All Sims go to Heaven!

Okay, so I was playing around and burning stuff in my city (I know, shame on me ) And I destroyed a house that had one of my sims in it, and when it collapsed, I saw a ghost "rapture", so to speak, from the rubble into the sky. Weird...

All your *My Sims* ingame will die one day or another (whether by accident or naturally by age) and all will rise to the heavens so to speak. It's been like this since the beginning. I suppose some of you didn't know that. Maybe there's more that you didn't know????? How about the pilots jumping of an airplane with parachutes, or the fellow that sways in the sky on a chair with balloons, or maybe even the snow everywhere at Xmas time, or .......etc.

So many surprises.

OK, so....if your sim dies and goes to heaven, and the player is god, and heaven is where god is, then does that mean my sims are coming to the real world?

also you know if you have a burst pipe, your mysim can drown and fly away? You know that never made sense to me, because a burst pipe is not much of a flood, and I would hope my sims knew how to swim.. but whatever

I've seen everything you mention mrbisonm, except for the pilots jumping out of an airplane with a parachute.  When does the parachute thing happen?

Also, when a 'My Sims' dies they let out a ghostly sigh.

My favorite is one of the towers that features an individual on top that is spazzing out.

It happened to me only once four years ago, when I had the edges of the city that I played filled with some high mountains and then the armyairplanes started their yearly rounds but weren't able to contour the mountains and the planes crashed. Four or five parachutes appeared which slowly floated down to the ground where they disappeared. Unfornuatly I didn't take a picture because I thought that it happened currently, but I should have. Only very few people have seen it since. (Maybe I will build another city with very high mountains on the edge and pray for it to happen again.)

There is a U Drive It mission, where you try to get a skydiver to land in a landmark.  That shows a parachute jumper.

I don't know how well known this is, but occasionally I see a load of floats in the water that all seem to float together. They look like life rafts from a plane crash, but I've never seen a plane crash in any of my cities. They are all grouped together, usually over an area of about 7 or 8 tiles, and they seem to sit in the water and do nothing... Has anyone else seen this and/or knows what it is and why it happens?

And I'm going to have to try that thing with the house out, my sims have died before (because you get "Joe Bloggs the Second"), but I have never seen them die.

I remember once when I was just randomly flying around with the sky diving airplane. I flew off the edge of the city and I began to drop loads of skydivers out of the airplane. I saw a trail of skydivers falling and when they hit the ground, they just stand there for a while and then disappear. I still have a screen shot of it.

I had a MySim die of old age after several years. Her obituary appeared with the other news, saying that she died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. And she had an identical daughter, Sophia Spumoni the 2nd, who basically took over for her, living in the same condo building and everything. I didn't see a ghost, though. Maybe I missed it. The game was set on a higher speed.
