Hey everyone! It's been a long time since i last played SC4, i lost my copy of the game and i got a new one for my birthday, but i was too busy with school and since this semester is almost over i decided to play for a while.

This won't be one of those super elaborate CJ's with daily updates and really cool stories and graphics. I'm basically trying to create a region using very simple city planning techniques, i will use several buildings from the STEX, i will try to credit everyone; if i'm not able to remember their names and you do, please say something! jk.

The region i'm using can be found here

The name comes from one of my favorite beers, and because ST is plagued with little kids i won't say more about that!3.gif

Nastro Azzurro supposedly means Blue ribbon in Italian, and since there is a river in this region i thought i'd use that name...oh well, i'm tired and i only have two pictures so far so i guess it's unfair to make you read all of this if you are only getting two pics, but then again no one ever died from reading too much...9.gif

Here is the Satellite view:

And here is the transportation map...very boring, but i like it that way! much easier to zone! the farms have a little bit more individuality as you might be able to tell by looking at the shapes the roads make.

That's all for now! I'll try to update over the weekend, i have to go to bed now, i gotta work in the morning and i'm really tired now. Take care! 35.gif

    GRID!

It does look kind of boring from afar, but I won't condemn your CJ until I've seen some zoomed in pics. What kind of person would I be if I did that?

I love the grid. I'm a slave to it. It makes it SO much easier to lay down mass transit networks and highways. I'll be looking forward to seeing what your city looks like up close and personal9.gif

Nice region view. I do hope that your grid layout will work. I like the port-like island there. I'm wondering what will happen there. I hope to see more from you. take care.

Oh wow! I'm really glad to see that other people find simple grids interesting as well!1.gif

Ok, so here a little update! I have almost finished the grid for one of the main cities east of the river, i'm still thinking about what to do with the coast...i was thinking about leaving them as they are and just plop some beaches here and there and straighten the downtown shoreline and connect it to that harbor/island...

    Traffic view...mesh-ier!

That's all for now, i'll finish the west side tonight and post some more pics, along with close ups of the undeveloped areas, and i'll try to name the cities.

    Thanks for your comments!
