Here are a few shots of this college town i built. started out as a small college town, then it grew over the years as the university gained widespread popularity and excelled in Division I sports. A few high rises were built in the downtown area. (only about 5 buildings were plopped)

This is the downtown of my European style city Burgerwaard with a little Dutch flavour. I like close ups!

Welcome to the downtown square, this is the heart of the city. This square is located in the middle of the downtown shopping area. This is an momumental square with fountain. Every year the king comes to this square and honour those that fight and die in the national wars. The big cathedral has been the quest of many important marriages of kings, queens, prime ministers and celebrities. Also the people come here every day for the big daily market. As you can see there are also nice terraces to get and get a nice cool drink and relax from a busy day shopping in all the many shops in Burgerwaard downtown. Also the City Hall is located here as you can see opposite from the terraces. From this square it is just a 5 min walk to Burgerwaard Central Station.

Like many other city's Burgerwaard have its own office tower district. In the west of downtown you will find many large an impressive office buildings. It is far from finished yet but you allready can see many big companies have build there hq and offices here.

Take a look at this impressive neighbourhood. Delfshaven. It is the old downtown houses south of the downtown square. Here you will find old style Dutch houses. This district is especially pleased by its old style houses and the canals that run between. All the wealthy, rich and famous people have an house here but also many lawyers offices are located here. Please be sure to buy a map ore use you're navigation system when you go here, because all the streets looks te same is very easy to get lost!

I know it looks a bit wired in the right part with a ton of towers that are the same, but it's my most beautiful city yet. I named it Goldenburg.

Hey Ferrariguy1000, where did you get that one tall building that they will be putting in Dubai. I can't find it, it's called the Burj al alam. The one on the island.

The Burj al Alam is not on an island, the al burj (link for those who have hunted this BAT forever http://rapidshare.com/files/45817082/Al_Burj.zip.html ) is. The Burj al Alam is on the STEX.

Wow, Runaway, that's probably the most realistic downtown I've ever seen! I think the suburbs start too soon though (but maybe that's the point). Here's mine. It does have a lot of maxis buildings, but it's good enough for me (I didn't include the super-repetitive Beigestone High-rises that popped up to the right!) his city is at 520,000 people and I am working on creating realistic urban sprawl in the region. The chaos:

You can see the avenues clearly by the air pollution:

But the region isn't planned like this city....

Whoa 'hahaha', way too many interchanges! While on a map it makes a pretty design, it isn't very realistic at all
