I reckon Chicago takes the cake for North America. Melbourne would have to be my favourite only 'cause I live there! I do happen to love Wellington NZ for its density and vibe.

I like my cities Skyline, it's not too built up and doesn't have a ton of ugly buildings like some of the mega-cities are building.

Hong Kong, definitely.

Atlanta's skyline is improving every year too. And almost every major city in China has a really nice skyline.

For me, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are the best....While Manila, Johor Bahru and Calgary ranks second for me...

I'd have to go with my hometown... Calgary. Calgary and Vancouver are similar in many ways - Vancouver has the oceanfront and Calgary has the riverfront(s). I really love how the city can look so different from all the different angles. Anyways, here's a picture I took from my school campus (SAIT). It's a large file, but not the best quality. I have a pretty old camera, and had to stitch a series of pictures together.

My personal favourite is the City Of London, however the best would probably be HK or NY.

My favorite is Newark, NJ, but I think the best is either HK or NYC.

londons financial district is 1 of my favourites, theres a link somewhere on this website to a host of pictures of london from above at night, they are amazing shots... yes im english, but that has not swayed my opinion in the slightest

i also like the pics shown by waway625 and ive gotta agree with most of you, hong kong is amazing, but by no means pretty looking

i also like the 2nd pic by tankmank

Theres one thing that really bothers me about the HK skyline.. I think it has too many clustered high rise residential buildings. IMO it makes the overall skyline less defined and less attractive.

I love how NYC and even Chicago have tall commercial skyscrapers that tower much higher than all the residential buildings.

Hong Kong's is certainly the biggest, but it doesn't touch the aesthetic appeal of Manhattan. I mean come on, folks.

Hon Kong for me.

New York is to spread out (almost to the point of having two downtowns),Tokyo is way to drab, and Shangi is too big.

Chicago is second on my list, but I like HK better cause of the archetecture.

wow...that first pic of Philly looks great! Shows the different time periods of the city!

now mine: SAN FRANCISCO (some pics show SoMa...or South of Market where huge condo development is currently being brought about!)

a really good pic of SoMa...I guess...since I kinda forgot about it! Clear pic, too

Bovis_RinconSkyline_180P.jpg

that's the bay bridge behind it...

between the second and third tower of the bridge, you can see the clocktower belonging to the UC Berkeley (CAL) campus

the tall building that is the main focus of the pic is the RINCON HILL 1 complex (or maybe north)

right to the Left where the crane is (in the background) is Emeryville...home of PIXAR studios

SF is trying to develop most of SoMa

project is around half done...

downtown is to the left of this pic...the port of Oakland is to the right in back

I'm gonna have to go with isthisit51, Philly definitely has one the nicest skylines, though not the biggest.
