Yes officer, I understand the charges...j/k lol3.gif  But I did see the really high cost, I'm hoping that my sign BATs will bring me--err, I mean, us--out of our debt.  In the meantime, me and lilmanjs planned this out and lilmanjs wanted me to post it.  It's a future plan for our company.  For now, just disregard everything else as that is for the future (so you may want to keep track of that as well) Currently, just focus on the blue circles for our combination bus and subway stops.  For this you can use road top mass transit...version 2 or 3 is fine.

EDIT: And depending on the position of the 202 tollway, some bus stops may have to be moved a bit...

Yoshiisland - Yes, the Highway Signs will net you somewere around 4,500 to 5,000 Points when the westbound side is completed... (speaking of which I need to post those for you) with the completion of the remaining sector's of the tollway you'll probably have somewhere around 3,500 to 4,000 Points remaining...  the bus project would easily be feasable... I just needed to know, what were the yellow lines for? The 202 Tollway, will most likely completely remove the former alaignment of Highway 202 from the East/West connector, all the way to Highway 6... If you want me to proceed with the construction and just charge you when you get the points then I will do that, that way both you and willg can get the most up to date pictures...

KingTitan - Yes this is coming along quite a way... I REALLY should have taken before and after photo's

    jacqulina - I'd agree...

I'm holding a vote! The completion of the A2 Tollway will upgrade Highway 2 into either an Avenue or a Rural Highway, just outside of Linaton. Should Highway 2, after the terminus of A2, continue as an Avenue / Rural Highway with at grade intersections? Or a city maintained Freeway with unnumbered Interchanges?... 20 Point bonus to responders!

Well, Linaton is a small, rural sort of area, so I think rural highway would work well.

In my opinion, I would go with a rural highway, with the capability to upgrade the intersection for Linaton (Lina Park Way, I think...) to an interchange (proposed Exit 9 on the 202/A2/2 "Northeast  Improvement Corridor," which is my name for this project).  Exit 8 (old exit 11) on A2 would be free, so toll-free access to existing Highway 2 will be preserved.

2nerdy4u - Very well, you should speak with Tuckaway transportation to dertmine whether or not Lina Park Way will be converted into an interchange or not...

Yoshiisland- Okay. As for the subway routes, I can't do (or atleast not that many) for two reasons, for one, it would put the budget way under... and the second is it would be rather unrealistic for such a small town to possess so many lines of Subways... Of course not to your offense but just to give a mild example, the city I live in is Atlanta and has somewere around 5 Million people, yet there are in reality only about 5 Subway / Light rail lines...Newark only has 150,000 people so it would kind of stick out like a soar thumb if you get my drift. I would suggest instead of densly packing the subway lines together, to biuld a central hub station in Downtown, sprawl the subway lines out towards the suburbs and give them parking lots, and strategically position bus stations to feed into the subway stations, that way it's more realistic, still very functional, and cheaper for both of us...  Also ... I need tuckaway transportation's decision on whether or not I should biuld the entire 202/A2 Tollway and bill your points when you have enough to cover it, or if you would like me to just wait and biuld it portions at a time. Oh!!! Yes would you be willing to help Iamihop11 with the possible relocation or underground placement of the South Shore Rail Line? I'll need to relocate some of it anyway to biuld the 202 Tollway... I need to know and to know upon which terms if you do that way I can get some quotes up...

Houston_Fan - Very well, motorists will not be tolled until they access the onramps on both of the highways anyway thus making it impossible for travelers on Highway 2 to become tolled. Check with 2nerdy4u to see if he wants the Highway 2 freeway to have an Interchange with Lina Park Way, or a standard at grade intersection. Also again with Tuckaway transportation, I need to know if you guys would rather me complete the tollway now and bill you when you have enough points to cover it or not...

    MPTC - Okay!

Willg - I havn't forgotten about your request, I'm still trying to see what Tuckaway transportation wants to do with that area this way your development can go as smoothly as possible..

Iamihop11 - I havn't forgotten about your request either... I just want to know if Tuckaway transportation would like to partake in any portion of your rail re-alaignment, btw have you spoke with Benedict?

Now a small request of my own...

The City Scape Region view is about 7,700 X 4,030 Pixels. This is absolute HELL on M.S. Paint, although it still loads and views fine on any webbrowser and preview mode... I'm finding that because of memory issues (I currently have 1 Gig on Windows Vista, upgrading to 2 Gigs soon.), that I can't really expand the image dimensions much further while maintaining editability... Making anything more than the 5th Zoom level on SC4 impossible... Does anyone know of any image editing programs that might be better suite for tremendouse size images?

    ________________________________________

Now for our regular update, but first... alot of you have noticed the lack of my updates and sometimes even missed requests, and you're about to see just one small fraction of where I've been putting the majority of my effort into... ...

First off, I want to introduce to you... http://bluehopecityjournal.bravehost.com/ ... Does anything come up? Nothing? Good that means it's working because I just registered it tonight! Okay, now seriously...

    City Scape View

Copy and paste this into your address bar, this will bypass remote linking in which isn't permitted by bravehost...

    http://bluehopecityjournal.bravehost.com/FullRegion.jpg

This is the full region view at the highest zoom level as promised... It isn't quite perfect, this is only a Beta version... The final version will feature route markers, city limits, and user developments... As you can see it is also slightly unjustified as some places don't match up quite perfectly but I will work that out in the final version... This is just so you can see what the full region view will look like... You can zoom in into the highest zoom level allowed in the city editing mode and it gives you a better jist of things than the region view does.  I'm still trying to figure a way out to make a 3rd / 4th zoom level though... I guess that will come on time...

This image took me about a week to compile. I'd expect probably another 2 weeks to perfect...

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT OR YOU WILL GO TO YOUR GRAVE SORRY - Save that image and open it in M.S. Paint... It will be VERY slow. I have 1 gig of Ram and it was slow to the point of almost motionless for even me. I understand that the standard these days is easily 2 gigs but it's just to let you know, that image isn't very forgiving to M.S. Paint... Windows Preview or any browser will work fine though.

    Now... into our update...

    ______________________________________________

First lets have a look at the local news!

    News.jpg

As we can see, obvoiously Mr.Brown informed the press false evidence, accusing Soni for the attacks at Millidgeville. Will our Hero beable to escape the renagades of the hostile island, or worse, the media?!

As for the Tollway, lets have a look at the progression of the 202 / A2 Expressway!

    TollwayCrowd.jpg

A crowd gathers with the Mayor and representatives of Tuckaway Transportation to celebrate the completion of the first portion of the Tollway! As seen here, the celebration occurs on brand new interchange between A2 and FBC Drive! Exit 6... While this portion of the tollway is complete, it will not be open to traffic until the instalation of the Electronic Tolling Gantries. Signs will be installed during this procedures aswell.

    Tollway1.jpg

A better look at the completed interchange between FBC Drive and Highway A2, The Interchange in the Mountains... ... The highway temporairly ends here and awaits the approval for the construction of the Eastern Portion.

    Tollway2.jpg

The interchange between Highway 202 and Highway 35 was recently upgraded. Most traffic can keep moving at all times, except for the Southbound 35 to Eastbound 202 who must cross opposing traffic to accomplish this. This area required the relocation of raillines, the clearing and blasting of Mountains into stable cliffs, a complete new route for Old Highway 35... and ALOT of patience... This interchange was by far the hardest to complete in this project. 202 Westbound temporairly ends here until the final approval to complete it to the East/West Connector, which will require some more mountain blasting and patience...

    Tollway3.jpg

The Exit 4 and Exit 5 were finally linked together in this long stretch of highway, recently completed were overpasses and Highway...

    Tollway5.jpg

Just after the terminus of Highway 202, A2 continues as an express alternative to Highway 2. Rails were realigned to pass under the same over pass as the expressway into a freight station.  This portion leads up into the hills for its next interchange with FBC drive...

    Tollway6.jpg

Higher view to see just how the tollway manuevers around Highway 2...

    Tollway7.jpg

Higher view of the Park Place Industrial district and Highway 35's interchange with the 202 Tollway..

Thats not all however... It also seems as if they have opened a channle for power into the electrical system of the tollway, so tonight... for the first time... The towers shine brightly over the empty expressway!

    Tollway9.jpg

    At Highway 2, 202, and A2 interchange...

    Tollway10.jpg

    At Highway 35 Interchange

    Tollway11.jpg

Close up of Highway 35 interchange at night..

    Tollway13.jpg

Close up of Highway 2's interchange at Night

    Tollway14.jpg

    Again at Highway 35

    Tollway15.jpg

and finally...the Westbound ramp into Northbound Highway 35 and Old Highway 35...

How do you like it Tuckaway Transportation? Did it come out the way you desired Houston Fan?

    ___________________________________________________________

Now for a few sniplits of sprawl around the area...

    Tuckaway.jpg

Tuckaway is becoming a mansion haven! The elite class enjoy being away from the populous yet in a convinient location!

    Lantia.jpg

And Lantia, with its recent addition of water... biulds its first mansion!

    Congratulations...

That highway is looking great! Just bill me with the points when I'm done with the signs; they should be done by this weekend. And I'd be more than willing to help Iamihop, too! Finally, thanks for the advice on the subway lines, I think I'll follow up what you said.

Hmm... I have something I would like to develop close the proposed A2 eastern extension...  I'm going to call it The Village at Mountain Ridge, Phase I:

    tollway11ri4.jpg

Let me explain:  The light blue lines mean that those streets need to become roads.  The light yellow is a one-way road roundabout (NAM).  And the red is a street to be removed.  In addition, the reserved land is for shopping centers, such the Plop-A-Shop by Simgoober (not to be built initially).  Also, the area east of the recycling center (later to be removed), and south of the proposed medium-density residential (it's currently a farm and low-density residential) would also become medium-density residential.  I'm not sure if I could build this, since I'm with Tuckaway Transportation, but I have points for myself, so...

    willg - Very nice!

lilmanjs - Yes, I'll get that to you on the next update, probably tomorrow because of the amount of updates I have to do... ...If you're patient however you could wait until the launch of the website, it will have everyone's development in the most current status shown in both the cityscape and development mode... it's going to take me a minute to finish though...

MPTC - Awsome, I'm using it now, I might beable to do it... I am curious though, does this program have the ability to make lines?

Yoshiisland - Awsome, I'll give you and iamihop11 the quotes to relocate or go underground... You could consider using this opportunity to biuld a passenger rail aswell... ... Also, along with the relocation of the rail, The East West Connector, from Exit's 6 to 8 is becoming a Sunken Highway with frontage roads to accomidate for the closely spaced interchanges and overpasses in that area... ...This will be covered by the city..

e350tb - Yes, thats honestly the best place for it... convinient to the expressway, rails and workers... Would you like to choose a location or should I?

2nerdy4u - Thanks! As it stands it's about the brightest thing in Newark...Construction is continueing..

Houston_Fan - Okay, I'll begin that and give you a quote after the completion of the tollway because some things might change in that area... not a whole lot but just to be on the safe side...

About the avenue extending north from the Bridge:  My vision for this route north of A2 is to become a toll road (there would be a free exit north of A2) extending through the mountains, and to the north end of the region.  In addition, an interchange with non-stop movements should be built at A2 Toll for this route.  Another idea is to construct an interchange and overpass (free) at the railroad tracks and over Highway 2, to ease the transition from arterial to controlled access.  The idea seems kind of vague now, but I hope to clear it up later.  (Also, I may have to scrap the shopping center plans for the Village at Mountain Ridge)

    Need4Camaro,

I finished modeling your highway signs and put one on a lot to see how they look.  Here's a pic of it over a ground highway and rural highway...
    sandboxcitymay100011910ho7.jpg

    sandboxcitymay200119103gl8.jpg

I hope it's not too hard to know where each sign goes.  I tried to use the descriptions/item names to help you identify which is which (for example, this is a picture of the sign you labeled "202East2.  I'm going to correspond with your 'labeling system').
