Buddybud,

I love youre lots. Downloaded them all. But I have one question concerning the overhanging props for under bridges. I've got NAM and all the rest you need, and downloaded youre underbridge overhanging lots and installed them, but I can't find it anywhere in the game in any menu. It does not appear in any menu. Could you help me?

With thanks,

Sim_Marky

Are u absolutely sure about the lack of info? Almost everyone know that Buddybud files, when installing, they put this little icons on your desktop, just click them next time you see your desktop 2.gif

This is a pick of my icons on my desktop

And don't think I'm being arrogant, more like ironic, but still helpfull enough 2.gif

Excellant work on your sunken highway walls and bridge skins! These are a great addition to this game. One question, though; what ever happened to those industrial filler lots that go under the elevated rail/highway, etc., that are towards the beginning of this thread? Are you still working on those? Just curious, as those would be a nice addition, also, to fill in some of the "dead space" in a city.

buddybud:

Could you release those excellent walls for sunken highways/etc. in a non-exe format? I am a Mac user who thinks your work looks great but can't install it, as Mac doesn't read Windows installers.

Thanks!

no its not in there yet..but its complete..because of the nature of these lots all are designed using overhanging props with some random ones thrown in which in turn meant a full download was way tooooooo big...therefore i was forced to cut the bat up into seperate lots. this being one that wasnt uploaded yet. also i am working crazy hours at the moment so i have not been able to focus on this stuff....the good news is i have the next two days off...three if you include today...so next to upload are...

    1. corners and diaganals....which are used to make the walls around the above intersection.

    2. the t intersection mask ....as seen above.

    3. the constructor lot.

because of cutting up the lots i also had to rewrite the html help files, which slowed things down a bit....but its all there and just needs to be uploaded...

take care.. and thanks to you and all for the enthusiasm...cheers

I just hope this one isn't delayed another week like that last set. Hope ya get around to it, but don't rush. These perfect creations take time.

Either way, excellent work, BB! I actually tried workin' with what I have to make that same intersection, and it looks great....except the corners are just....out of whack. Can't WAIT for this piece to come out! Don't go too crazy with the full cloverleaf (if that's what's in store).

Also, the idea for a constructor lot was goin' on in my mind, but I knew ya'd realize it soon enough. And with that, our menus won't have to suffer as much! Right on!

Keep up that fantastic work! Spare us nothin', BB!

[Edit] BB, how exactly did ya get the overpasses so straight? All I get is arches or sinks. By sinks, I mean it's deep instead of straight. How DO ya do that, man? Help me out. Thanx.

Actually, yes I did, when I finally realized that the default land digger wasn't good enough. But I still get slight arches. Think 'bout the high bridge for short distances. That kinda arch. Ya know, the one, right?

Nevermind the sinks, I just wanna get 'em straight. Help me out, please. I'll try 'n post a pic next time I play, but it's a little late for tonight. Thanx again.

[Edit] Did ya mean version 2, or the regular? 'cause I got the updated one, version 2. Thanx again.

Which piece do I put down? Road, street, highway? Any particular height or depth I gotta plop it? How much do I drag through it?

Man....looks like I"ll need a whole tutorial on how to do this....sorry to be a bother. Thanx.

i'm glad to hear that your still working on that interchange lot. i think it would be great if you did a cloverleaf also. i can't wait to see what else you do with this.

wyldone.....i said road 3 comments above where you ask "which piece do i put down? road,....."

i also provided a tutorial with the down load so your request is already on your harddrive.

it seems to me you are not reading responses or the readme files. both mine or the one with the hole digging lots.

again provide a picture and i might be able to help you....

Wyldone, Use the 15 meter sunken lot that will get ur NAM puzzle pieces flat with the surrounding terrain. It's the standard for puzle pieces now.

I don't know for certain if buddybud designed these walls for that hieght or the 14 meter sunken road, though I don't think it will matter much.

Maybe a slight blur on some onramps. Perhaps BuddyBud would could explain his choice one way or the other?

    Edit::

Looking back on the pictures BuddyBud has provided it seems that he has used a 14 meter depth for his walls (the sunken Road lot) as such you will not get ur overpasses level if you wish to not have the walls interfear  with the highways on-ramps

buddybud means the 14m Road digger. There is only a slight difference, and that is a graphical bug on the onramps.

Ok. I've figured out how to do it. Thanx to BB's great step-by-step tutorial, this what I got:

    Before:

    ringerstenemay2239011521219748.png

Notice the arches, BB. It just doesn't seem right. This is what I meant. I've included one more pic, showin' just how bad the arch looks. Note the overpass in the corner:

    ringerstenenov1539011521225052.png

As ya can see BB, those arches just were too awful (IMO) to ignore, so I had to do somethin'. And now that I followed your tutorial to the letter, I've got MUCH BETTER results. See for yaself:

    After:

    ringerstenejul3039111521245701.png

As you can see, BB, there were indeed arches, but after 'bout...two hours of bulldozin', ploppin', terraformin', etc, I finally got it. Now all I need are those diaganol pieces as well the intersection (the corner in top left of the first pic is hard to ignore, YUCK!) and any other additions ya might have in mind in the future.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:  you are doin' EXCELLENT WORK, man! 44.gif Keep it up. Spare us nothin', BB! 10.gif

[EDIT} Yeah, 'bout those blurs, they drive me crazy, too. I mean, is it the downloaded texture or somethin'? I don't get it.

P.S.: Thanx for the awesome turorial, BB. As ya can see, it helped out a LOT. Thanx again, for all the work ya do to help make our cities more special and presentable lookin' with your fantastic lots, props, walls, etc. Can't wait to see what's next! Like I said, spare us nothin'!

How do you (masterplan) and other people make the waterfront boardwalks like that?  Can someone point me in the right place?

great stuff man. i still havn't been able to use them in game yet but i'm looking forward to it. i was wondering if you were working on a cloverleaf interchange piece because i think that would truly complete the set and make it perfect.

excellent stuff and i can't wait to see what other great things you do in the future.

    BuddyBud,

could you please explain your reasoning for choosing to develop you're highway walls for use at a 14 meter depth when the NAM puzzle piece height standard is 15 meters?

    regards
