say Seattle, Chicago or L.A.

I really hope CitiesXL will work on my comp, if it does then I'm going to have such a blast....I wish they made a version for the Xbox 360.
