Very nice, I love the newspaper and the squiggly streets. Very suburbish. Looking forward to more, gabetx!

Lol, ya I didnt wanna get griddy at the beginning. But I realized Houston/New Orleans (the style I am trying to match with building this city) both are griddy.

Hey that's good work! i like grids personally, but im trying to get off using them too much. I really like the layout of the town. My one little criticism is that the area around downtown should have less blank terrain and a little more development, but otherwise excellent work!

yeah.. you are doing a good job.. but the shadows look weird.. they are too long on the terrain like if it is always sunset..

keep it up!!

Thanks for the comments guys!

I like the shadow mod, but I think in half of those pictures its suppose to be night time.

Also, the city is still small so there will be a lot of maxis stuff for a while and it will be small. I am trying to keep it real.

Anyways I really appreciate your time and comments!

Keep it up.

Nice start! The town is looking good -- very nice map and the good selection of homes and spaces is sure to be a hit with the sims!

gabetx: Looks promising, but your images are too overdone in photoshop IMO.  My eyes hurt now.quote>

I am not quite sure what you are talking about there my friend.  For my pics come straight from the game and are not edited one bit. Lol.

Oh, I know what you mean now, do you know how to get rid of them?

It is a very beautiful region, maybe to never have highrises would be something to consider. I would love to see it fully sprawled.

Wow you like my region too?! Thanks. Ya, I plan on only having sky scrapers downtown. Maybe an uptown to it as well. But other then that its not going to be a Sky-Scraper-lopolis. Lol.

Welcome to Page 2!

Hey guys! I am here for UPDATE 2! W00t. We are just chuggin along! Lol, just kidding.

Anyways, thank you guys so much for the support and feedback! 29 replies is amazing after just one update! I really appreciate it guys, I wouldnt be able to do this withoug your support and motivation. Just remember, I enjoy making this as much as I hope you enjoy watching.

Anyways, to UPDATE 2!

The city is now at 37,000 or so people and is booming. A lot is going on around town and people are clamoring for an airport.

The newspaper has the full story: (Or at least of what I could fit on the front page, Lol.)

Newspaper2.jpg

This took me about an hour or so. No biggie.

Anyways, on to shots of the city.

Tridelton is among Americas top 5 fastest growing cities. It has gained 12,000 people in the last 6 months. The city has no signs of slowing down either. This and much more to come on the next newspaper, so keep your eyes peeled.

Now, recent shot of the CBD. This area is rapidly growing and is in high demand.

t1.jpg

The new Tridelton School District Multi-sport complex stadium. This will be featured in the next newspaper as well with details.

t2.jpg

Newly developed area less than a mile east of downtown.

t3.jpg

New warehouses, Intersection with fast food and grocery store, and neighborhood.

t4.jpg

Close-up of newly developed diagnol neighborhood. (Trying to break the grid!)

t5.jpg

Commercial development along I-73

t6.jpg

My first night shot of downtown

t7.jpg

Its nothing much. But hey, what do you expect? The city only has 37,000 people.

The whole city  view. Snow storms all around.

t8.jpg

Updated transportation map.

t9.jpg

Well, that'l wrap it up for now guys! Hopefully I can squeeze an update in either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I thank you guys for taking your time to visit! Once again thank you for the wonderful comments guys and suggestions.Keep them coming!  As always comments and constructive criticism welcome!

I hope you enjoyed this update!

Until next time, take care!
