Let's Talk Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Alrighty, there's this game coming out soon called Super Smash Bros. Brawl.  It's a fighting game where dozens of our favorite Nintendo characters spar against each other for supremacy.

This is currently my most anticipated game not named Spore... online multiplayer, a new single player adventure mode, hundreds of unlockable junk, Wii controls, surprise characters like Snake and Sonic, and quite possibly the best soundtrack to hit a video game in years.

I have a Wii.  I am going to get SSM:B. 

As they said about the Gamecube:  "If you don't have Super Smash Brothers Melee, you don't have a Gamecube.  This will be the same for the Wii.

Oh man, guys, the New One!!! Sonic the hedgehog in a Mario game! I have seen Nitendo team up with Namco in the past with Pac-Man racing in one of the newer Mario Kart games, as well as those ghosts, but this is weird. LOL Mario and Sonic fighting for real! Eh. At some point I'm going to get a Wii, and I will of course be getting this game... but nevertheless I harbor some resentment now, since they put in Sonic and not Megaman. (In case you weren't aware, Sonic the Hedgehog and Megaman have a rivalry of sorts).

Mega Man has an outside chance still... they haven't released the complete roster just yet.  Personally, I would rather see Mega Man in there over Sonic, but you can't go wrong with either.

I don't have a Wii, but I hope to get one before the year is out. If that happens, that magic day in February will be like Christmas all over again. I love the Smash Bros. series! One of the best game series of all time...in fact, Melee is one of the Top 3 games I've ever played in terms of amount of time I've wasted on them (it's out of that, PokeGold, and SC3KU).

Holy crap, online play?!?! Wow, I had no idea...once I get really good I'll start going into that.

From what I hear though, it uses the gamecube controller instead of the wii remote. Which is it?

And I heard it was a Wii Classic controller, not the motion controller. I definitely want the motion controller for this game... which is awesome by the way...

The only thing I don't like is the fact that they haven't included Captain Falcon in the cast yet. I've always used C. Falcon, just cuz he's amazing... And is this Lucas guy the new Ness?

I check the site daily. It's too bad that it's coming out in February rather than December, but it will definitely be worth the wait.

What characters do you think you will use? Mine will probably end up being Luigi, Pikachu, Samus, Yoshi, and Kirby.

Yes it uses Gamecube controllers!!!!! Now my crappy wavebird controller will own!!!! My fave was bowser...he is most like Godzilla

It's gotten so much better recently since they included a stage builder which allows you to make your own stages and exchange them online... can you say awesome?

Yep Snake was confirmed when the first wave of videos came out earlier this year (or was it last year?).

Don't know about Tails. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

I hope I'm not bumping up too old of a thread here, but I caught my eye on a super-awesome feature called stage builder:

The idea is to create your own stage and choose even the background and music.  While it probably won't have as much flexibility as it would if you were helping design the game, it still seems pretty impressive and broad, something us SC4 fans would want.

Mmmmmmm.... Can't wait to crush people with Samus and Roy (still hope he makes it into the game). Plus all the new characters have me going nuts... I just cant wait untill It comes out. This is the game that will make me buy a Wii. Melee was, and still is, my favorite party game. Ohh the memries; sweat pouring down your face, straining every finger, desperatley fighting your nemissis in an epic battle to uphold you honor and pride. When this comes out, I might binge with is as much as SC4 (is that legal?).

Showing that likely fake Brawl lineup with the hovering "?" makes me wonder.  It's too bad most of us have to wait until March now, but Japan gets the game in a week or two so we'll get the scoop on all the characters and extras the Dojo site hasn't gotten around to mentioning.

Yeah, I don't expect some of those characters to be in the game, so the question mark on it does make it debatable. But I know that some of the characters that haven't been announced yet will probably most likely be in Brawl, like Luigi.
