Hey im happy that its lakers vs Celtics. I mean really, the last few Finals have been unbearable for me to watch with the Pistons and Spurs with their "creative" "flashy" styles of playing. alas, its a style that wins in this league.

Jealous of freaking Boston sports fan, however, i mean WTH lol you guys got the World Series Champs, a team that should have won the big one after going undefeated until the last game, and now the Celtics. lol am I forgetting anyone?

Either way i am rooting for the Celtics to win it all, but i hope Kobe scores 50 each night, just because it is so fun to watch him play.

Beat LA! Beat LA! Beat LA!

Celtics have answers for Kobe but the Lakers have none for Garnett. This means the Celtics will exploit that weakness till the Lakers must focus in on Garnett, allowing Peirce to start taking it to the lane. This will force Kobe to give more effort on D to defend Peirce, who will punish him physically, thus weakening him on the offensive side. Science 3.gif

    WOW.

Celtics win game 4 by 5 after being down by 24 at half.

one of the greatest come backs i've ever seen.

    Celtics up 3-1.

Alan and Peirce were on fire.

Good for you. Try being a Kings fan like me (I'm thinking about putting out an arrest warrant for those refs).

yea. Its so fixed its not even funny. Just look at the number of calls boston got in boston, versus the calls LA got in LA.

Both teams were getting foul shots for little taps in there home, and getting nothing for hacks on the road.

    132-91  geeze ous 41.gif

    39 points?

If you think about it was this seires even close?

They easy wins in games 1and 2

lose game 3 by 6, come back from 24 down to win game 4, down by 19 in game 5 and only lose by 5?

    Domination if you ask me.

KG deserved this title, especially after what McHale had down to him here. The best things McHale did for KG were draft Marbury, bring in Flip Saunders, give him a one year shot at the tittle, and trade KG away. Anyone have a guess as to whether the Wolves would have been better had they not traded Marbury away because Marbury was afraid of Minnesota weather?

I've followed the Lakers this season and while it is disappointing that we lost the Finals, not many people would have expected us to be anywhere near the Finals at the start of the season when Kobe demanded a trade.

The defense has been a problem for the Lakers for a lot of this season while watching the games, hopefully Pau Gasol can improve further next season. Our good offense usually wins us the game as we usually give quite a lot of points away even in our wins. Against a defense as good as the Celtics though, that was going to be a big problem and they deserved their championship as they got better as the playoffs went on and in the final game last night, they were virtually unstoppable.

I think that with Andrew Bynum hopefully back in the lineup next year, it could be another very good year for the Lakers and with most of the team being relatively young, we could contend for a while yet.

    W0000000000000000000000T!!!

incredible, performance. The best game i have ever seen one team play. We shut down Kobe, our offense was lights out, Rondo was a pest both on D and O, Garnett was a monster downlow, Allen was an assassin, and Peirce was a warrior. The bench was phenominal.

Its great, after 8-9 months of basketball, after rome, after that crazy start, after the never ending winter, after march+april, after the scare with the hawks, after the duel with cleveland, after the coming out party with detriot, and after rekindling a rivalry, to say, that the Celtics, Big 3, and Boston, are on top. Its gonna be tough to go without basketball for 3 months after this intense postseason.

This celtics team not only rejuvinated a fanbase, team, and legacy, but it rejuvinated a struggling NBA.
