With all the ins-and-outs of ST lately, I did not see this thread until now.

It's really hard to think about the last time I talked him. It must have been months and months ago. I believe the last time I talked to him he was trying to explain to me his struggles with his health. It was surprising because I'd known him forever and I never knew he had so many difficulties.

He was hilarious and could always make you laugh. He was a writer, a leader, a father and a very intelligent man. I'm positive Simtropolis and Sim Cities will never forget him.

Condolences to the family, especially Tom. He is in a better place.

I used to talk to him quite often back when I was more active. I knew he had health issues, but this is truely a shock for me.

He was a wonderful and supportive member of one of the greatest sites on the internet. Words cannot accurately describe what a loss this is to the community. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I saw this thread a couple of days ago whilst making a fleeting visit but due to problems with my internet and the repairs on the site this is my first chance to post.

It's hard to find words to write really...I had such great respect for him and had great times with him in the chat. Always joking around. One of the people I really looked up to. It's more than sad knowing he's not going to come in anymore with his cheery attitude. Makes me regret my absence from here all that much more, knowing that I never got to share more moments with him through ST.

My deepest condolences go out to his family, and I know we will all miss him here and for all the communities he was involved with.

OMG, I hadn't seen this thread until a minute ago... the news was a shock, but when I read the text, I had a lump in my throat.

I'm at loss for words, this is so sad... I wish all of his family the strength to come to terms with this horrible event, and I will always hold him in great respect for the pleasant and gifted person he was. You are not forgotten, Mike!

Wow, I feel horrible for finding out now that this happened. The outage must've screwed up my time/focus. I am truly shocked. I had the priviledge of speaking with him many, many times on MSN. He was truly an amazing person with such a great personality and he was always in a good mood. I remember the time when he became a chat op and me and a few other mods were training him, haha it was great. I really will miss him, rest in peace Mike!

Oh my... This is the first I saw of this thread...I cannot believe Mike is gone. As a founding member of BLaM, I worked quite extensively with Mike back in 2006.

Although I never had the privilege of talking or meeting with Mike, it's easy to see that he was a very nice and respected person.
