    A NEW GARBAGE DISPOSAL FACILITY

    A garbage disposal facility may seem menial and downbeat for Patian County, but Patians have garbage, too.

    Meanwhile, the northern diamond interchange on the expressway has been beautified with retaining walls:

    On the diagonal stretch of the highway (which may be modified when v3.0 comes out), wind turbines have been built to meet the city's power needs:

    On the northern fringe of East Lutland, the expressway's northern stretch has been completed, along with a few overpasses:

    And, as promised, the garbage disposal facility:

    Nothing in Patian County is run-of-the-mill, and neither is this landfill. 2 recycling centers help reduce garbage, and the surrounding trees negate any NIMBY effects from the landfill -- the area is even more desirable now than it was before.

    A definite first -- a landfill that people actually want to live next to.

    Hm thats a first,someone wants to live near a garbage disposal area! Is this what the recession has forced people to pick out scraps from it!!XD

    A TEASER OF LAKEFRONT

    First of all, an announcement. The Patrician Showcase is getting an update schedule.

    A full update will occur every Saturday, with teasers probably coming throughout the week. Here is a table for the next four weeks, with example teasers:

    LAKEFRONT REVEALED

    ComputerGuy: For the RHW, download the Rural Highway Mod. 2.0 is the current version, but 3.0 may be coming out soon.

    I apologize for the delay in the update, but even I have relatives. I visited one yesterday, and it was only this afternoon when updating this thing hit me. So, I present, Lakefront.

    First a regional orientation. The big area to the west is Franklin (built before the CJ of the same name), and the little lake with the city next to it is Lakefront:

    You may recognize other landmarks from previous updates.

    Here's the RHW interchange completed, along with development:

    The RHW seen here is planned to extend furthur south and east to create an arterial route.

    To the north is a Parclo interchange with the Franklin east-west highway:

    Northbound along the intersecting route is a unique parclo-diamond hybrid, along with a directional ramp:

    Westward is the center of Lakefront, near the beach of the crescent-shaped lake, which contains many trees:

    WAITING FOR RHW 3.0

    First, an announcement. The day of the week for the regular update is changed to Monday.

    Tarkus has stated "RHW Day is imminent." Whatever this means, the next RHW may be released this week.

    In anticipation of this big release, here is a montage of different highways in Patian County which probably will be the first to recieve upgrades.

    That's all for now. We can only hope that 3.0 will be released by the time of the next update. If so, expect perhaps tens of updates detailing upgrades.

    Great job working with RHW 2.0! I just know you'll be even better with 3.


    To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

    SOUTH LAKEFRONT

    kj3400: Well, I rather like the design as well. What I want to get rid of are the convoluted OWR network, and replace it with a 'cleaner' RHW network. The basic structure of the interchange will remain the same.

    This week there will be two updates detailing South Lakefront. This one will be the first, and will feature the interchanges being constructed.

    First, an orientation. South Lakefront is the unoccupied area south of the small lake:

    Near the center of Lakefront, a modified cloverstack interchange provides access between two major freeways:

    Beautification will be added by the next update.

    Northbound, an extensive network of C/D roads and underpasses prevent weaving, and the freeway winds westwad:

    Then it makes a large curve and turns to the north, where it merges with the freeway shown in "Lakefront Revealed":
