Um it isn't... I misread your post, typed that post, and closed the window after rereading before it posted (or so I thought)...  I refreshed the page a few times and didn't see the post show up, so I assumed it was gone.  The time stamp shows about 15 mins after I went to bed last night....  *sigh*quote>

Oh, very well then. What did you think I said?

I don't remember specifically...I think I read it to mean you could win a copyright case that was about anything.  At any rate, thanks for understanding 2.gif

Just noticed this on a rerun and found this topic to make sure I wasn't crazy. It's much more obvious at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMwkUmzdaY0, around 6:14. I don't know the name of the song, but it's sc4m17 on the disk. I'm sure it's not infringement, particularly since it's not the same sample, but it's surreal to absolutely know that song from somewhere and hear it on TV. Gotta love SC4 music.

Hmmm, I noticed too. But the Discovery Channel probally did get permission from Maxis. I mean, why would a big company make such a tiny mistake. By the way. Nice avatar masochist

Not just music, but every reality show featuring some disaster or mishap also has that "little girl" scream that's in Zoo Tycoon (from when the animals get loose) dubbed in (and I think that sound fx may also be in the Sim City series disasters somewhere too). It gets kinda obvious when you hear it used way too many times. (It's almost as bad as the Wilhelm Scream once you reckognize it.)

I belive this topic should be moved to the off-topic area. Just my opinion.
