Please don't give up this CJ. I only just happened to find it..and others will too. We just need time to seek out your beautiful work.

This IS a lovely CJ, and I also like your sense of humor. I am thinking of the scene you had with the pigeons where there was discussion about becoming a helicopter pilot and the counter argument about his parents having taught him to fly with his wings. I got a big smile there.

Don't give up. Just hang in there. i think you have a pretty decent amount of people even now, my dear and you will have even more. Eat your icecreams and work on this CJ. :-)

Dude, you do great work, your cities all turn out very well. You do have to give some time for people to see it and comment (I go 1-2 weeks between comments, and the most I've ever racked up is like 10-15: in two weeks!) So, it takes some time, but there really is one reason to do a cj, and that is that YOU enjoy it! I enjoy making mine, and if no one commented, I would still make it9.gif. So don't give up, because there is a lot of good stuff you've created.

Thank you very much for your comment and your support. It’s true, I was a little discouraged. I think that I should make more updates, I’ll try to do them regularly now.

Thank you too for your nice post, and as you say, the most important is that I enjoy my work and the cities that I made.

    *****************************************************************

And now, while enthusiastic crowd is waiting for my next update,  9.gif  I show you 2 pics : one of the region (oh yes it’s rather bad, but I make my terraforming in the same time I make the cities. It'll be better soon)

    albaserena10byx0.jpg

For comparison, here is the first pic of my region

    as000el1.jpg

And here is a teaser, just a little lonely church like there are many in my country. And soon, you discover too a little village of Provence.

There’s often lonely goats walking in the country. The horses who are near them are peaceful, but one minute before I made this picture, there were also some bears......  9.gif

    sph001tc7.jpg

Enjoy it, and see you soon !

Haha, regions always look a little weird when you first start them, and then weirder still when you're only halfway done! Mine was like that once, too... At any rate, I'm looking forward to another beautiful update!9.gif

Wow this looks nice. Amethyste looks like a nice resort town. The flora and waterfalls look great there. I also like the more European looking city. The Bats look great as do the extensive green areas and parks.

Thanks, I’m always glad to see you visiting my CJ, and today I show the entire city with the little church that I showed with the teaser.

Thanks for your comment, and yes regions looks often weird at the beginning. It’s the first time that I make a region like this with terraforming, and it’s very pleasant to do.
Before Alba serena I was playing on flat regions :-D

    dfnva
Thanks for your nice comment. And for the european looking city (Paris) I’ll try to work there again in a few days... or in a few weeks.... :-D It's currently “on pause”.

    *************************************************************

    Update 10 : a little “provençal” village.

    sph017byc6.jpg

To make this, I’ve used these little nice houses that I have since a long time in my game, and I think that they’re very made for this kind of village.

    ***********************************************

Here’s another post card sent from a tourist from Lou Cigaloun, a little village of Provence where he’s on holidays :

    Dear Mum and Dad,
Just a little post card to tell you that my stay in Lou Cigaloun is finished.
But I don’t want to return. I stay here because it’s a real paradise. I’ve got a job, the Mayor needs somebody to be in charge of her statue, to clean it and to chase away the pigeons.
I hope to see you soon here.

    **********************************************

Hummmm he’s right, it’s a little sunny paradise. Let's have a fly by helicopter above this village :

    sph004yp3.jpg

    sph005ts3.jpg

    sph006zk3.jpg

    sph003id8.jpg

    sph007fh0.jpg

    sph008fh9.jpg

    sph009rl9.jpg

As you can see, there are many stairs in the village. As I'm a good Mayor, I’ve decided that young people live up of the village, and elderly persons down.

    sph010tf7.jpg

    sph011ne9.jpg

    sph012ha8.jpg

This is a gift from inhabitants of Lou Cigaloun : a statue of me. To thank them I wrote a short speech of 20 pages who was very appreciated by everybody.

    sph013ml0.jpg

    sph014sq0.jpg

    sph015bm9.jpg

    sph016mf2.jpg

And now, we leave this nice place. The next city will be... even more coloured !

I hope you enjoyed it. See you soon !

Ah, it's very pretty! It kinda reminds me of the track in Gran Turismo 4 called (I think) Citta di Aria where you race through the streets of this tiny European town. It's awesome.

And a short speech of 20 pages? I hope those pages were Post It notes!

Oh, this is beautiful work.  Very unique IMO, I love the way you use the colorful little Mediterranean buildings on the hills.  The tower in the second to  last pic is very nice.  Good use of plazas, stairs, etc!  I know building on hills is difficult (at least for me)  but you have done it excellently!   I think I would like to live in this peaceful  village 9.gif

Wow, you weren't kidding when you said a "mixture of styles" at the beginning. 3.gif I like seeing everything together!

But the first thing I noticed at the beginning were your roads with the gentle slopes and rolling hills. Very natural indeed. 4.gif

    UPDATE 11 – Little Venice

    Hi everybody !!!

It’s not my first attempt for making a city with these nice and coloured italian buildings, but I’ve made a new city for my CJ, named Piccola Venezia (Little Venice) with canals, gondolas and gondoliers singing “o sole mio”..... It’s as if you were there !!

Have you enjoyed to navigate along the canals ? did you love the song “o sole mio” ? then you love Italy.

Thanks, and see you soon !

That is a VERY pretty update (and I mean it, too, I'm not prone to using caps)! That is one very beautiful city you're working on there. I'm incredibly jealous of all the people living there (except when they have to listen to 20-page, excruciatingly slowly read speeches).

Piccola Venezia definitely does look like a little Venice, very realistic. But I think my favorite of your recent updates is Lou Cigaloun, just beautiful how you have everything, the unique buildings, how you built on the hill, and the road with the NAM curves is great as well. Definitely looks like a place I'd enjoy going to on vacation.
