Don't worry, I never even saved that city you can see in the very serious update. I just emptied my plugins folder and bulldozed my Franklin Sound Inlet city, then built a horrible looking Maxis one using a plop mod to get all the Wren Insurances, took pictures and then exited without saving. The save windows were just put in using paint shop pro, I never really saved it.

Your city totally rocks! I love the tourist trap between the Gateway Arch and the Chrysler Building. None of your sims have jobs because the spaceport makes robots to do everything for everyone, right? I need to study this so I can build the perfect city later on.

For reals though, how did you do the light effect on the water in the previous (good) update? That looks incredible

I didn't use any sarcasm... I genuinely hoped you hadn't completely destroyed your cities, since the permanence of that operation isn't obvious without the printed manual. I myself have backed up whole regions so I could obliterate one tile. Sorry if you took offense.

That said, beautiful work. I especially like the rail setup, since I've never been able to get that perfect elevation so that the transition is straight. Reminds me a lot of the tracks near my house.

What a sweet looking city. Your progress on it so far is very nice. The way you made the railroad (elevated, in a way) is pure genius. It paved the way for the creation of that cool avenue tunnel. I'll be back to see more of Hawke Bay!

•UPDATE TWELVE  Hawke Bay Part One  8th APRIL 2008•

Yea, more work on Hawke Bay- god I love my New York Tileset...

3 Separate patches of high rise buildings, the high wealth glass tower section you saw last time and now a mid-wealth patch inspired by the building style on Manhattan Island in New York further back and a lower wealth almost slum area out near the rail tracks, here's some of the first pictures.
