Excellent downtown shots! The balance between skyscrapers, civic buildings, parks/plazas, and parking lots is really nice. Also, your building choices are really top-notch, a great combination of Maxis and excellent CC. Keep up the impressive work!

Oh, man, another CJ that's 100x better than I'll ever be at the game. Great job here - except it's soo dirty lol. How do you get the night photos like that? That's amazing talent

    I'm back!

KingTitan - Thank you, that was the look I was going for on some of those, so it's nice of you to notice!  Thanks for stopping by!

tigerplayer91 - Thanks for saying that!  Good that you are sticking around for more updates, see you later!

gabry85 - Thanks, thaaaaaaaanks!  lol    I'm very glad you like my downtown pictures, and I absolutely will enjoy my 3 week vacation, or am enjoying it - thank you!

Giligone - Thank you, yes that is one of Caulkatoo's great BAT's.  Thanks again for commenting!

    bbfan02 - I'm glad you think so!

manticorefan - Thank you very much, glad you like it!

City2TheMax - Thanks, and it is no where near being finished, so everything will fill in nicely - development is just going slowly right now!

crazyyaya - Thanks, I'm glad you think that it is at a high standard, I will try my best to keep it that way!  I already screen my pictures for each update, meaning for an update containing 10 pictures I probably take around 20 or 25 pics, and go through and only select the best ones.  (Most of the time.)  When I select buildings to use I really don't concentrate on what style it is, I only go by whether or not it looks good with the others.  Thanks again for the great post!

Caulkatoo-210893 - Yeah your buildings are awesome!  It is easy to edit a pic when the building looks that great to begin with!  Thanks for commenting again!

Criquette - Thank you, glad you are enjoying it!

feliwi - Thank you, I hope it will still look good when it's finished!

PhilsCafe - I remember both of those very well, they were both awesome cj's!  I'm glad you like my pics, and you are correct about the major leagues - a new NFL team is going to be announced shortly!  Thanks again!

cleaner475 - Oh no, now i'm a murderer!  lol  Thank you very much, glad you like the pics!  I don't think it looks too out of place, the original one is in dowtown Houston!  Thanks again!

jacqulina - Thanks Jacky, I was hoping you would like them!  As always thank you for the wonderful comments!

ky72x - Thanks a lot!  I try to keep that balance intact, only the best Maxis buildings will make it through!  lol

Jill Jacobs - Hey!  Thanks for commenting in my cj, I'm glad you like it!  What do you mean it's dirty, it looks pretty clean to me!  lol   It's pretty easy to get the pics that way.  I don't have Photoshop, so I edit everything using Kodak photoediting software.  I just open up the picture, and on a night pic I adjust the scene balance making it darker and turning up the highlights.  Then I adjust the color balance by clicking on something very light blue, which gives the picture an orange glow.  And that's it!  Thanks for stopping by!

    pepsi71ocean - Thanks man, I will try!

JaWood - Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

Here is a very small update, just to get warmed up!

    Pic 11.1 - daytime overview...

    11up1-1.jpg

Pic 11.2 - Stone Creek Estates...

    11up2-1.jpg

    Pic 11.3 - At night...

    11up3-1.jpg

Pic 11.4 - Closer up during the day.  There is a funny story regarding the name of that lake, by the way.  An early mayor of Irish descent by the name of Shamus McGinty was booted out o

Oh man, I am in awe of what you've done here! Like others have said, that AIG building looks freakin' awesome! The overall layout of the city combined with the desert terrain makes everything look great! I look forward to more!

Nice city. It really captures that Arizona feeling. It's nice to see another city done with one of the desert terrain modds. I tend to always use them, but I think that's because I've lived in the desert my entire life outside of those few months I was in Los Angeles.

Wow, you're the master of green areas in desert lands! Excellent suburbs and highways! Great work with that narrow river too, very challenging to make in SC4! 44.gif

    It's update time again!

Giligone - Thanks again, man!  Lol about the extreme close-up comment!

AceofSpades - Thanks, I'm glad you like it - I will try and keep it up!

tigerplayer91 - Hey thanks!  I actually like doing suburbs, and the map is starting to fill in more after this update!

cityhawk - Thank you, glad you like my layout - see you later then!

rugar12 - Thanks, I'm glad you think it captures the Arizona feeling, having never been there myself - that is good to know!  This is the first time I used a desert mod, I was tired of always having temperate zone cities!

Godzillaman - lol, thanks again dude!

jacqulina - Thank you Jacky, glad you enjoyed them!

gabry85 - Thanks, I don't know about that though!  I think Suplado probably holds that title.  Glad you liked my creek!

Here is the update, 10 times better than the last one, which in my opinion sucked!  I will fill it in with captions a little at a time...

Nice update, very good work, especially the night pictures, they look very bold, and the baseball stadium matches the setting well. The new asian-styled buildings are great additions to the city. The only thing that bugs me a bit, is the jagged green edges on the dessert terrian, but those are hard to fix. You also have a few great hotels sprinkled around the city. Keep this up!

You know what's strange? The CN tower would fit in perfectly in there...3.gif

Truly better than the last update...that one seemed a bit boring!3.gif

Hey!  Have I posted here before?  If not wow...I dunnow how I missed 6 pages.  Anyway, the downtown is  very much seemurray2-like (a good thing, recalling your other CJ) & I like the new terrain mod, gives it a different feel!

update 2/06: hehe, those houses look really nice!  Especially in close up 3.gif

update 2/08:  Looks well-planned, I liked 12.3, great detail!... 12.6 wow reversed...it messes with my mind.. Everything's overpriced lol I know a few stores like that.  LOL that college that is funny...and a long acronym...i'd rather just say the real name.  Wow tampax park, I'm not even going there...Cool nighttime... Oh thats all!  Great pics!! 4.gif

Wow! I love Midtown! The map is definitely filling in nicely. Just as you said.

Another great update. You sure are good at editing those pics. I wish I had you talents! lol. I never thought of adding ploppable parking lots to surrounding buildings but it really makes them look more realistic!

Keep up the good work Seemurray2.

Hey, I've missed an update. I like Stone Creek estates, I love the houses. On the other hand I'd probably rather take a top-story apartment in the apartment building (11.4) to overlook the reservoir and the beautiful houses.

And a huge Midtown update. The new mid-rise area looks very nice, I like the aerated layout. Great night-pics.

lol I love the humor. The Muffdivers play in Tampax Park? Oh lord...but I bet they're popular with the ladies 2.gif

Nice editing on the pictures. Did you learn that at CBCCFTLIOSWDTMANCAHTCHTMUC? I think the students there spent too much time at Jack Daniel's Family Fun Zone (my favorite picture of the group btw).

    Hoping for more soon4.gif

Here is the next "update" as promised...

bbfan02 -  Thanks for commenting again, glad you are liking everything still!

crazyyaya - Thanks, I'm pretty fond of the night pictures too - but I think the city is at a point right now where the daytime overview shots are looking just as good as the night ones, IMHO.  Those jagged green edges don't really bother me that much, you kind of don't even notice them after a while!  Thanks again for commenting!

Godzillaman - Really?  Never thought about putting the CN Tower in there, you might be right about that though!  Glad you think that update was better, lol!

pepsi71ocean - Thanks, glad you liked those suburbs!

BlondeTwiggy - Hey, Twigster!  I don't know if you have posted in here before, but if not -shame on you!  j/k  3.gif   I'm glad you had a chance to catch up on some updates, and it seems you are liking them so far, so that's good!  You're not going to Tampax Park, I guess you don't like baseball then, huh?  lol    See you later!

boon1234 - Thanks, glad you could join us - and I'm glad you like my cj!

tigerplayer91 - Hey!  Thanks, glad you like my midtown area.  I think the parking lots help the realism as well, I mean those sims have to park somewhere, right!  4.gif  Thanks again!

PhilsCafe - Thanks, glad you like those homes - and the entire top floor of that apartment building is yours.  You think the views of the lake are good now, wait til spring break, lol!

    Thanks for commenting again!

Jill Jacobs - Hey thanks, yeah - everynight is ladies night at Tampax Park!  hehe  38.gif  No, I learned to edit pics at the South Harmon Institute of Technology!  lol  (I love that movie)  Jack Daniel's is your favorite?  Hmmm, I thought you were that type!  j/k  3.gif

Anyways, here is the new NFL team!   (ughh..  sorry about the crappiness - I did it in MS Paint)

    CBHELMET2.jpg

This is where they play their home games, Carnivores Stadium...

    CBSTADIUM.jpg

And here is the full region pic, sort of a top down view - those are all large city tiles, btw...

    Meridian.jpg

The airport is going to go either in the open space south of downtown, or the big open space to the northeast of downtown, it will need a lot of land - it is going to be huge!  That will be coming a little bit later though, after the city grows some more!

See you guys later, probably tomorrow - I am going out tonight, maybe to the Jack Daniels Family fun Zone!
