For millennia, the Vortronz Empire expanded and contracted. Countless worlds fell under their control, countless civilizations “peacefully” assimilated into their kind. Many had long, glorious histories, but they are now lost to time. Even the Vortronz nearly suffered the same fate. However, some have survived. This is the story of one, the story of its growth to its downfall, the story of a great corporate empire, the story of a flawed utopia, the story that will withstand the test of time, the story of

Date 7.2351.964: Completion of the Observatory Tower.

Observatory program activated, loading third person narrative plug-in.

Notes: There is still some few code errors, zoom ranges are reduced with sight ranging from a 50 meters to 100 meters. No regional views are available at this time, stand by for code correction.

A strange liquid flows all over this world, bluish-greenish in color, with a low density, evident by the waves that are easily formed by the wind, with a translucent property to it.

natureofregion750photo3wn8.jpg

Water, as it is now called, is what keeps life on Megalis alive and well. Areas with a lack of water are not capable of supporting as much life as areas near it. The primary life on Megalis is large alien structures with green substances at the top of them, entitled trees and leaves respectively, of the “plant”. It is then followed by much more numerous, much smaller plants, which is now called grass. The amount and type of these plants vary with elevation and proximity to water.

natureofregion750photo2hb8.jpg

The extent of life on this world is yet unknown, this can be better understood with a few years of observing.

More life has been discovered. This new life belongs to the “animal” kingdom. The first specimen of animal life is deer. They are antlered, with brown and white markings, and are very fast. There are more, but there is no need to list all of these animals now.

natureofregion750photo1tc1.jpg

So far, there is no reason to capture this world, it is starting to become a good idea that the renegade Vortronz broke away from their masters. The water has no use for the Vortronz, none of the life in the empire need it. The trees have no purpose to be building materials, they are too weak to withstand the

hardships of other worlds, not the vacuum of space. The animals have no need to be hunted, none of the products can supply the nutrients to the Vortronz populace, nor benefit as trophies or become and integral part of Vortronz uniform. But wait, new findings are being sent to and are being analyzed by rogue Vortronz. After more careful observances, the cliffs, mountains, and other land features that expose rocky materials, high amounts of valuable and useful minerals are found.

natureofregion750photo4hd1.jpg

Excitement bursts out of renegades. With supplies of usable materials dwindling on the stationed planet, they can now send mass extractors to Megalis to create new building materials, food, armor, and plenty more other needs. They can now expand their time observing Megalis by thousands to billions of years. Fear then settles amongst them. There now is a reason for the Vortronz to invade. The abundant minerals on Megalis can help re-supply the dwindling mass storages of the Vortronz. More of the materials can help them further expand their empire. If another Vortronz scout ship finds Megalis, another system will fall, and a very slow and painful death will be in store for the rogues. Calm is restored to the rogues, they themselves wouldn’t be able to stop the Vortronz, but life from Megalis could. This notion is thought of deeply, and then was decided that it was the way to go. The plan is simple, evolve life on Megalis, subtly control the evolved life, and when the day comes when the Vortronz come to take over, the renegades would have someone to protect them. A genesis device has been prepared, launch will be midnight tonight. It may take many years; Megalis will be bustling with will-be defenders.

wir3d: There is no liquid. Its more like a shiny black box.
NMUSpidey: I don't even know what a Scientology journal even is.
Simtastico: Thanks, I like all of those terrain modds too.

    Now to business!
    ------------------------------------------

It has been 1 year since the evolution device became operational on Megalis. It is currently successful.

    jenisusbeginningpic1kz5.jpg

A small farming village has taken root here; it is only a mile or so away from the nearest water source. Closer images are being uploaded on the fly.
    jenisusbeginningpic2clodw5.jpg

The village has proclaimed itself to be Jenisus. It is a small community with about six homes in it. The two workplaces, farms, are in walking distance, along with all the other buildings, yet they have automobiles. Why would they do so? For more in depth understanding of these new beings, called Sims, the observers have sent microscopic audio devices over the are.
    jenisusbeginningpic3firsp1.jpg

With the audio analyzers in place, it is discovered that the Sims were testing and playing with new ways of transportation for a new expansion program. New roads will be built in the western, northern, and southern directions.
    jenisusbeginninpic4secohh1.jpg

    jenisusbeginninpic5frieqp6.jpg

The northern route so far is the busiest. It gained a higher level of traffic than the two other roads in a short space of time. A new traffic analyzer has been put in place within the observatory tower. Breakdown of the northern route indicates 100% freight truck traffic.

dabadon5: No worry's I've never been to Washington State either.

    --------------------------------------

With new expansion comes a change of responsibility. The village board has come to a vote of 8-2 of holding an election to determine the first mayor. With the goal of becoming a mighty empire, they needed the “imperial” city to have a strong leader that knows how to handle growth much better. The village board previously was made up of only slightly competent folks, now they would have a strong leader to relieve themselves of the burden of governing this village. A mayoral mansion began construction sometime in early spring of year 2001, completed in the next spring.

    phase2openingofmansionut3.jpg

The citizens rush to see the new mayoral mansion, and they were not disappointed. It had brilliant gardens and strange, alien-esque design. The observers begin to worry; they hadn’t done any mind-control techniques yet, yet the Sims were using similar architecture. The genesis device must’ve been more powerful than what they thought. Back on Megalis, with the mansion completed, they no only needed a mayor. The elections were held in the fall of that year, with three candidates: Jimmy Gimme, Ben Markz, and Ned Heezleburg. Jimmy Gimme of Gimme Real Estate won handily, promising “smart” expansion. He declared that his goal was only to successfully expand Jenisus, nothing else.

    phase2openingdayofschoods2.jpg

The first task at hand was expanding residential, for they had plenty of jobs. With an interest of having more $$ sims than $ sims come in, he opened the first school, simply school number 1., complete with a medium playground and a rather “unsafe” basketball court. The issue was first brought up at the APT meeting of the school, but the principal/mayor said that there is no safety concern with the basketball court.

    phase2openingdayofcliniql2.jpg

The next task was a new clinic. Looking at the budget ledger, he realized that the new school and the new clinic were putting them in a less profitable state. While there was no financial need, he had the school and clinic funding lowered.

    phase2newdocksum6.jpg

Sims began flocking to the city, but these were $ sims and not $$ sims. Befuddled, Jimmy began dipping a little deeper into the city coffers to build new docks (These are Pegasus’s Marina Docks). Still it made the place even more desirable, but the same problem persisted, way too many $ sims. Some good news arrive though, but it’s not enough. Finally some $$ sims come, but not enough to make any difference.

Being extremely frustrated, he took a break. On the vacation he decided that he just needed patience. While enjoying a nice n...I am not able to restore this update-yet...

gabry85: Thanks, Pegasus did a really good job in making those.

RJN: It’s WATER MOD – Brigantine by Pegasus. You can find it in the STEX.

wir3d: It’s gonna be real slow, I have a small city going of about 7k, but you’ll probably see it in a couple of weeks, considering I have a backlog of about 50 or so images, with that number shrinking and growing everyday. Not to mention that due to game mechanics it takes a long time to make considerable cities.

    ----------------------

Another road, South Minor Road, is being laid. From this aerial view, there is only one $$ sim living within the city limits, the rest are $. Many new zones are in place, but lacking are buildings.

    3seriessouthmainroadbeisl2.jpg
Worries are starting to form. The expansions and the facilities used to help the expansions are not bringing in any profit. To make matters worse 10,000 credits have mysteriously disappeared. With the depleted board not liking the ways things are going, temporarily suspended Gimme’s mayor status, while putting themselves in charge.
    3seriesfasterdevelopmenqr1.jpg
    3series1sttinybitofmeleae1.jpg

All new village-sponsored constructions were stopped; the only buildings that could be constructed were RCI buildings. Some of the expansions began building some more homes, but this was not enough. Ms. Melens has built and zoned new farms, without permission of the village board. She was fined 5k in credits.
    3series1artistimpressiomk8.jpg

Profitability has been restored, along with Gimme’s status. But only 1 year of his term remains. His first problem back in office was the fact that all non-RCI building projects were halted and none were thought of. One of the buildings that were to be built soon was a new power plant. Luckily, no immediate power problems were existent, and now was the time to build a new power plant. Another wind power plant was

favored because of the non-existent technology to build large power plants, even if they did have the tech to do so, they would need research other methods of power harnessing.

    3seriestransportrevolutyi3.jpg

North Main Road has reached its capacity. A double road was considered, but that was too expensive and big. A large highway was even worse, plus its investment wouldn’t be satisfactory unless the village became a significant city. Puzzled, they hired Jamil Herd to design a new system that would be rather cost-effective, capacity that would be appreciated, and compact. With those specifications, he came up with the Rural HighWay 2-Lane. The only fault was the inability to have RCI and other buildings have direct access to it.

    3seriesmajorplayerinsugos2.jpg

The agriculture business is doing really well for Jenisus. With the discovery of even more fertile soil on the other side of town has brought another boost to the economy. This fertile soil is perfect for grow of sugar cane. GoobeRum Sugar Cane farms has started, harvesting sugar can for that fine rum and other products that require sugar. Another import has been alleviated. Perhaps this could become a great export. (SimGoober’s GoobeRum Sugar Cane farms are pictured.)

    A year later…

    3serieselectionatchurchvl5.jpg

Zach Riligus has won the election. His origins are unknown, but he immediately became a part of the community as a preacher at the Place of Worship. He won in a landslide, beating incumbent Jimmy Gimme. He promised a stark contrast between the promises of expansion, instead he promised stability. Under the care of The One, the town would instead begin ascension, and proceed to the level of higher beings, and eventually achieve a state called Perfection. He later explained that we should continue to promote education, health, and then introduce safety measures; all was possible with the watch of The One. Only when they have stepped closer to ascension would they expand.

I really love the idea behind this, you know it is always sort of mystery how you suddenly construct entire worlds out of nothing in the game, one that was crying to be explained in a CJ. keep it up, this is fun

Sorry for the long time to update, I’ve been having javascript issues which I just recently solved.

Purpledaddy: That’s how I roll, this CJ isn’t staged, its just what came up with a story to it. I’ve would’ve done a different border with different colors, but the fuzzy green border works quite well.

    HamsterTK: exactly
    Twenty20: thanks
    Suomi2005:thanks
    Jacquilina: thank you

S_olah: so do I. I decided to do a CJ after reading Nexis of Genesis.

    10 years later…

Zach Riligus has been so far the most popular of its first two mayors. Completing two terms, it is rumored he’ll run again. But the rigors of mayor are putting a toll on him, physically and mentally. So, he will not run again, at least, he won’t. He has named his candidate to represent him, Peter Ranier. A expected to win due to his closeness to the mayor; his term will be an extension of Mr. Riligus’s term. He won handily, beating the other candidate. With this new mayor, there will be some few and slight changes. He is a relatively inexperienced mayor, so he set up a board of advisors.

    1.      Neil Fairbanks: He was the actual planning part of Gimme Real Estate.

    2.      Monique Diamond: A nerdy girl who really needed something to do, not to mention she has a thing for money.

    Patricius Maximus: Thanks
    Vituuu: How so?

“If we continue in our selfish ways, we will destroy the environment. This is why I oppose this… industrial evolution. Yes I will admit that the pesticides were dangerous, but toxic fumes of smoke from these new industries will suffocate the world that has given us much and will continue to due so if she survives this corrupt plan.” –Camille Meadows.

    5seriesdirtyindustrydomqz9.jpg

The environmental advisor is saddened to see that her work of destroying her “evil” was crushed. The board of advisors voted in favor of the expansion 6-1. Disgusted by her peers, she left the meeting and took a walk. As she stepped out the door she saw the new, towering buildings in the landscape. Sighing, she continued. For the first few minutes she saw her beloved farms, so tranquil under the impeding threat of evolution. Upon entering the new industrial district, she began coughing uncontrollably under the thick, ashy air. After she regained control, she returned to walking. After an hour of time in the new industrial sector, which has claimed the entire eastern side of Jenisus, she left heartbroken, nearly in tears. “Camille, be strong. It doesn’t have to end this way,” said her conscience. “You’re right, it doesn’t have to end in an choking environment. I will continue pursuing my goal of destroying the evil. I suppose…it’ll take time. As we pursue ascension, will be able to restore this environment, and we can have clean, yet large, industries. It’s my duty to make sure that we don’t TOTALLY destroy the environment. ”

    5seriesproposition63yn7.jpg

At the last city council meeting, Proposition 63 was approved, bringing way for a new water system that will make it easier for sims to get water from the aquifer below. Now, what system exactly will be built? Water towers were ruled out, they couldn’t pump out enough water. The larger water towers still had the problem of only giving water to a certain radius, no matter what the pipe layout will be, the water stays in only the area around the tower. Its been settled to use a water pump, it may be overkill, but it’s the only viable option.

    5seriesproposition64zu3.jpg

After a year of operation, the water being pumped is highly contaminated. Many are sick with that number expected to rise. Proposition 64 is a new water treatment plant that is in the works.

    5seriesfarmsdestoyedforop4.jpg

The expansion rate of the dirty industries in astounding. Sims every day demand more and more of this industrial sector, despite the intense pollution. Joining together, Ms. Davis and Ms. Meadows want to set up limits to the industrial park. Their plan is to have 6 tiles between the industrial park and residential kept clean of development, and plant many trees to help absorb the pollution. Their argument is if this doesn’t happen, the environment will retaliate and die at the same time, plus health of those in Jenisus will deteriorate. In order to shut them up, the other members of the council voted in favor of their plan.
