What's the race course? This beats the previous record holder for the longest walk in Schulmania, which was the greater part of one tile. Now, I have pedestrians starting in Tile A (SE Tenne), walking 2/3 the length of Tile B (Western Wirdleonia) and then into Tile C (South Wirdleonia). This has got to qualify as a marathon!

Air Raid

Setting 1: Queensferry, a short time ago...

A missile is launched, headed toward central Schulmanicus, in an effort to destroy our capital and end our armed resistance.

The intended target, Wirtyplace, capital of Schulmania and residence of the Supreme Wirdle and Admiral Hestorb, located in the ancient center of Wirt, Schulmanicus.

Setting 2, Devonshire coast, just a few minutes ago...

Schulmania National Air Force reports sighting large incoming craft coming from the east at extreme altitude. No balloons were launched to intercept, as it was too fast and out of range. Destination, unknown. A nationwide alert is now being initiated.

Setting 3, Coastal Schulmanicus, just east of the capital

Amongst the very ancient ruins of fortifications built way back during the time of the Great Tomato Scare, the watch tower has been put back into service.

Here, members of the 103rd Regiment are watching for signs of trouble. And they just now caught a glimpse of trouble heading right toward them.

Adjacent to the ruins sits Fort Wirt, the Supreme Wirdle's weekend getaway home. Here, she can enjoy nature and still be a short commute back to the capital. It is currently vacant, as she is traveling to East Atkinos to dedicate a new military installation.

This peaceful setting of national heritage sites is about to be forever disturbed by the incoming missile from Queensferry. Bent on a quick victory against us, Queensferry has launched a missile toward Wirtyplace, hoping to kill our leaders and break our resolve. Apparently, when programming the missile's trajectory, the Queensferry military input the coordinates for the wrong castle on the island of Schulmanicus. For, instead of hurtling toward the center of the bustling capital, the missile is headed directly toward Fort Wirt.

Fort Wirt has been destroyed and the flaming debris caught the surrounding trees on fire. The ancient ruins have been destroyed. But, the strategic objectives of Queensferry have once again been completely and utterly foiled.

In light of recent events, Agriculture Commissioner Zelgadis Junior, shown below, has authoriized the Simtropolis Bunny Brigade, headquartered on Cottontail Island in the Tenne River Delta, to work paw-in-paw with the Schulmania National Military to repel this threat to all that is good.

Also, carrying over the flag counter. I have a visitor for Guernsey. How cool is that!

Yes, I agree with Dumanios, a counter-strike is most likely the best option. Even though they "missed", though not neccesarily, it's the thought that counts (Ugh... where have we heard that line before...). I say that it should be weaker than if they actually hit the capital, however. But I see another strike on the horizon, so it's time to show Queensland who's boss!

jim 546 I think that was what they had planned. But, they aimed for a castle instead of a small residence. Wirtyplace is hardly bigger than a McMansion. They must have assumed the castle outside of the capital was the right place when reviewing their surveillance photos.

Benedict I know! Those have been around since the dawn of Schulmania!

Archean I am certain that new deployments will be coming up soon in light of this aggression.

Dumanios That is quite OK. We would be happy to set up a Bureau of Feline Affairs office for the cats in your realm. If they eventually take charge, they could apply to be a signatory to the Coronation Accord and be a certified felinocracy.
