jacqulina: Thank, I think the rural really needs to be mostly laid out before I continue messing with my metropolis.

Shilka: Yeah, I look at some journals and they chronicle all the little things they do and it is insane how long it must take to be so exact with shrubbery, etc...the trees are SimFox's trees made into mayor mode placable by mapsonswen = MayorModeTreesSimFox.  You also have to download SimFoxProps_8Chestnuts.dat (SimFox's actual trees).

    dfnva: SimFox's trees are amazing.

bluemoose: Amazing realism is the goal.

Simsamerica: I've been reading through the journal, too, and it is amazing seeing the ancient work and road designations that have been completely changed or discarded!

Thank you for those links packersfan! Those trees are really awesome.

And I must say it's a real joy to experience first hand how friendly and helpful the simcity community is, I hope I can return you the favor one day 4.gif

This looks amazing, the river and trees all match the Ohio Valley-type setting precisely. Your terraforming and road/rail placement are great as well. I can't wait for the next update!

Sessquenna Update 25 - Osseo Power Station
Following the Sessquenna River Road (FH-48) and the river railroad we reach the Osseo Power Station on the north bank of the Sessquenna River.  The station provides power for the northwestern Sessquenna area.

Lesson learned on that first mosaic - don't have smoke from a smoke stack at the dividing point between two sections of the mosaic.  Hope you enjoyed these two mosaics.  I am really going to try to keep updating at least occasionally during school and not disappear for six months like I did last time.  Keep up the great feedback and following. 44.gif

Really nice how a powerplant is not just a single building but a whole project area in your CJ.

Have a good year at school, any update would be welcome!

I love your care about details. This is what makes this CJ so awesome. Everything is carefully planed and even though you can't see single details while looking at whole thing they are still there and makes everything looks simply amazing. Hope you will find time to make new updates even when school will start. I'm staying tunned for MORE, cos it's so great t look at!

    Hello packersfan!

It has been quite some time since I visited one of your CJs I guess ... 45.gif. From what I saw on your last updates that was a mistake!

I love ho you led the avenue and the railway line run through the woods. Great work with the rural walls, lately I haven't used as much as back in 2005 / 2006 and you just showed me that this is a mistake!

Only think I don't understand: why don't you use the smooth curve and the FAR / FARR pieces from the NAM? Especially the rail curves do look much better with it.

    Take care my friend!

I think itsjust because curves looks like... well curves from far, but such turns looks like pixelized diagonal line, but this is only my guess...

I dont know I have to try and compare, but i have to admit, that after reading this CJ i also started to lay my roads making such "steps" so i can simulate any agle witch looks great on trasportation view, satelite region view, or even city views with lover zoom level.

Yeah, I'm slow to use the awesome new tools like RHW, FAR, and FARR that are available, because they just don't seem to give me the needed flexibility. I admit that all those really look a lot better, but I haven't had the time to really get them implemented and as I said they all have their limitations 15.gif

Well it is November and I am buried in school work.  NO TIME FOR SIMCITY or looking at Cities XL.  Mid-December I will be back updating hopefully.  Curious about CitiesXL, but reluctant to put down SimCity and $$$ to try it and right now sounds like a few too many disappointments :/   So I will probably keep playing SimCity until CitiesXL catches up on some things and I feel more informed (the complete opposite of what I did with SC4...I just picked that up and played and then found Simtropolis!)

Agh, I just realized that I lost all my street maps I had made during the last month before school, so now I'll have to do those again!!! What happen was that my I couldn't connect to the internet on my laptop to activate windows, so then Windows would let me in one day until I activated which required internet, but since I couldn't get into Windows I couldn't easily set up the internet...so I had to reinstall XP and lost all the street maps which I stupidly did not backup on my main computer, shoot.

Yeah...unfortunately no way to activate it without the internet, well I guess I could have called or something, o well...I'm just a little bummed I'll have to do those maps again. That took some time, but it shouldn't be too hard since everything is named in the game, so just a matter of putting the street names on the maps.

Bad news.  My hard drive died back in January and I lost Sessquenna.  I haven't even put SimCity on my new hard drive yet, but I think I will come back to SimCity once I graduate either creating a recreation of Milwaukee or another just gameplay city journal...

I love fresh starts, but I also really like Sessquenna and the direction it was going and all that work I had put into it...but now I'll get to once again take stuff I learned there and try to make an even better more complete region!
