How well do you know highways?

Wow, you guys are nowhere close. I don't blame ya though, its a hard one 3.gif

Hints:

-Its in Africa.

-Look at the landscape. It isn't a desert! (that eliminates about half of Africa!)

-Look at the highway. They drive on the left! (that eliminates about another half of Africa!)

So your down to 1/4 of Africa.

That should narrow your choices down pretty well. Good luck!

Best,

-Haljackey

Namibia is desert... I'll give a go at Kenya, the grass on the sides seems like typical Kenya

That's definitely Toronto, Ontario's Gardiner Expressway.  My answer is Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Well since Toronto, Ont Canada was guessed, I am going to say Montreal, Quebec Canada.

Well since it is not Canada, I am going to say Interstate 55 in or around Chicago, Illinois USA along the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal.

It's definitely the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto, Canada.I've double-checked this highway on google maps.  That's the rail yard to the left of the Gardiner, and further on are the ramps to the Don Valley Parkway.  The foreground ramps are those leading from Lower Jarvis Street and to Yonge Street.  Here's a pic from google maps to prove it:

The highway is exactly the same as the picture you posted.  The on-ramp crossing under the off-ramp, the S-curve, the nearby rail yard, etc.  And if you look at the lower-right corner...

    TORONTO

You'll need to re-check your answers, haljackey. 2.gif

I dunno, PD. It looks very similar, but it doesn't look exactly like it. Like, that factory is gone. So, Haljackey, you should try to use up-to-date pics, otherwise we will get similar confusion to this incident.

Well the correct answer is India, but I do see the resemblance to Toronto, pilotdaryl.  It could have been that highway uploaded on an Indian website, and I will assume that that's what was done.

Anyways, I'm back on track!  Try this one:

    The image

I am also running out of pictures at an alarming rate.  If anyone wants to take over as the hoster, then PM me and Duke87.

    Best,

Hey, I'm game to take back over. If you're running out and don't want to get more, just say when you're at the last one and I'll pick things up from there.

That factory has been demolished, and that is in fact the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto, Canada.  Maybe you checked out an Indian vacation journal site with pictures from say... the CN tower 2.gif

My guess is Interstate 15 somewhere in Colorado

Okay, see this is why it's prudent not to assume a picture is from a given country just because the site is. Check the caption and its context on the page. If the site is in another language, google can translate it for you.
