Leech10, I have heard that Peg's waterfalls are quite hard to place. I have never tried them. The watertiles for the creeks and the lakes are easy, I have some of them in Genesis.
timotheus, yes it was a mouse, you know that little furry critters that are in the rodent family and chew holes in wooden walls? You should 've looked faster...now it's gone......34.gif
Me too I wouldn't mind living near the mountain lake, jacqulina.
buckbeach, yes  these mountain lakes were made with teirusu's Raintool.
    Thanks Nardo69.
Shadow_Assasin, I don't think that I will implicate anymore members into the Lavender Storyline, not for the moment anyways, buit it will have a great story, somewhat  much different from Genesis.
I will make another update in a day or two.2.gif

From what I know about Canada - your Lavender certainly made me think of the Rockies - the freshness of the cool mountain lakes.

Thanks for the encouragments and nice comments. I am sure that Lavender will surpass Nexis of Genesis, maybe not in the beginning, but once we really get to know all the people and the region, it will be just .....well you'll find out.48.gif

Now , here is an addition to the region, Thetmond. Again this is a hilly and even a little mountainous landscape with only one small waterhole, a pond, the size of 2 acres or so. Thetmond is on the southern part of Lavender, neighbor of Bluelake.

    1Lavender7.jpg

Here we see the mountain that connects to Bluelake, the neighbor, and also the rocky hills that spread out all over the county.

    2Thetmond-view.jpg

Different from most other Lavender Counties, Thetmond has some hardwood forest in its lower parts of the terrain, which is of course valuable for civilization. Only its neighbor in the east has lots of hardwood also.

    3Thetmond-hardwoodforest.jpg

Just down below the mountain, a little pond made its home, probably a nice spot to have a small village. Who knows?

I will be back next week with another new county of Lavender.2.gif Have a nice week.

Glad that you all enjoy the terra-sculpting of this region.....1.gif

Well, here's another new county of the Lavender region, one of the more scenic ones. Situated north of Lavender and east of Coleraine, here the plateau of grey rocks is divided by a deep creek, forming a steep canyon. The so-called Canyon Creek connects into the Coleraine Bay and then flows into the massif Grand Totem River in the Lavender County, where it will travel to the sea out in the northeast in another region.

    1Lavender8.jpg

This is really one of the most scenic townships of the Lavender region, at least to my liking. The sandy little creek runs serpantlike through the canyon, which is full of wildlife and amazing flora.

    2Birchville-View.jpg

In one of the sandy bays invaded by waterlillies, you can see some carplike fish of reddish colour in early mornings, where the water warms up with the first sunrays of the day. You have to look carefully to actually see them feeding near the lillypads.

    3Birchville-Details.jpg

The beauty of the unspoiled canyon shows us some taller trees growing on the banks of the Canyon creek. Steep cliff on both sides are interesting for both parachuters and Cliffclimbers, not yet known to the rest of the world.

This was another piece of this region puzzle. The next time we will be back in the south, just beside Thetmond. It will be also mountainous with a lot of natural springs and cold mountainponds. See you all next week.2.gif

Terrain looking very good, for constructive purposes however, I think the Lilly pads on the river in-cove are out of scale and that some of the other aquatic new plants would look better.  That is unless they grow giant ones   in Canada. 9.gif

Looking forward to seeing the rural development, but I love the wide open spaces.   Would be very sad to see this beautiful region develop into a sea of concrete.8.gif

    Added.

I just looked and found Lilly pads much closer to the correct size, but the problem is they are in lot form and not individually ploppable on exsisting tiles, which is what makes these so great.  For reference example only, the others are part of PEG's Pond Pack.

buckbeach, I know those lillypads are somewhat too big, but just imagine in this country (which is NOT supposed to be Canada) they exit. The Lavender region will be on earth and in the northern hemisphere, but it will also be a little imaginery.1.gif

    Thanks for the comments.
Here is another township that I just finished terraforming in the Lavender region. I gave it the name of Firlington, because of the many firtrees growing in this county. It has one medium and one small lake, plus some mountainous terrain that is starting to get quite high on the western half.
    1Lavender9.jpg

Firlington is somewhat terrace like, which probably would be nice for some futur suburbs out in the country.

    2Firlington-view.jpg

The little cold lake near the mountains contain some trouts, excellent for fishing but very hard to get to at this moment. We can see the many firtrees that grow here.

    3Firlington-lake1.jpg

Here is the same lake from another angle, where it shows that at this time of season (April), the waterlevel is higher than usual. Some trees are even almost underwater. I suppose this is caused by the melting snow up in the mountains.

    4Firlingtonhiwater.jpg

Here is a spot that I found that probably had a forestfire some time ago, we can still see the stumbs and now see the new growth soon taking over.

    5Firlington-burnt.jpg

The next time I will do two counties again, the neighbor eastward of Firlington and then north to see the Grand Totem River again.Slowly the region is forming into a river-valley. See you then.2.gif

Nice looking mountain lake in Firlington.  I especially like the use of the underwater rocks.  Even with the known problems with mountain lakes you are using your excellent techniques to camouflage the normal distortions.  Good job!

    2.gifThanks a lot  for the comments,so many so quickly.2.gif
Yes,it is quite difficult to deal with  the distortions of the watermod, andyes,it is a lot smaller than Nexis of Genesis, but there is a reason for this (to be announced once the region is finished)

Wow MrBisonm! You've got soem GREAT terraforming there, I've rarely seen someone doing such a detailed job, it's really outstanding. I'm very curious how this cj will work out in the future; surpassing Genesis? 46.gif You must have some great plans then!
