I just have to say that your story about the princess was quite amusing. And the region looks very nice in general, too.

Update14 – Etretat, the pearl of Normandy.

Hello everybody, and welcome in Etretat !!

After some weeks of intensive work, a new city is born.

    mayoratworkjj5.jpg

Today, the sun shines, the sky is blue and the sea is green, it's a good day to have a walk in Etretat.

Etretat is a little town of Normandy, between the cliffs. It's a very nice city with its half-timbered houses. This city realised with the game is dedicated to my friend who lives near Etretat.

And now, let’s discover this unique place. First, some aerial views of the coastline realised by me flying with a hang-glider.  9.gif

    etr003zn2.jpg

    etr004oy2.jpg

    etr009kc3.jpg

    etr011tm6.jpg

On the top of the cliffs, there’s a great golf course. Take care, and I hope you've not vertigo !

    etr007gb4.jpg

    etr006vk4.jpg

Golfing is not easy. When the balls falls down from the cliffs, the players must go down with a rope ladder for continuing the game !

    etr017iv2.jpg

    etr005ig3.jpg

Between the cliffs, there are small beaches ; a passage dug by the sea makes possible to pass from one beach to the other. There’s also the famous peak of Etretat, a conical piece of cliff carved by the sea.

    etr010fr0.jpg

    E pericoloso sporgersi !

    etr018mr2.jpg

Along the beach there are many cafés with coloured parasols, where people comes for relaxing, drinking some coffee or eating ice creams.
    I love ice-creams. I love coffee too.

    etr012eq9.jpg

    etr015lm3.jpg

    etr016wb5.jpg

    etr014sa5.jpg

That’s all for the moment. Next time, we’ll visit the city itself and the surroundings.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this update. Thanks for your visit.

Wow Etretat looks great. I think my favorite part is the cliffs overlooking the sea ,very picturesque. I don't think I'll be playing golf at that golf course anytime soon though 4.gif.

Rope ladder, eh? I would take the one stroke penalty.

Great idea with the pictures from the hang glider. How many city tours could be more fun than that?

Oh... That's unbelievable! Except for the golf course, you really did capture the essence of Atsumi's coastline. Okay, you don't know where that is. Fair enough. 3.gif Atsumi is a small town in Japan where I used to live and it really looked a lot like that...

    Amazing work there. 9.gif

That is wonderful. I will have to say the beach is my favorite. Something about the scenery make it look totally alive. Hey I have got to do a section of Hypertrophy under that name "Serena" what do you say? You deserve props for this one. Excellent work.

WOW, I have to say that your beaches are very nice!

Good work on that and also nice choice with the grasses used for the golf course... I always though that color was a bit more realistic in terms.

It’s a long time that I had this project of making Etretat, and finally I realised it. The golf course is really oh the top of the cliffs, and I would like to know how much balls falls down in the sea. Thanks for your support and your comments !

Yes, a rope ladder. These are the rules for playing on my golf course ! Glad you love it, and thanks for your visit and your comments.

My rules of golfing are a little bit curious, or rather strange, aren't they ?
The next time I’ll try to put a picture of my hang glider flying over Etretat. It’s a special way to visit cities, indeed. Thank you for your comments.

Thanks ! oh yes the cliffs gave me a lot of work, and my vertigo was a great problem to make them, especially when I had to go to the edge. Making beaches is less dangerous. Thanks again for your nice comments !

Glad you love my coastline, and of course I don’t know Atsumi (However, I’ve just seen some pictures and it’s beautiful) Thanks for coming and for commenting my update, I hope you’ll appreciate the next in a few days.

Great thanks for your visit and your comment. Glad to see that you appreciate Etretat. About your demand, yes, I’ll be very glad if a section of Hypertrophy is named Serena. It’s a really nice idea.

Thank you ! Beaches are one of various things that I love making with the game. About the colour of golf course grass, I think that it’s rather the same that the real as you can see on the post card below.

Yes, this beautiful golf course and the cliffs is what decided me to make Etretat. Thank you very much ! Glad you like it.

    Keep up your great work!
