It would also be cool if you made one for GLR 4.gif

Anyway, looks really awesome!

Here's an idea, why not a semi-sunken avenue with offramps?

avenueideaii6.jpg

Like this. I don't care if cars will be visible on the off-ramps, as long as they would work. And if I haven't missunderstood something, that would be possible with a subway connection, right ? 4.gif

i concur with those who concur and those whom they concur with!!

if i owe anybody an apology its with aleking who has been my biggest supporter and has offered much encouragement over the last year or more....as well a as toxicpiano amongst many others it seems.

the present project has many more possibilities than i once imagined.

i got drawn into this because of seeing

    1. ndex's highway tunnel transition

    2. blandy's big dig

    3. some guy who uploaded tunnel transitions using marrasts underpass pieces.

#3 set me offf...because i had a lot i could study, and see how it functioned.

next i had to learn to path and make underground lods and then.how to put it all together.

last the design of the models and props themselves...this is where i got toooo many ideas...

it took a while to get the underground 1x1's up and going....

another couple ideas failed due to technical limitations....ie overhanging props underground will only show while over a lot.  making them virtually pointless on submerged lots.....also the inability to have the automata appear immediatly on exit of the sub. and swampers modding idea....which he is again trying!!! keep your fingers crossed.

as soon as i completed the 1x1 level underpasses i immediatly thought of extending them to form a trough. it took about a week to think of how to join them. and then a couple more days to build and mod it. etc etc. I was also aware at nobs sunken
    glr
...which i have downloaded but yet to try or see how he approached it.

the possibilities are wide open though the whole thing is kinda messy in terms of using so many seperate modding techniques to achieve one visiual idea.

anyways ill finish the 1x1's in the beta as well as the 1x1 pedestrian underpasses and a construction lot most of which is complete......and leave it there for now and revisit it with 1x2, and artery's. and some rail stuff....my god its endless...lol

    toxicpiano.....yes

    aleking..........yes

    djspinhhitz....i agree

metasmurf....i'm pretty sure its possible. infact if your not interested in the visible aspect , only a building and a prop are required on say a 2x4. Since transit enabled lot will alow paths through its edges it would work. Though the automata will not appear to do so. thats why i made the simle director lots to stop this action. But i think a more functional piece would be possible also...dont hold your breath though.

Tinysim.........nob has something simular for now.

    sorchin..........thanx man

yoman3.........thanx and ya rail would be great.

shadow assassin......yes i agree but it wont happen anytime soon me thinks.

kia.......not anytime soon blandy has highways covered.

jacqulina......thanx as always for the encouragment...your ever so kind.
    4.gif

rebalynts......thankyou so much and i must compliment your la river project...keep it up

    everybody else i missed thanx.

thanks for that wonderful reponse dude and really no rush i just love those pics

and thought i would repost them since lots of people pry haven't seen them.

also your skills have gotten exponentially better and i imagine that those overhanging

pieces that i reposted above are pry not nearly as hard to mod or path as your current projects.

I have been hearing repeated rumors and trying to get a confirmation

as to if the new version of the NAM is going to have highway puzzle pieces

like an on-slope ground highway to elevated highway, but so far no word

from anyone on the NAM team (i am starting to wonder if the new NAM is

dead in the water) anyways i have this vision in my head of what would

be possible with highway puzzle pieces and your overhanging pieces.

anyways the stuff you are doing now continues to dominate and i can't tell

you how many times someone has posted "where did you get those bridges?"

in my cj, so keep up whatever you decide to do cause i know it will rock.

oh yeah and that T-intersection piece-friggin sweet i never used that thing

    until your piece came out.

Awesome work, on all your stuff to date.  I can't believe my eyes every time you come up with something new.  Great work and awesome ideas, I can't wait for what is next.  Thanks for everything you have done so far, for that matter, and what is to come.

love what you are doing here!  anyways i am dropping by to ask you a question.

    fencekj5.jpg

hopefully you can see the terrible jutting out fences on the slope.  I know some of your fence sets do not experience this problem, so i was wondering what you did to correct it so i could fix this up for myself.

    hope im no trouble

    thanks 3.gif

go to page 6 and read the second to last post by me.

also download my jeronij concrete wall addon and look at the lots in lot editor.

the key is understanding how a prop sits on a lot.

a prop correctly rendered at 0,0,0 in bat will then balace were ever placed on the lot no matter what the slope. you then design your fence sections accordingly then assemble in lot editor. no real modding skills are required. its more about design application.

Alright! thanks! i knew you had written about this somewhere in here. Well after taking a look at your fences in the lot editor, i see how you did this. quite genius thinking in designing that! i think i'll have to try this out when i get the time.

Once again, thanks and i greatly appreciate everything you have in this thread!

It doesn't have to be enabled for freight... it's just that I kinda desperately need a lot to transition a railway from a bridge into a subway tunnel... in one tile 3.gif

Yoman just got an Idea. OK you know the start of your underpasses that looks like this sortof:

    > /

You know the on the slope one? DO ONE FOR HIGHWAY!!!!!!! It would add so much realism to the game. Often highways glide over these little streets like they dont even know!!

Thats pertty cool. To bad that tunnel isn't UDI compatible. But I will mostly use the the sunken part more! I bet you can make pertty cool highway ramps with that! Good luck with it!

that's a good idea.  I'm happy to spice it up (if interested) with varying degree of real-world highway engineering details (i.e. median divider barriers, VMS signs, overheight detectors, etc).  let me know 2.gif

    *picks up jaw from floor*

    Amazing!

    Simply amazing 43.gif

(Also, you could make a "on-ramp" to these sunken roads, so you don't have to use tunnels. That'd be cool.)

buddybud said that this has a world of potential and man i am always amazed by the

thing that continued to be developed by some of you guys, this game really just gets

better and better as a result.

thanks for the enthusiasm.  ok....another couple shots...with a ramp this time...lol...ok its really a road..anyways

an under ground view. before developement.

    arteryart13ow1.jpg

    and a Crazy view

    arteryart14qb9.jpg

note the the righting on the road!! didnt think it would work.38.gif

blandy....now is a good time since all the above is still in an early stage, besides the initial portals i did. so any thing of the sorts could be accomadated within the models quite easily.

if you want pm me and i can give you some models to mess with if you want.

yoman3 yes a distinct possibilty...the origanal plan was along with the 1x1 portals already made, to then make 2x1 lots for the road, street, one-way, a 2x2 avenue, a 2x3 avenue and 2x3 ground higway, all for below ground  transitions. And an additional 2x1 avenue and 2x1 highway  for level transitions. but thats a crap load of work...lol..well see.

that doesnt even include rail, glr or sunken versions of any of the above......ack

    thanx everyone else 4.gif
