OMG! How do you do this? This is so amazing! Extraordinary use of Photoshop, and what a beautiful map! One question, where is Bonne Isle located? Keep it up!

Oh, erm, ah, well...it's complicated. Sort of. The book was put together in photoshop. First I made the inside of the cover with the dust jacket to look like it wraps around. Then I made a rectangle that is a mask for the page spreads. The layers above that have the highlights and shadows that make the pages look three dimensional with a little grunge thrown in for good measure. Then I take my screen shots and put them behind the page mask and move them around until it looks right, do some touching up or whatever I want to change, add text, and voila! From that point on making a new page spread is a piece o' cake.

The map was made by taking screen shots of the traffic maps in the game, stitching them together, and tracing the streets in Adobe Illustrator. All of the other stuff like textures and stamps and rips and junk are just layers and layers added on top in Photoshop. It's a lengthy process explaining how I did each part, but suffice it to say that it comes from years and years of practice and learning.

Bonne Isle is located somewhere in the Great Lakes Region of the United States, most likely in the State of Michigan (the one that looks like a mitten), though it's never stated anywhere in the actual journal pages.

And thanks nihonkaranws! And thanks everyone else too!

I dont know if you have the NAM, but you can make realistic roundabouts using one-way roads with the NAM!

The one roundabout looking thingy in County Fair District Center is really supposed to be a kind of town square. Roundabouts were unheard of in the Midwest until recently (as far as I know), and people are kinda spooked by them. My mother hates them. She says she gets all discombobulated when she's supposed to merge with all that moving traffic and will go miles out of her way to avoid them.

Wow, major props on the creativity - I have never seen anything like this!  What an awesome and unique way to present your wonderful pictures to us, they look even more stunning and elegant by showing them the way that you have.  That would make a great coffee table book for real!
