penguin007 - Thank you, yes nightlights are great apart from when you have a few buildings that won't light up.

KingTitan - I do prefer the new style of editing, brings out the colours more. Thank you for commenting!

psander5 - Thanks alot, I love that building but I'm just a fool for big glass boxes 4.gif

ky72x - Bigger is better in this case, glad you like it!

penguin007 - Glad you like the port.

Time for an update, this time we will be filling the gaps between the suburban town of Pewsley and the new port.

Government Island looks great! Especially the parliament building and your favourite building... here it comes... what are they, and where can I get them?!

I also like the way you've connected the excellent Helsinki Train Station. The industrial port looks brilliant too.

i love your cj it's really cool. I like the idea of a government island. I have a few questions about custom content. Where did youget those seawalls???

One more thing... How the hell did you get the islands terraforming so straight

wow your city has grown alot since i last saw it.

you should consider a region shot. and maybe a airport.

your city has grown in size and height althought thats what u'd expect from almost all cities.

your residential areas are cool and your ports are massive!!! you gotta be the biggest importing and/or exporter in the country!!!

    great job in your city

psander5 -  Here are the links to the buildings I showed close ups of and thank you for commenting.

    Parliament Building - https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=19149

SirUnger - Thank you, I'm glad you like it.

rainyday - I think the seawalls are these  -https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=114

I also made a quick basic tutorial on how I use them.

Firstly you terraform out the land you want, using the leveller/flattening tool.

    tut1.jpg

Then mark out the line your coast, with roads, this will be where the seawalls will go.

    tut2.jpg

Using the leveller tool this time make a 1 tile cliff around the road, it doesn't have too be too accurate yet.

    tut3.jpg

Add your seawalls but you may get bits where the cliff comes out of the seawalls.

    tut4.jpg

Just use the levelling tool lightly to get rid of them. Then your done!

    tut5.jpg

fabsies55 - Thank you for commenting, yes a region shot would be nice but lets just say it currently has a few bugs. An airport is also currently under construction so we should see one in the future.

Good job making Government Island. Lots of perfect building choices there, not to mention plenty of parks and open spaces. Also, nice tutorial for the seawalls. That's basically the way I do it, too. 4.gif

Twenty20 - Glad you like it, the seaport is one of my favourite areas too.

suby - I used to experience alot of crashes, but I think I might have fixed that now, hopefully.

SirUnger - Thank you for commenting.

Its been a while since I have updated this, what with holidays and other stuff. Recently I have gone back over a few areas to improve them and here is a preview of one of the many new developments. An office complex just outside the financial district.

art128 - Thank you, I'm glad you like it

dmscopio -  errr planning? 2.gif Thanks for commenting and also thanks for your wonderful BATs. 4.gif

dfnva - Interchanges arn't really my thing, and those roundabouts are meant to be round but its easier to make them squareish.

edmonton_stinks - Thank you, its kind of based on an office complex near where I live. Only this one has more trees and lakes.

boon1234 - I'm glad you like it, thank you for commenting

roboo1 - Thanks, I have been trying to improve the railways recently.

fabsies55 - I'm glad you like the residential areas as they are quite tricky to get realistic.

More development in Cork, this one hasn't started yet but is a very big and exciting plan. The journalism is poor but oh well.

Nice Olympic bid. If I were an IOC deligate i'd be tempted to give you my vote! Is the capacity reduceable stadium inspired by the London Olympic stadium?

psander5 - Thank you! I wouldn't say inspired but I probably got the idea from the London games.

As I said before I have been going over some areas and this update shows some of the change I have made to the CBD.

What a great collection of BATs. Are there any historical reminders of the evil old North Carolina days in the city? Like ruined forts or castles - maybe you could BAT a LM Colonial Administration building. Beautiful work so far.
