Man...the station you chose fits in, perfectly! I still see abandonment though...3.gif

Edit: page 5...this calls for celebration!

Sorry about this but I thought I would have updated by this time, but unfortionatly thats not likely. Last week when I tried to work on Springhurst, it crashed while loading the city, at first it seemed it was just another random crash, but in this case the crash reoccures each and every time I try to load a city, so I tried removing some of the recent plug-ins I downloaded and still it crashes. Right now I have few options to fix this problem, the best way I think would be to remove all my plug-ins and attempt to download only those necessary to run Springhurst. The other way would be to delete the region and start all over again, which I really wouldn't want to do (also if it does come to that, to hell with this city, its only been a nightmare to me, I'll just build a different city30.gif) until I have fixed the problem and have begun working on the region this thread will be on hiatus until further notice, which could be a while since I don't really have a lot of free time these days.

One more thing, just as a remembrance of what could be lost, I did manage to get a last screenshot of a part of Springhurst, take it in, this may very well be the last thing you see in this thread. 48.gif

    Feedback;

Minty: Mm. awesome sauce... anyway, don't be fooled, for it is the look of a cursed city 30.gif

GreekMan: thanks, but you can take it out if you would like, seeing as this thread is now dead 15.gif and don't worry about Glendale, It will be a great CJ. but if you would like more advise feel free to talk to me in the chat room if you catch me there 2.gif

Equilibria: well, they are old. lol, thanks.

Godzillaman: what abandonment? those small buildings center left of the picture? pfft. thats nothing.20.gif and since when does a celebration involve the Cloverfield marshmallow man? this one seems more appropriate  (link17.gif

Grant: Oh, at least once more. 45.gif you minty and airports... whats up with that? 21.gif

    beebs: why thank you beeington10.gif

edmonton_stinks: back... hah, if only it were true. Its funny that you say that though, seeing as I'm now locked out of my own city due to crashes and 'RL onslaughts' as you put it...21.gif

I now take my leave of this thread.

    Cheers!

    Greg.

    4 words....

    get a new computer

this is seriously driving me nuts though, you are very talented at building cities but it seems like we are never going to see a finished product again which is very disheartening. anyways, best of luck with whatever you do next....hopefully those plans will involve those houses i am waiting for 3.gif *wink*

    Hello once again.

    please discard statement above. 21.gif

Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but I didn't feel it was necessary to start a new one. anyway...

I have decided to continue this CJ, but unfortunately I couldn't find what was causing the game to crash every time I tired to access the original city, so I had to start form scratch.

I don't have much for a full update now, so I'll leave that for next weekend, but here is an in development screen shot of my current progress...

    351214886611.jpg

Sorry about the not so clear picture, I don't want to show to much, but I didn't want to leave you with nothing. As you no doubt are able to tell from above picture, there is still some work to be done, a lot of empty spaces to fill, but Im saving that all for updates soon to come.

Also just as somewhat of announcement, Im currently working on several other city projects, you can see my signature for development Pictures if interested, although I haven't added any pictures to a few of the links. When I get around to it I'll post updates of those cities in this thread.

    Grant:

two words... I am. my old laptop died on me, now I am left with no choice but to get a new one! maybe this time I'll keep Springhurst running, eh? that would be nice for a change.48.gif

    jacqulina:

    much thanks!

    Godzillaman:

yeah, yeah. It was all I had!

    bbfan02:

well, Im glad to re-open this, as well as other projects to come.

    GreekMan:

I see you still have the link, its just as well, now that I have decided to keep Springhurst moving. 2.gif

to my fellow Canuck's, Happy Canada Day!

    Cheers, Greg.

I gotta say, you've got some extreme patience to endure the process of recreating Springhurst all these times. One things for sure, I definitely wouldn't be able to do it. 3.gif Nice work on the latest addition, your use of diagonal networks continue to be quite impressive. 4.gif

I like the fairly bleak 50s, 60s, atmosphere, especially the down-town and mid-town sections. And the historical city reminds me of English factory towns.

    I like it a lot.
