* AUTHOR'S NOTES *

Ok, so I did the unthinkable and started a new city journal based on SimCity Societies on a site that basically tears this game to shreds with extreme outbursts of negativity. Very smart, Deever, very smart.

I didn't want to damage what I already started with my Plain n' Simple city journal so I'm leaving it on hold for now. That CJ has it's own theme going and I realized that updating it with SCS pictures would definitely screw it up, so I decided to make an entirely new CJ to accommodate the said pics.

Now, this does not mean that I like SCS over SC4. It's the opposite actually (I'm still looking for my CD's by the way). I just wanted to try something new (SC4 is awesome, though the game could get pretty repetitive after playing it for 4 years or more).

The continued existence of this city journal would definitely rely on you guys. If enough people like it, then it stays. If not, then I'll abandon the whole SCS CJ thing and hope to rekindle my interest in SC4 when I find my CD's.

I think that's a good enough intro. By the way, I got the title from that new wave song which happened to be playing when I was thinking of a name.

* RESIDENTIAL *

Here's some shots of the largest residential area in town. As you've seen in other pics, the area is on the opposite side of the river with respect to downtown.

I particularly like this row of white apartments.

A closer look at those brick apartments. Come to think of it, these old style pics feel like "mafia" moments, personally.

Very cool b/w effects, all of the pictures really adjust to the name of your CJ. So the outcome of what you did with scs is really good... (don't listen to my words to intensly, I am not really a friend of the new game, 'cause I don't like the strategy behind it, but it has NOTHING to do w/ your work, because I like it really much! So, please, don't feel offended ).

The pictures look great, Deever. The photoshopped pictures are rather stunning.

With the mist from the fountains (I assume), the shadowed figures and the dark look from the rooftop, this actually reminds me a lot of one of the maps from Thief 2.
