As I suggested earlier, we can simply work around the intro.dat by making our own.

We create a video or animation in any format that suits us, then write a simple piece of code that plays the video when you start the game. It's not hard.

I personally was more interested in the .mad format because of its relationship to the .dbpf files that govern the Advisors and the eventual decoding of the whole game.

    A huge discussion took place, and now Andisart is back. SimMars was never operated by SCRT directly, but indirectly. (If you need further explanation just PM me, but otherwise i am keeping this discussion out of this topic.)

    Shoji, that look great, but it is a little too pixel-ish. If you could make it look more clean, that'd be great.

    In fact, let's forget about the entire image. Instead of a 500km-above-the-surface view, why not have a 'first colony' view?
