Hey guys! Originally, I planned to present  a CJ project called Perusee, but Ive changed my mind. today, I present to you, the TEPUA ARCHIPELAGO!

Tepua is an island nation located in the South Pacific ocean just north of Tahiti. Tepua relies on tourism and agriculture as its primary industries, and is home to some of the world's most luxurious hotels. Take a flight to Tepua, and you will notice the quaint feel of isolation on the islands, and one thing you won't forget is how small all the islands are.

    Some stats on Tepua

    Population: 124 395

    President: Angeline Mohuva

    Capital city: St. Catherine

Official languages: French and Maohi (Tepuan dialect)

    Tepuan History

In 1643, French explorers came across a group of beautiful tropical islands in the heart of the South Pacific. They set up a fort on the main island of Tepua, and established trade from France to the islands. They eventually got to know the people in the Tepuan tribe, and even learned their language.

In 1651, the king of France declared the islands part of France, and so the influence began. A new city grew out of the village originally called Tamahavi, and French became the official language. The people learned French culture, and some of them even visited France. The trade got even more serious, and the little islands grew from an isolated land to a well-established state.

In 1816, the Tepuan government grew tired of being part of France, and that begun the Tepuan Revolution. Expecting war to break out, the people of Tepua were surprised that the king allowed them to become their own nation. Today, Tepua is a thriving little country that relies on protection from France.

Before Spanish influence, the Tepuans lived in little straw houses by the beach.

Nunapitava Shrine, believed to be home to Temae, the Tepuan god.

Hope you enjoyed it! Full update and modern shots coming soon!

UPDATE TIME! Today we look at one of Tepua's many atolls: Roahui.

An atoll is, simply speaking, and island hollowed out. Usually created by coral build-up surrounding the outer edges of an underwater volcano, atolls are magical little islands that are usually home to exotic fish and marine life in the central lagoon. Roahui, the largest of the atolls in Tepua, has a population of about 600. Let's take a look, shall we?

Today we look at the capital city of St. Catherine of Tepua Island. The city was colonized by the French, and today Tepua's official language is French. The city has a very Mediterranean look to it, and is known as the Mediterranean of the South Pacific.
