How many of you watch this channel, and what are your favorite shows?

Anytime I get to, I watch G4.   Even though I might watch it alot, I don't watch it every day.  That channel has good info on Games.  My Favorite showes are:

 

Judegement day =  I like to see what games get out of 10 (also hardware).  I watched this show when it had E3 on it.   If you are confused why I said 7/10 on Revolution and 9.5/10 on playstation 3, this is were I got them from.   I did not watch the X-Box one (The 360).  * On another topic in this fourm section.

 

Filter = I like to see what games (in different categories) get ranked out of 10.  (1 is the best, while 10 just made it).

 

Cheat=  I like to see what some of the games cheats are.  If I have the game I will watch it and write down the codes or go online to their cheat master database.

 

** This is just a few.  I have more, but this some of the shows I watch.

Before when G4 and Tech. TV were Together I watched Robot Wars.  I like seeing robots beating the metal out of each other.  Some of the episodes I liked.   I also like seeing the house robots.  One episode showed a robot beating up some house robot. It was funny.

Yay! A thread about a channel which has gave the comptuer geeks and nuts alike no source for television to watch anymore focused on technology instead of some stupid MTV-like host to say they like games!

If you can't tell already, I hate G4 and wish Comcast would have never bought out TechTV from Vulcan Communication. Anyway, I will occasionally pop by the channel and possibly watch a few minutes or a show, or an episode of X-Play, the only show on the network I really like and is left from the merger from the TTV end.

May the network crash and burn and some other corporation bring back a new technology channel to the masses, something that might shine to or even better than the greatness known as TechTV. (end rant, sorry about that)

*For that matter, the destruction of TTV has left me with having FNC on all day, great news network

I didn't vote. There is no category for I know all about this channel and despise it.

I used to watch it every now and then before it became G4, but they got rid of or destroyed all the decent shows and filled their programming with a bunch of crap. I used to complain about X Play being annoying, and now it is the best thing left on there.

Why not have a separate channel for anime?

G4tech tv is awesome i usually watch X-Play when its on but i don't like cinematech.If you don't get G4 you should get it.

Man, I watch it every day! I like the following shows:

It's ATTACK OF THE SHOW!
I love AOTS. It's so interestingly stupid yet informative. It's actually The Screen Savers with different hosts, a changed studio and a different name.

Filter
I love watching Filter, namely for Net to Know and the Tech Review, both with John Walsh. That look he gets in his eyes just creeps me out, but it's so cool! It's also funny when he stops a sentence and changes what he was going to say. For example: This product is guaranteed to add three to five inches to your MEDULLA OBLANGATA!

Cinematech
It gets kinda boring sometimes, but otherwise, it's great. We watched in class one day, and they were showing the game Samba de' Amigo!, and one of my friends said they looked like stupid retarded pygmys.

X-Play
It's worth it just for the constant sarcastic comments, funny montages and Arnold Schwarzaneggar (sp?) impressions. One time, Morgan said that a game would probably be reviewed at its rumored release date of the summer; Then a little Arnie pops up and says It's not a rumor! instead of, It's not a tumor!

Cheat!
Of the shows that I enjoy watching, this one probably gets the least of my screen time. When I have time, I'll watch it.

They explore ICONS of the video game world. GameBoy, Zelda, Mario, Halo, Miyamoto, etc.

I didn't get satellite until last November, so I don't know what TechTV was like. I cant stand Street Fury, Whips Set, Sweat, or Players. Thay have nothing to do with gaming at all, and they're a bit shallow for my liking. I don't care for Cheat! or Filter either b/c the hosts are bimbos and the jokes are lame. AOTS and X-Play are good, but I have a problem with Judgement Day. I cant stand Tommy Tallerico (or however you spell it) all his jokes are horrible, and his rating of games is so backwards its unbelievable.

Poor Anime Unleashed. They shoved it back to 1am for EST folks. I cant stay upto 1am to watch R.O.D. when I have exams in the morning

I like Players just because they show some of my favorite games on there sometimes.

 

Also, Tommy Tallarico. I also have a little story about him.

 

When he was around the age of 19, he was homeless. He slept on the beach at night. So he goes to work at a music store for the time's minimum wage, somewhere around 3 or 4 bucks an hour. His first day on the job, he had been in for thirty minutes, and a video game company (I think it was Sega) executive walked in. Tommy was wearing a video game t-shirt that day, so the guy said, You wanna work for (video game company)? He said sure, so he went to work there.

 

The funniest part is, he worked the register for half an hour, didn't even help a single customer, but he got paid his 3 or 4 an hour, plus 2-week compensation, you know when you quit your job, you get like 2 weeks' pay? That's what he got.

My favorite show was The Screensavers from when TechTV and G4 merged. Now G4 like bought TechTV so now the Screensavers turned into Attack of the Show. So now Attack of the Show is my favorite show!

I think the anime is the real prize on that network cuase you know they'll never show anything that good on Adultswim.They just started showing Gungrave and I'm hooked....

I also watched ROD,but on Cartoon networks Adultswim but they only showed the ROD movie which I think is really lame.I mean you should watch the show then the movie.But I guess with some shows it wouldn't matter as much....

Anyway yeah G4 is cool,but I only watch it when I'm bored or tired.....

In the UK we have a channel called the Game Network, I watch that sometimes and I also sometimes watch Robot Wars on Channel 5 and on the Jetix Channel.

x-play is awesome, especially the announcer dude at the end of every commercial break.  mothers, don't let your children grow up to be... Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb... i also like watching filter and the most recent little commercial for G4.  you know, the one with those guys doing DDR?

i never watch g4 for two reasons

they gave animal crossing a 5/5

they gave rouge agent 1.5/5

 

besides, between reno 911, mind of mencia, south park, family guy, futurama, sealab 2021, cowboy bebop, fullmetal alchemist, chapelles show, mad tv, Aqua teen hunger force, and stella, who has time to watch anything else?
