jacqulina - Thanks, Always glad you drop by.2.gif

utora - Thanks, I'm very happy you enjoyed the swamp area. I had to use Peg's Trails because of how they over lapped. That isn't possible in the Lot Editor as you said, because those trails are just BAT models over hanging. Thanks, That video was pretty nice.. It gave a charm!10.gif ( if ya ask me ).... Yes San Francisco has a Windmill in Golden Gate Park.. well two but one broke down.. I will be talking about those mills pretty soon. Stay tuned!... unless you already searched? 17.gif

     Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts was built for the 1915 Panama Pacific Exhibition. It was designed by Bernard Maybeck Sentimental San Franciscans saved it from its planned demolition after the exhibition. The Panama Pacific International Exposition was the 1915 worlds fair held in San Francisco, California. Taking over three years to construct, the fair had great economic implications for the city that had been almost destroyed by the great earthquake and fire of 1906. The exposition was a tremendous success, and did much to boost the morale of the entire Bay Area and to help get San Francisco back up on its feet.

The exposition was a celebration of the completion of the Panama Canal, and also commemorated the 400th anniversary of the discovering of the Pacific Ocean by the explorer, Balboa. San Francisco was only one of many cities hoping to host the PPIE. New Orleans was its primary rival, but in 1911 after a long competition of advertising and campaigning, President Taft proclaimed San Francisco to be the official host city.

There was some initial uncertainty about where exactly to hold the fair (Golden Gate Park had been the main contender), but it was later decided to fill in the mud flats at the northern end of the city, and to build in the location currently known as the Marina. The 635-acre fair was located between Van Ness and the Presidio

Wow.  Great bit of history.  I'm going to echo the sentiment that now I know why the Palace of Fine arts was built.  Very cool.

I work for the US Army. I go places, visit mean people, and kill them.

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

That's a nice building indeed... Interesting update. Now I know where the name Balboa in many of the city's places comes from...
